If you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, you'll know that on Tuesday evening, I was honoured by Avon, and enjoyed a delicious dinner with other people in my area who accomplished much like I did, to obtain this reward.

When I think about how God worked for me that evening, it almost blows me away.

Seriously, I enjoyed time, food and fellowship.  But, also received some gifts, like other people did.  Plus, I received a couple more gifts than many others in attendance.

As you're probably aware, I have some physical limitations.  You've probably read LwL or known me in real life or on Facebook (FB) long enough to know this.

Some people call this situation a disability

Well, I would agree, for I truly am partially disabled.  And, have been for many years.  Since being injured when I drove that school bus and was hit by a tractor-trailer driver.

The lady seated next to me, was also partially disabled.

Years earlier she apparently had a stroke.  Although she mostly recovered, she never regained the use of her right hand and arm.

During our meal, we talked.  And, talked.  And, talked.

She told me how she had been selling Avon much longer than I have and was happy she had finally made it to President Club Status.  Like I did.

She was shocked when she found out it only took me five (5) months, last year.  And, was not the least bit surprised when I let her know that I am already more than half the way there, for this year.

During our conversation, we both discussed our disabilities.

How grateful I am that I met this lady.  I'm sure she feels the same, since she said that she would join me and hopefully others, at Christian Singles Café, at Tim Hortons, when we meet on the first Saturday of the month at 7 p.m. on Tecumseh Rd. E., in Windsor (next door to Red Lobster restaurant).

You see, like me, she is no longer married.  However, she is blessed to have a teenage son still living at home with her, and helping her in some ways.

She asked me how I did so well, in such a short time.

I let her know that I did not contact any of my past real estate clients.  Nor, did I contact any realtors.

She was surprised when I told her how I just created new customers for me, regarding Avon.  Sorry, I won't discuss it here and now, but she let me know that she would try and do the same thing.

I was glad I gave this lovely lady some information to help her.  And, I prayed for her, silently.

It is my heart's desire that God will provide for her, the way He has for me.  I believe He will.

Thinking about our discussion, brought to mind, Luke 6:38, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

Yes, I gave this lady information that will help her grow her Avon business.  By doing this, it made me feel happy to help her, even though she is truly my competition.

Am I worried about how she'll do?  Not really.

I feel that God led me to help her be able to create a business for herself that will help her in many ways.  I wanted to help her.

After thinking about the Bible verse for today, I recalled that God not only gave me the ability and knowledge about how to grow a new business, but He will continue to help me expand my Avon business.  At least, until I am able to return to being a realtor.

I praise You, Lord... for helping me... for providing for me... in so many ways.  I pray that He will now help that lovely lady I met, Tuesday evening.

I feel blessed.

Especially, since I know how to grow businesses.  Like the one I'm doing at this time.  As well as the ones I've done, in the past.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
