In yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I discussed what I did with my church family, on our Lord's Day. SONday.
Today, I thought it would be good to let you know about what I did on Saturday evening.
I went to Tim Hortons (Timmy's) on Tecumseh Rd. E. (between Red Lobster restaurant and Joseph's Market), in Windsor, ON, Canada. I arrived about 6:45 p.m.
Before I arrived there, I prayed that God would provide an area at the back, where a large group of us Christian Singles, could spend time together, if in fact, many people showed up.
As I drove past that part of the building, I saw people sitting in that area. I said to our Lord, 'Oh well. It's Your will that is done. Not mine.', thinking that those men I saw sitting in that area would be there for a while.
However, after I parked my van, and walked into Timmy's, each and every one of those men got up and left. Not just that area where I hoped to be able to sit, but also in that whole part of the coffee shop!
Silently, I praised God! And, thanked Jesus!
Being unsure of how many people would arrive, I made sure there were several tables put together into a line of them, so that if we had several people show up, we'd all be seated, together.
Thinking about how God supplied my need, and the need of the group of people meeting there, made me think about how we need to not wonder what we need. God already knows.
Just as we read, in Matthew 6:31-32, "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things."
There is no need for us to wonder about things, just as we read in today's verses.
God knows everything about us. He knows our every need.
And, He supplies for all us who belong to Him, our every need.
Do you belong to God? Are you His child?
Are you saved?
If so, you are truly blessed. For He will always take care of every need you have.
If not, you need to come to Christ.
You need to trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, so that you will gain salvation. And, come to know and be thankful to Him, for everything He will do for you.
Come to Christ, today. You'll be glad you did!
By the way, just so you know, instead of having only one (1) person show up, like last month at the old location, we had a few more. A handful!
Praise God! Hallelujah!
Until next time...
