True Favour...

Today, I'll be discussing something very different than normal, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).

The topic is something that seems to rarely happen.  I'm going to tell you about a wedding I attended, last Saturday, April 11th, 2015!

A friend of mine, who was also a friend of my deceased husband Gordon's, had been a single person for quite a few years.

J, who we usually called... B, is someone I rarely see anymore.  But, we do chat from time to time, on Facebook (FB).

M, is a lady that I met a few years ago, when a group of us Christian singles got together once in a while.  Mainly, we went to enjoy an evening of Karaoke, even if we weren't drinkers.  :)

B & M had been dating for quite a while.  Even so, they made the decision to get married.

I must admit, their wedding was very different than any other wedding I had ever attended.

Yes, there were many, many people in attendance.  Some of whom, I have known for a long time, but hadn't seen in quite a while.

For about a half hour before the wedding ceremony was to take place, their church worship team played music.  Music that we all stood up and sang, to honour and worship God.

It was an enjoyable time, to be sure.

When the ceremony began, I was surprised to see that it was handled differently than I had ever seen before.  Many times people in attendance laughed, due to things that both B and his pastor discussed.  (Yes, B is a comical fellow!)

Even so, it was lovely.

And, so was his bride, M.

During the service I took some photos.  However, I haven't been able to save them, yet.

They are on my new cell phone.  I'm not quite sure how to get them saved onto my computer, or send them from my phone.  So, I am not able to post any pictures.  :(

All in all the wedding ceremony was absolutely adorable.

I was so very happy for M.  After all, she found a good and loving man to be her husband.

I was also so very happy for B.  After all, he found a good and loving woman to be his wife.

Yes, I was very happy.  After all, finding a spouse is a good thing.  Especially, if you are male.

Just as we read, in Proverbs 18:22, "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord."

Yes, I believe B obtained favour of our Lord.  For He provided him with a wife that I believe will truly make B happy.  And, the same in reverse for M.  I believe B will truly make her happy.

Once B and M were introduced as husband and wife, they headed to the gym area of the church.

This is where we all joined them to congratulate them.  And, we all enjoyed a delicious meal, together.

Even though it was truly a happy experience celebrating the love these friends have for each other, I found myself holding back tears, during the ceremony.  Tears of joy, to be sure.

I am so truly happy for them.

As I wrote to them, I pray that God will bless each of them, and their marriage!

Until next time...
