All...

As you are probably aware, the other day I discussed here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) the fact that I left church last Sunday, as our worship service had just begun.  If you don't understand and want to know why, you may want to read this LwL entry: http://www.lifewithlynnie.com/2015/03/praise-god.html.

As I mentioned on that entry, when some music played and we began to sing along, I became overwhelmed.

Please understand, I am only human.  I am not a god of any kind.  So, becoming overwhelmed was to me, just a form of human grief.  And, love.

The music that affected me, is some that I have posted in the past, here on LwL.  Since it has been about a couple of years ago, I decided to repost the a music link and lyrics, again.

This is a recording by Hillsong and is entitled, Amazing Love (You Are My King).  Here is a link for you to listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avJ4lDnZWRU.  The lyrics are below.

Amazing Love (You Are My King)

I'm forgiven because you were forsaken
I'm accepted, You were condemned
I'm alive and well
Your spirit is within me
Because you died and rose again

I'm forgiven because you were forsaken
I'm accepted, you were condemned
I'm alive and well
Your spirit is within me
Because you died and rose again

Amazing love how can it be
That you, my King would die for me
Amazing love, I know its true
It's my joy to honor you
In all I do I honor you

I'm forgiven because you were forsaken
I'm accepted, you were condemned
I'm alive and well
Your spirit is within me
Because you died and rose again

Amazing love how can it be
That you, my King would die for me
Amazing love, I know its true
It's my joy to honor you
In all I do I honor you

You are my King
You are my King
Jesus, You are my King
Jesus, You are my King

Amazing love, how can it be?
That you, my king, would die for me
Amazing love, I know it's true
Its my joy to honor you

Amazing love, how can it be?
That you, my King would die for me
Amazing love I know it's true
Its my joy to honor you
In all I do I honor you
In all I do honor you

Yes, Gordon loved this song.  But, he wasn't alone, in that thinking.

I also love this song.  And, on a normal day, I enjoy singing it.

But, knowing it was the day of what would have been our wedding anniversary, I just felt pain.  Pain within me, and within my heart.

How grateful I was for God's mercy.  For, He helped me.

He lifted me up, and reminded me that I was able to deal with that pain and sorrow.  Even if it did feel overwhelming, for a short period of time.

He gave me strength.

Just as we read, in Philippians 4:13, " I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Thank You, Lord... for lifting me up.  Thank You, for encouraging me.

And, thank You Lord, for reminding me that You strengthen me.  Always.

For this, I will always be thankful.

Until next time...
