From time to time, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discuss events I attend. Today, will be one of those days!
Last Saturday, I attended a fund-raiser at a local church. Not where I worship, but where some friends of mine worship.
A Facebook (FB) friend of mine, D invited me. He's the same person who invited me to sing at the Zehrs store in LaSalle, the day before Valentine's Day.
Even though I don't worship where D does, I have been there a few times.
As I said, I know a few people who worship there, including one of the owners of a store called, From the Heart, here in Windsor. A store, that actually sells copies of the book I wrote entitled, Love Never Fails You...
Here's a link for you to click on, to find out information about the store: http://www.fromtheheartwithlove.com/.
I had been asked to bring copies of Love Never Fails You... to the church event, because the fund-raiser was for a young woman, who is raising funds to go on a missions trip. And, the focus of the event was... love.
To be honest, I felt rather encouraged being asked to participate in the event. And, thanked God for it.
The event itself was a good one. And, featured some special people.
Here's a list of some people who participated:
* Sarah Dalton. Sarah is a wonderful singer/songwriter. Here's a link for you to find out about her: http://www.reverbnation.com/sarahdalton.
* Trey Hill. Trey is a good singer/rapper. Check him out on Facebook!
* Marcus Anthony Lehr. Another good singer/rapper. Check him out on Twitter, Facebook, and other places!
* Chellzzz... who is a Christian rap artist. Check him out here: http://www.chellzmusic.com/#!page2/cjg9.
The fund-raiser was good. I'm sure it could have been better, had there been more people in attendance.
However, it happened and was a very positive event. Praise God!
Instead of donating a portion of the sales of copies of my book, Love Never Fails You... I donated the whole entire amount collected. Meaning, that I not only did not make anything financially for myself, but also virtually donated each copy sold.
I did this, to show love, and commitment.
Not just for this fund-raiser. But, also for this was a case where people were wanting to do work for God. Just as He requires of us.
Just as we read, in 1 Peter 4:8, "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins."
Charity is a versatile word.
It can mean giving help, sometimes in the form of money. Just as I did that evening.
However, it also means love, when referring to it, in the Bible.
As we read, we need to have fervent love among ourselves. Meaning... among fellow Christians.
Love shall cover a multitude of sins. Just as we read, in today's Bible verse.
Jesus' love for us, covers a multitude of sin, for each of us who trust in/believe upon Him. After all, His blood covers our sin, so that God cannot see our sin.
If our sin is not covered by the blood of Jesus, then God cannot look upon us. For He cannot look upon sin, at all.
Is your sin covered by Jesus' blood?
Are you trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, for your salvation?
If you are saying... no, then you will spend eternity in Hell, separated from God. With no chance of escape.
If you are saying... yes, then I will look forward to seeing you one day, in Heaven!
Until next time...

Shine a Light...
In yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I discussed a song I adore. It was... To Love Somebody, by the Bee Gees.
If you know the song, or if you read yesterday's LwL entry, where the lyrics are posted, you'll be aware that it is said that there's a light, a certain kind of light, that never shone on me.
And, if you read through the entire LwL entry, you'll know that my Lord's light has shone upon me. In many ways. Just as I wrote about.
Even so, thinking about light shining, brought to mind a Youtube video entitled, Shine a Light on Spondylitis Awareness - April, 2012.
Originally, there was a link that would bring you directly to it. However, for some reason, it doesn't seem to be working, for me.
So, here is a link to Spondylitis Association of America's page, where there is a link to that video: http://www.spondylitis.org/press/news/550-spondylitis-awareness.aspx.
All you have to do, is scroll down the page, and click on the link entitled, The Shine a Light on Spondylitis project. It opened then, for me. And, will probably do so, for you.
That video was actually made for 2012, as you read earlier. However, that doesn't mean that the Spondylitis video was only good for that time.
It's good for now, too. And, probably will be... forever. At least while we are still here on earth, alive.
Of course, as most people who belong to Him realize, once we leave this earth, and go to Heaven, there will be no more pain or suffering.
Just as we read, in Revelation 21:4, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
Yes, the sufferings of our present time, will be gone, once we who are God's children, leave this earth, upon our physical, human death.
He shall wipe away all tears. There shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor any more pain. For the former things are passed away.
For this, I will always be thankful. Especially, knowing that one day, my life here on earth will end.
And, because I am trusting in/believing upon my Lord, Jesus Christ, I will experience all we read here, today.
Will you?
Are you a child of God?
You may be a child of God's creation. However, are you a child of God, who has gained salvation? Been saved?
If so, you'll experience that, also. And, I'll see you one day, in Heaven.
However, if you have not yet gained salvation, you may lose out. And, suffer for eternity. Forever.
All I can say to you, is... come to Christ, today. Have a loving relationship with Him.
And, let His light shine upon you.
Then, you will be saved, and will be rewarded with eternal life.
Until next time...

