To Love Somebody...

From time to time, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discuss music.  And, not just on SONdays, even though I do, then.

On Tuesday evening, I watched a music programme, on television (TV).  It's called... The Voice.

I must admit, there are a number of people who have participated on that TV show, who have wonderful voices.

I also must admit, that I wish there had been a programme like that, when I was younger.  For, if there had been, I might have participated!

But, it's too late, now.  They truly only want younger people.

Even so, there was a song sung that I have always enjoyed.  And, found myself singing over and over, again.

It's by the Bee Gees and is entitled, To Love Somebody.  Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZ4De_RieBM.  The lyrics are below.

To Love Somebody

There's a light
A certain kind of light
That never shone on me
I want my life to be lived with you
Lived with you
There's a way everybody says
To do each and every little thing
But what good does it bring
If I ain't got you, ain't got you?

Baby, you don't know what it's like,
Baby, you don't know what it's like
To love somebody
To love somebody
The way I love you.

In my brain
I see your face again
I know my frame of mind
You ain't got to be so blind
And I'm blind, so so very blind
I'm a man,

Can't you see what I am
I live and I breathe for you
But what good does it do
If I ain't got you, ain't got you?

Baby, you don't know what it's like,

Baby, you don't know what it's like
To love somebody
To love somebody
The way I love you.
Hearing this song, truly touched my heart.

Being alone, being a widow, there are times when I feel so unloved, here on earth.  Because, I truly am.  At least, in a human way.

Not having someone to love, is at times, difficult.  But, there's one person I am truly grateful to have in my life.

My Lord, Jesus Christ.

After all, Jesus loves me.

Just as we read, in Isaiah 41:13, "For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee."

Yes, I am loved by my Lord.

He holds my right hand, and says to me regularly to fear not... for He will help me.  And, He does.

He helps me each and every day.  In so many ways.

For this, I will always be thankful.  Thankful to Him, for loving me.

Me.

A sinner.

A sinner, saved by grace (alone), through faith (alone), in Christ (alone).

My friend, if you are not yet saved by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, I know that you will suffer.  Big time.  For eternity.  Forever.

But, by gaining salvation through Jesus, and through Him alone, you will truly be blessed.

Until next time...
