Sleeping Sickness?!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), from time to time, I use music in my daily entries.  I'll be doing this, today.

However, today's reason for music, is a little bit different than normal.  Well, okay... it's a BIG difference!

You see, the person shown on the video I'm sharing with you, is someone I know.  In fact, she's the mom of my great-granddaughter S, who was born in January 2015.

Samantha Garvey, is playing music and singing on the YouTube video, entitled Sleeping Sickness Acoustic Cover.  Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ywc1jgr7gc&feature=youtu.be.  The lyrics are below.

Sleeping Sickness Acoustic Cover

I awoke
Only to find my lungs empty
And through the night
So it seems I'm not breathing
And now my dreams are nothing
Like they were meant to be
And I'm breaking down, I think I'm breaking down

And I'm afraid
To sleep because of what haunts me
Such as living with the uncertainty
That I'll never find the words to say
Which would completely explain
Just how I'm breaking down

Someone come and, someone come and save my life
Maybe I'll sleep when I am dead
But now it's like the night is taking sides
With all the worries that occupy the back of my mind
Could it be, this misery will suffice?

I've become
A simple souvenir of someone's kill
And like the sea
I'm constantly changing from calm to hell
Madness fills my heart and soul
As if the great divide could swallow me whole
Oh, how I'm breaking down

Someone come and, someone come and save my life
Maybe I'll sleep when I am dead
But now it's like the night is taking sides
With all the worries that occupy the back of my mind
Could it be, this misery will suffice?
Oh, in my life

Someone come and, someone come and save my life (save my life)
Someone come and, someone come and save my life (save my life)
Someone come and, someone come and save my life
Could it be, this misery will suffice?

While this song may or may not have been written for Christian use, it struck me that indeed the lyrics talk about how hard life is, and how they need someone to save their life.

Save their life?

Only Jesus can truly do this!

Will misery suffice, as the lyrics requests to know?

Only possibly here on earth, in life.  Or, in Hell, if a person goes there.  But, not in Heaven.

For once we who are Christian leave this earth in physical death, we will be in Heaven.

In Heaven, with no more pain.  No more suffering.  And, in Heaven with God.

How can we be sure we will spend eternity in Heaven, with God?

Do what God's Word, the Bible tells us in Acts 16:31, "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

What does it mean to believe on the Lord, Jesus Christ?

It means to not just believe He existed in the past.  It means that we need to have a relationship with Jesus.

We need to trust in/believe upon Jesus, who gave His life for the sin of the world... for those who believe upon Him.

So, my friend... if you have not yet come to Christ, do so as soon as possible.

We are not guaranteed tomorrow.  Nor, are we even guaranteed life a few minutes from now.

Come to Christ, now.

Until next time...
