Happy G. D.?!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I try to discuss issues that affect our lives.  Today, will be one of those days!

After all, yesterday was February 2nd.  Groundhog Day!

A friend sent me a link to a song on YouTube by Tom T. Hall entitled, Happy Groundhog Day.  Here is the link, so you can listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHssFj7Ms4c.

Online, I read an article by The Washington Post entitled, Groundhog Day 2015:  Punxsutawney Phil sees shadow, predicts six more weeks of winter.  Here is the link, so you can read about it:  http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/wp/2015/02/02/groundhog-day-2015-punxsutawney-phil-sees-shadow-predicts-six-more-weeks-of-winter/.  Hopefully, you enjoyed it!

Six more weeks of winter!

I'm not sure if I should be happy, or sad.  Not just for myself, but for you also!

Especially, since Shubenacadie Sam, from the province of Nova Scotia, Canada, also saw his shadow, thereby predicting six (6) more weeks of winter.

Of course, Punxsutawney Phil is a groundhog from the state of Pennsylvania, USA.  While Wiarton Willie is from Ontario, Canada.  The province I live in!

Here is what happened with Wiarton Willie, as per cnews.canoe.ca:  http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2015/02/02/22214131.html If you read this article, you'd know that Wiarton Willie predicted that we would have an early spring, since he didn't see his shadow!

Well, I suppose I should add that the response from Wiarton Willie, was also had by Winnipeg Willow, from the province of Alberta, Canada.  This means that it was predicted for an early spring, there, also.

Some people think this is all fun and games.

In some ways, it has been.  I'm sure you'd agree if you watched any of the videos included on those links.  :)

However, I do believe that in each area, weather may happen differently.  Much like what has happened, lately.

Yes, we've had a terrible snow storm this weekend, here in the Windsor, Ontario area.  Much like throughout much of the mid-west in USA, and throughout most of Ontario, here in Canada.

However, in the past, we in Windsor have been told we would be hit hard by storms.  And yet, they have past by, avoiding us.

Ultimately, God is omniscient.  He knows everything.

Why wouldn't He?!

After all, He created heaven and earth.

Just as we read in the beginning of the Bible, Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

Yes, God created the heaven and the earth.  And, everything in it.

God is truly the only person who knows everything that will happen in it, and to it.  For He knows the end, from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10).

So, as His child, I will continue to just trust in Him.  For everything in my life.

Even so, I must admit, it was rather encouraging to be cheerfully told that here in the province of Ontario, we were told that we will have an early spring, on Groundhog Day 2015!

No matter what, I pray that God's will is done.  For, it always shall be.

Until next time...
