The Blood...

Hopefully, when I say here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) that I'll be going to meet with my church family today, I'll actually be able to do so.  Unlike what happened last week, due to excessive snow.

After not being able to attend Bible study, and not being able to worship with my church family last week, I must admit, I felt badly that I wasn't able to do this.

However, there was nothing I could do about it.  So, I just worshipped at home.

Music is such a big part of worship, for me.

A song that came to mind, that I've sung during worship time.  However, I have no idea who wrote it.  The title is, O The Blood Of Jesus.  Here is a link so you can listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8hrOhHnxxY.  (Please know that the lyrics are in both English and in Hebrew on this recording.)

O The Blood Of Jesus

Oh the blood of Jesus
Oh the blood of Jesus
Oh the blood of Jesus
It washes white as snow

Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
K'sheleg malbeen

Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
K'sheleg malbeen

Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
K'sheleg malbeen (gets sung at the same time as in English)

Oh the blood of Jesus
Oh the blood of Jesus
Oh the blood of Jesus
It washes white as snow

K'sheleg malbeen

It washes white as snow

N.B.  There is another verse that has been sung during worship, yet was not sung/recorded here.  In English only, here it is:

O the cross of Jesus
O the cross of Jesus
O the cross of Jesus
His death brings life to me

Whenever I think of these lyrics, I think about how the blood of Jesus is so very important.  To me.  To you.  And, to every single person in this world.

Since atonement was done during Old Testament times, by the shedding of blood, blood was truly very important.

However, Jesus' blood was even of greater importance.  As was His death on the cross.

Just as we read in Hebrews 10:19-20, "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;"

Yes, by the shedding of Jesus' blood, those who trust in/believe upon Him, receive a new life.  A new living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the use of His flesh, and through His... Jesus' blood, just as we read in today's verses.

Are you trusting in/believing upon Jesus?

Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus?

My friend, if you don't yet, please... come to Him, today.  Tomorrow, may be too late.

Until next time...
