I can't recall if I mentioned, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), that I've been doing something that I have been using as exercise. Line dancing.
As I've mentioned in the past, there are times when I've gone to one of our local legion locations, to meet up with friends of mine. My friend L, is a fellow realtor, she and her boyfriend like to attend there, because they enjoy dancing.
I began going there from time to time, just to have a break from being alone at home.
I must admit, I enjoy watching them, and many, many, many other couples dance. Especially, since most of them have taken dancing lessons!
As for me, well I do not have anyone to dance with, so I have not done any dancing the way couples do.
However, one of the wonderful dancers I have seen there, also teaches a form of dancing. Line dancing.
When I was first told this, I spoke with her. She confirmed that she teaches line dancing at a South Windsor Presbyterian Church, called Paulin Memorial.
She also let me know that I was welcome to attend.
I thanked her and went in the fall for the first time. However, as you are probably aware, I had hurt myself by lifting too much, and actually caused myself to have a twisted vertebrae again, as I had many of in the past. So, I didn't go for a couple of months.
However, over the past few weeks, I've actually attended the line dancing lessons, again.
Not only do I thank my teacher, and her substitute who taught us yesterday, since she's away on vacation. But, I also greatly thank God.
I thank Him for helping me. And, for providing for me to have some form of exercise that I can do.
Even if it truly wears me out! lol
It is fun. It is definitely helping me become stronger, for I am not suffering afterwards for as long as in the beginning.
In my heart, I believe God provided this, not just to help me, a single person, be able to have some fun with friends from time to time. I also believe He provided this for me, so I would have a way of gaining strength.
After all, God provides for us, who belong to Him. Especially, when we ask Him to.
Just as He told us, in Matthew 7:11, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"
I praise Him and thank Him for wanting to provide for me. Just as I asked Him to.
God knew what I needed.
He knew I still am not able to lift much. He knew that I am unable to work out in a gym.
He knew I needed some sort of exercise to help build some physical strength in me.
After praying to Him, He answered my prayer. And, provided for me.
I truly feel blessed.
Thank You, dear God! I know I could not do this, without You.
Until next time...
