Only Time...

From time to time, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discuss music.  Today, will be one of those days.

A Facebook (FB) friend shared a link to a song that touched my heart.  It is a song that I had heard in the past, but never truly focused on.  At least, until the other day.

The song is by Enya and is entitled, Only Time.  Here is a link for you to listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upkYQqbrjSc.  Like normal, the lyrics are below.

Only Time

Who can say where the road goes
Where the day flows, only time
And who can say if your love grows
As your heart chose, only time

Who can say why your heart sighs
As your love flies, only time
And who can say why your heart cries
When your love lies, only time

Who can say when the roads meet
That love might be in your heart
And who can say when the day sleeps
If the night keeps all your heart
Night keeps all your heart

Who can say if your love grows
As your heart chose
- Only time
And who can say where the road goes
Where the day flows, only time

Who knows? Only time

Who knows? Only time

While this is not truly a Christian song, it does have heartfelt feelings to me.

After all, we do not know the plans God has for us.

We do not know what will happen in our lives.  Nor, will we know if there will ever be love for us.

Only God knows.  So, while time seems to be in our hands, it is truly in God's hands.

Thinking of this, reminded me of Psalm 31:15, "My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me."

Knowing that my times are in His hands, I pray always that He will deliver me from mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.  Just as today's verse talks about.

And, provide me with love.

After all, I have had a rather loveless life.  A life filled with trials.  Many of which no one would ever want to go through.  Some even without love.

I keep praying that God will deliver me from the feeling of being alone, in this world.

Yes, I realize He is with me, always.  I realize He will never leave me, nor forsake me.  And, will be with me even 'til the end of the age.

However, I am not God.  I am only human.

Although I trust in Him, there have not been many times in my life where I have felt loved.  Not even, by some people that I believe should love me, since I love them.

So, I have no idea if and when God's plan includes a relationship to me, that will help me feel loved, here on earth.

But, He knows His plan.  And, everything is always done in time.

His time.

Until next time...
