Eateth! & Prayer Request...

Yesterday, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I mentioned that I would be going to Bible study, and to worship with my church family.

I must admit, I felt rather badly that I wasn't able to do so, last week.

Even so, when I spent time with my church family, I found out I wasn't the only person who didn't attend, when we had that awful weather.  Apparently, many others didn't either.

In addition, our pastor and his wife weren't there.  They were away on vacation.  On a cruise.

Unfortunately, I found out yesterday, along with my other church family members, that our pastor's wife, L was ill during the whole cruise time.  :(

And, L is still not well.  So, please... if you can find it in your heart to pray for her, please do so.  Thank you!  May God bless you...

When I missed that first SONday of the month, I felt badly thinking I missed out on having communion.  But, I didn't.  Miss out, I mean!

You see, instead of celebrating communion on the first Lord's Day of the month, we had it, yesterday!

For this, I praised God!  Hallelujah!

I must admit, that I felt blessed.  Totally, blessed.

After all, Jesus made it clear that when we celebrate communion, we are celebrating Him, and our eternal life.

Just as we read, in John 6:53-58, "Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever."

I praise God for giving us a way of salvation.  I praise Jesus, for fulfilling God the Father's plan of salvation, that allowed for us to be saved!

And, I praise Him for providing us with a way of honouring Him.

For this, I'll always be thankful.  And, will always participate.

Until next time...