To Love Somebody...
From time to time, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discuss music. And, not just on SONdays, even though I do, then.
On Tuesday evening, I watched a music programme, on television (TV). It's called... The Voice.
I must admit, there are a number of people who have participated on that TV show, who have wonderful voices.
I also must admit, that I wish there had been a programme like that, when I was younger. For, if there had been, I might have participated!
But, it's too late, now. They truly only want younger people.
Even so, there was a song sung that I have always enjoyed. And, found myself singing over and over, again.
It's by the Bee Gees and is entitled, To Love Somebody. Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZ4De_RieBM. The lyrics are below.
To Love Somebody
There's a light
A certain kind of light
That never shone on me
I want my life to be lived with you
Lived with you
There's a way everybody says
To do each and every little thing
But what good does it bring
If I ain't got you, ain't got you?
Baby, you don't know what it's like,
Baby, you don't know what it's like
To love somebody
To love somebody
The way I love you.
In my brain
I see your face again
I know my frame of mind
You ain't got to be so blind
And I'm blind, so so very blind
I'm a man,
Can't you see what I am
I live and I breathe for you
But what good does it do
If I ain't got you, ain't got you?
Baby, you don't know what it's like,
Baby, you don't know what it's like
To love somebody
To love somebody
The way I love you.
Hearing this song, truly touched my heart.
Being alone, being a widow, there are times when I feel so unloved, here on earth. Because, I truly am. At least, in a human way.
Not having someone to love, is at times, difficult. But, there's one person I am truly grateful to have in my life.
My Lord, Jesus Christ.
After all, Jesus loves me.
Just as we read, in Isaiah 41:13, "For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee."
Yes, I am loved by my Lord.
He holds my right hand, and says to me regularly to fear not... for He will help me. And, He does.
He helps me each and every day. In so many ways.
For this, I will always be thankful. Thankful to Him, for loving me.
Me.
A sinner.
A sinner, saved by grace (alone), through faith (alone), in Christ (alone).
My friend, if you are not yet saved by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, I know that you will suffer. Big time. For eternity. Forever.
But, by gaining salvation through Jesus, and through Him alone, you will truly be blessed.
Until next time...

Can You Imagine?
Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I'd like to wish my grandson N, a very Happy Birthday! If you were still here in town, I'd be so happy to see you, and celebrate your birthday. However, that's not possible. Even so, just know that I'm praying for you and wishing you again, Happy Birthday! I love you! xoxo
If you read yesterday's LwL entry, you'll know that I mentioned about how a mom was arrested. All because her son left the place they lived, and was found outside, and undressed.
She may or may not deserve being charged by the police. Truly, at this time... only God knows.
However, thinking about this made me recall something terrible happening to a woman I met, years ago. Just after I began living here, in Windsor.
R had also lived in Brampton for a while, before she returned to Windsor, where she was originally from. Unlike me, R lived in Brampton, in a different way.
She had lived in prison.
When R first told me about how she had been arrested, I felt badly for her. Especially, since she had been charged after her infant daughter had died. Died, in her crib. At home.
As a result, her other daughter lived with relatives. Not with her mom.
R's life with filled with suffering.
Especially, after it was found out that a doctor who had made sure many mom's had been arrested and convicted of not taking proper care of their children, had made a mistake. Or, had lied.
Only God knows for sure.
No matter what the case, the truth is that in that era, there had been many moms, who had experienced Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). And, paid consequences, even though they did not do anything to deserve it.
Here's a link so you can read about SIDS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudden_infant_death_syndrome
Can you imagine, how some of those moms suffered?
Can you imagine, having your infant lose their life. And, then paying the price, even though it was undeserved?
Talk about suffering...
I must say that I thank God for being there for every person on this earth.
I thank Him, for letting us know that the sufferings we sometimes experience here on earth, are horrible. And, very different than what shall happen, once we go to Heaven, with Him.
Thinking of this, reminded me, of Romans 8:18, "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."
Yes, we may suffer here on earth.
Maybe not like some moms do or have done. But, in many ways.
The wonderful thing is, that none of the sufferings of this world, are worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us.
Glory? Revealed? In us?
How does this happen?
It will only happen, if we have come to Christ. And, gained salvation, by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.
So, if you have not yet come to Christ to gain salvation, I would suggest you do so.
Don't wait. It may be too late.
Until next time...

