A Gift!

In yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, my great-granddaughter's mom received her 15 minutes of fame.  After all, I shared the YouTube video she made of herself not just singing, but also playing the guitar!

While I didn't truly have 15 minutes of fame myself, I must say that I received a reward last evening.

The reward I received was a delicious dinner.  In a beautiful setting.  With many other women and men, who were being honoured.

Who were we honoured by?  Avon.

As I've mentioned in the past, I am not yet strong enough to go back to work at my real estate job.  Selling real estate is complicated in some ways.

Of course, I could do computer work and much more other work, but I cannot yet lift sign frames.  Although I can walk up and down some stairs, it would be impossible for me to be able to climb up and down multiple staircases.

About the end of June last year, a friend asked me to sign up to sell Avon.  Just as I mentioned previously.

I did.  At first, I thought I would only do this to help her.  And, even mentioned I didn't think I would try selling Avon.

But, after praying and giving it more thought, I decided to do it.

Believe it or not, last year I made President Club Status.  All within five (5) months.

Last evening was the celebration for those of us who did well selling Avon, in 2014.  At least, those in our area districts.

I truly feel God blessed me.

After all, I had been so very weak.  Especially at the time when I signed up to sell Avon.

It was like God blessed me with a gift.  A gift of strength.  And, knowledge about how to work this job.

Much like we read, in James 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

God provided for me.

He gave me strength to do what I needed to do.  And, encouragement.

I am so thankful that He gave me a delivery man, who always carries into my apartment, those boxes that would be too heavy for me to handle.  And, places them for me, so I can open them and proceed with dealing with the orders, without hurting myself.

Plus, He has provided for me, by supplying me with customers who enjoy Avon products.

Yes, God gave truly gave me a gift.  He provided for me, in so many ways.

For this, I am truly grateful.  Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
