Love Is...

Less than a week ago, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discussed about how I sang at Zehrs grocery store, in LaSalle, last Friday.

When I let you know about what happened that day, I also let you know that I would tell you about what I sang.  I thought today would be a good time to do that.

One of the reasons I sang what I did, was because I had been asked to sing about love.

After all, this was the weekend of love, with Valentine's Day, being only a few hours away.

So, I'm letting you know that the first song I sang was written by Sammy Fain and Paul Francis Webster, and is sung by Andy Williams.  It's entitled, Love Is A Many Splendored Thing.  Here is a link so you can listen and/or sing along:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpD--9S1kiI.  The lyrics are below.

Love Is A Many Splendored Thing

Love is a many splendored thing
It's the April rose
That only grows in the early spring
Love is nature's way of giving
A reason to be living
The golden crown that makes a man a king

Once on a high and windy hill
In the morning mist
Two lovers kissed
And the world stood still
Then your fingers touched
My silent heart and taught it how to sing
Yes, true love's
A many splendored thing

Once on a high and windy hill
In the morning mist
Two lovers kissed
And the world stood still
Then your fingers touched
My silent heart and taught it how to sing
Yes, true love's
A many splendored thing

Yes, true love, is a many splendored thing.  It truly is.

Anyone who has experienced true love in their life, knows this.

Some people haven't experienced the reality of true love as a human.  Even so, many have experienced true love, from God.

As you read, the lyrics to this love song talks about how fingers touched my silent heart and taught it how to sing.  Reading this, I am truly reminded about how God loves us.

After all, He touches our heart.  Meaning, we His children's hearts.  And, leads us... to Him.

Thinking of this, reminded me of Romans 8:14, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

What a blessing it is to be a child of God!

What a blessing it is to be loved by Him!

What a blessing it is to be led by the Spirit of God!  Even on a daily basis.

If you are not yet a child of God, please come to Christ, today.  Tomorrow, may be too late.

Until next time...