Wisdom? Power!
Today, on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be discussing something that was on the news.
There was a couple of things that happened recently in Toronto, that have been on the newscasts, over and over again. Both, had to do with young boys.
Here is a link to an article thestar.com posted entitled, 3-year-old Toronto boy dies after hours outside in frigid temperatures: http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2015/02/19/toronto-police-searching-for-missing-3-year-old-boy.html.
If you read this article, you'll be aware that this 3 year-old boy made his way out of the building where he lived. And, later... died.
The very next day, another child was found wandering on a Toronto street. Read the article posted by The Globe and Mail entitled, As Elijah's family grieves, another child found wandering on Toronto street: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/toronto/campaign-raises-funeral-fund-for-toronto-boy-who-died-after-freezing-outside/article23112334/.
How awful it is that this happened to young children. Don't you agree?
However, there is something I must say.
This actually happened to me and my husband, when my eldest daughter B, was about three (3) years old. Yes, I'm telling the truth.
It did. Are you shocked?
When it happened to us, we were shocked. Believe me! We were!
It happened on a weekend in the winter. There was lots of snow outside.
Our phone rang, before 8:00 a.m.
It was a neighbour. We were told that B showed up at their door, knocking. She wanted to play with their child, who was still asleep.
Apparently, B didn't care that we were asleep.
She put her boots on, but couldn't reach her coat and winter scarf, etc. B somehow opened our front door that was always locked.
Outside she went. As I said earlier, she walked a few doors up and across the street.
At the time, I was thankful she was okay.
However, I was also angry with her, that she did this. After all, if she hadn't been able to be found by my neighbour, she may have died from the cold. Just like Elijah did.
Knowing that Elijah left his building in the middle of the night, tells me that his relatives were truly not responsible for what happened. After all, who can ever be responsible for something someone does, while all family members are asleep.
From what I've heard, they have not been charged for any crime. For this, I praise God.
However, the mom of the four (4) year old, who left his home during the day, has been charged by the police, with abandoning her child.
I realize a lot of people think the mom was at fault. Maybe so. Maybe not.
Since the boy's mom wasn't home, it made me wonder.
Where was she? And, who was supposed to be looking after this young child? Was it her? Or, had he been left with someone who was supposed to be taking care of him?
Please know that at the time I wrote this entry, no information was available. Nothing on the news has given answers to what I just quoted as my questions.
Hopefully, the mom wasn't at fault. If this is the case, then hopefully... charges against her will be dropped.
It seems that at this time, only God knows the truth. After all, God alone has all the power, concerning our lives. So, we should have faith in Him... and not in men.
Just as we read, in 1 Corinthians 2:5, "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."
We should not put our faith in mankind, just as we've read, today. We need to have our faith in the power of God.
For God alone, is in control... of everything in our lives. Of everything that happens to us.
No. I'm not saying that He made these problems in life happen. But yes, He knows and has ordained to allow us to go through whatever has been created.
Either through our own errors in life, or through Satan, the father of this world we live in.
Ultimately, God will provide for us, who are His children. So, believe me, I'm praying for all involved in these circumstances that have created such heart-breaking situations.
If they are not His children, they need to come to Christ. No different than you, or I.
For the only thing we know for sure that we can count on, is the fact that God loves His children. Not just those He created. But rather, meaning those who have gained salvation.
Are you saved?
Are you trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ?
If not, come to Him, today. If you don't, you'll spend eternity in Hell, separated from God, with no chance of escape.
If you are saved, I'll see you one day, in Heaven.

Continuous...
On Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, I mentioned I was going to be with my church family, once again.
After less than a handful of hours sleep, I got up and got ready. Even though I got to the Bible study class a few minutes late, I was glad to be there in time for the majority of the lesson to be taught.
Praise God!
As our worship service began, a friend of mine, C arrived with her daughter. She also brought a friend of hers, S.
This made me truly happy!
I must admit, my pastor Tom is a very good preacher/teacher. I truly enjoyed his sermon. And, I believe our guests did, also.
Afterwards, we shared our pot-luck luncheon, with all of our guests, of which we had many!
Before S left to go home, I found out that she needs prayer. Prayer, for healing. Total, restorative healing.
Just so you know, I actually know many people who need prayer.
Some for healing. Some for problems in life. Family. And, other things.
In some ways, it is difficult to know what to pray for. But, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us.
Just as we read, in Romans 8:26, "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
How wonderful it is, that we truly do not need to know what to pray for.
How wonderful it is, that God made a way for us to have help from the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us, with groanings, which cannot be uttered.
For this I praise God! And, thank Him!
Even so, we must stay in a mode of continuous prayer.
My friend, if you can find it in your heart to join me in prayer for each person who needs being prayed for, I believe God will bless you. Thank you.
Until next time...

