If you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, you'll be aware that I said that SONday was a very busy day for me.
After the 6:00 a.m. Sunrise Resurrection/Easter Sunday worship service, it was still dark outside. Seeing this, actually made me silently chuckle. :) Even so, it was a wonderful service.
It was at that time that we went to our fellowship room, to spend time together.
We enjoyed breakfast, actually! While the food was delicious, I must say I truly enjoyed the fellowship time with my church family. Especially, since it was the first time I had ever done this.
During our breakfast fellowship time, the sun rose! Hallelujah! I'm glad it happened during time spent with my church family.
Clean up happened earlier than I expected.
My first thoughts about the schedule for Resurrection/Easter Sunday, was that we'd spend all morning together. But, this didn't happen.
In fact, like many others, I went home!
At home, I was able to take the time to contact friends and family. Those who I wasn't able to talk with like I had the day before.
For this, I thanked God! Especially, since I actually had time to lay down and rest for about 15 minutes, before heading back to be with my church family.
Upon returning, I spent time with our Bible study/Adult Sunday school class.
To some people, it's not important to ready/study the Bible. But, to me, this is very important.
After all, we truly need to know and understand God's Word, so that we can know truth.
Much like we read, in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Without knowing/understanding God's Word, the Bible... then, people can be led astray from what God would have them do.
By reading/studying the Bible, those like me, can then hear people speak about God and the Bible, and know whether or not the preaching teaching, is legitimate... or false.
To me, it is very important that people can avoid having false teaching. If they accept false teaching/preaching, then they ware truly led astray.
And, may stand before Christ in the Day of Judgement, and hear Him say... get away from me; I never knew you.
My friend, take it upon yourself to read the Bible.
Not only will I be happy for you, but God will bless you!
Until next time...
