In yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I mentioned how I enjoyed fellowship time with some of my church family, on Saturday evening.
I should have mentioned, that in addition to all of us women attending, so did our pastor. :)
Knowing that it was a women's comedy night, and knowing he wasn't female, sort of made him feel he needed to stay outside the area where we women spent time. He did this. But, only for a while.
During the presentation time, pastor Tom was not seated with us. Instead, he stayed at the back of the fellowship room, where the kitchen is located.
Afterwards, he joined us, though.
This made me happy. This meant that my friends could speak with him.
Of course, together, we also enjoyed some delicious snack items, too! :)
Yes, this was a truly fun evening for me. I felt blessed.
Especially, since I am getting stronger after being through that extremely dangerous surgery close to a year ago.
This brought to mind, Psalm 29:11, "The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace."
Just as I mentioned, I am getting stronger.
No, I am not yet fully healed.
I still cannot lift a gallon container of water. Nor, can I go up and down, multiple flights of stairs, yet.
But, I am getting stronger. And, am able to do much more, than I have been able to do for a very long time.
Knowing that I am improving health-wise, I feel blessed. Peacefully, blessed.
For this, I will always be thankful! Hallelujah!
Until next time...
