In the day before yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I mentioned that a childhood friend was in hospital, after having had surgery.
I should let you know that this friend doesn't like being spoken about, so I won't give any information as to who this is. Whether the person is male or female, won't matter to you. So, please just accept how I am writing, today.
This childhood friend and I haven't seen each other in many years.
Every once in a while we will have contact with each other. But, not on a regular basis.
However, I must say that I hadn't seen any confirmations of this person being on Facebook (FB), for quite a while.
At first, I thought this person may be on vacation. Then, I wondered if this person wasn't well.
It is for this reason I began to pray.
God helped me. He led me to believe that possibly this person wasn't well, by placing it on my heart and mind.
Yes, this is something the Holy spirit can do.
Just as we read, in John 16:13, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."
The Holy Spirit guides us. And, speaks to us, in various ways. He sometimes shows us things to come. Just as we read, today.
In the past, I can recall shopping one time. God placed it on my heart to purchase extra of an item I thought about buying.
At first, I thought... no. I'm not going to do that. Why? What for?
Then, the Holy Spirit led me to do it, telling me to proceed.
I did. And later, while beginning to prepare dinner for my now deceased husband and myself, our phone rang.
A couple we knew said they were outside our door. And, we hadn't heard them knocking.
Upon them entering, I went back to cooking dinner for us.
Believe me, when I say that I was thankful He had led me to do what I had no intention of doing. For, it provided dinner for all of us.
Going back to thinking about my childhood friend, I must say that I was thankful the Holy Spirit led me to not just pray for this friend, but also to contact this person.
That's when it was confirmed to me that the Spirit had led me. In truth.
For this I am truly thankful.
Thank You, Lord, for always providing for me. And, for others who belong to You.
Do you belong to God? Have you received salvation, by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ?
If not, you won't be blessed for eternity, after your body dies here on earth. You'll instead, be in Hell, with no chance of escape.
So dear reader and friend, if you want to be blessed by spending eternity in Heaven with God, come to Christ, today.
We aren't guaranteed tomorrow. We aren't guaranteed even our next breath. So, do it. Today.
Until next time...
