Just as I mentioned in yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I will be telling you about worshipping this past weekend. Easter weekend!
Resurrection Day, Easter SONday, was an extremely busy day for me. As I'm sure it may have been for you, also.
Mine was very different. More different than it ever has been in the past.
Before I tell you about it, I must say that I don't think I had even two (2) hours sleep, before getting up to go worship.
It wasn't that I had trouble sleeping. Although I must say, I don't usually go to try and drift off, early in the evening.
The fact is, I had to be up at 4:00 a.m., on that morning of Easter Sunday.
In addition to having things to do on the computer, I also had to get ready to go worship. And, found myself hurrying to get there, even after waking up that early!
If you think I'm referring to my church family's normal worship time of 11:00 a.m., you are not correct.
We had scheduled a Sunrise Worship Service. The time was for 6:00 a.m.
While this may have been a new time of worship for me, there were many people from the Philippines, Indonesia, and other places, where they were used to having sunrise services, in the past.
I must admit, it was a wonderful service of worship. We exalted our Lord.
Just as we are told to do, in Psalm 99:5, "Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy."
He is Holy. He needs to be exalted. And, definitely was, during this, our early morning sunrise worship service!
How blessed I felt, participating with my church family during this very different, yet honouring time of worship. Thank You!
How grateful I am to be able to worship with brothers and sisters in the Lord, who truly love Him.
It was absolutely, wonderful. Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