Family!
Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I would like to say that if my parents were still alive, today would be a special day. Their wedding anniversary. Mom and dad, I miss you... and will always love you.
Once again, here on LwL, I will let you know that I am going to be with my church family, today.
Like most SONday's, I'll be heading early this morning, to attend Bible study class. This happens about an hour earlier than our worship service begins.
How grateful I am that my church family and I worship in spirit and in truth. Of course, I adore using music, also.
A chorus came to mind, that is sometimes sung in churches.
With my church family, I don't recall singing this, but did with another church family. A second (2nd) group where I used to help out, in addition to my normal worshipping church family.
This was sung every week.
This traditional chorus is by Bill and Gloria Gaither and is entitled, The Family of God. Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mz3R7er2mh8. The lyrics are below.
The Family Of God
I'm so glad I'm a part of the Family of God,
I've been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
For I'm part of the family,
The Family of God.
I'm so glad I'm a part of the Family of God,
I've been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
For I'm part of the family,
The Family of God.
I'm so glad I'm a part of the Family of God,
I've been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
For I'm part of the family,
The Family of God.
For I'm part of the family,
The Family of God.
How grateful I am, that I am a member of the family of God.
Just as the lyrics state, I've been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His blood!
God allowed and provided for each of us, who received our Lord, Jesus Christ, to become sons (and/or daughters, even though the Bible states sons, based upon the idea of mankind) of God.
Just as we read, in John 1:12-13, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
Yes, those of us who are children of God were not born of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man. We were born by the will of God. Through spiritual power.
Being born of the spirit gives us salvation, by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.
If you haven't yet come to Christ, then please do so, today. Tomorrow, may be too late.
Until next time...

Yay! Praise God! Hallelujah!
Today, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), there is something I need to say.
Yay! Praise God! Hallelujah!
Hopefully, you'll join me in saying this, once you've read what I will share with you.
On Thursday, I received an e-mail from the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ). Here is what I received (I copied/pasted it here for you):
Lynn,
A tortured and persecuted Christian is now free.
In a case we haven’t been able to tell you about until now, our affiliate in Pakistan has successfully defended a Christian from false charges.
Imtiaz Masih, a Christian man in Pakistan, was abducted and tortured for his faith.
Radical Muslims forced him to confess to a crime he didn’t commit – murder – and turned him over to police.
Christians are often falsely accused of crimes they didn’t commit in Pakistan, a brutal form of persecution.
After four years of aggressive advocacy, our legal team successfully defended Masih and got the charges dropped.
Read Our Report: Christian Acquitted of False Murder Charges.
Like Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani and Christian mom Meriam Ibrahim, Masih is now free because of your support.
Learn more about our work, and take action to defend other persecuted Christians:
Sign Our Petition: Free American Pastor Saeed in Iran.
Sign Our Petition: Free Christian Mom Asia Bibi from Death Row.
Sign Our Petition: Stop the Genocide of Iraq’s Christians.
Jordan Sekulow
ACLJ Executive Director
Reading this truly excited me. And, made me so very thankful!
Thankful, of course... to God. And, thankful to ACLJ and everyone who works for them, in helping getting fellow Christians released from imprisonment, that is not acceptable.
But, also to any of you, who have signed petitions, and done whatever you could to help, including praying for those in need. May God bless each of you!
I praise God for always being there for His children. And, for letting us know that we should not be afraid, for He will help us.
Just as we read, in Isaiah 41:13, "For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee."
Yes, He helps us. He provides for us, and holds our right hand, letting us know we should fear not.
Just as He did for Imtiaz Masih, of Pakistan. Although Imtiaz Masih was held against his will for about four (4) years, God sure provided relief for him. Release, for him. And, comfort for him.
Praise God!
After all, without God's provision, Imtiaz Masih may not have survived being persecuted, and tortured.
This means that Imtiaz Masih was not alone. God was there for him.
Nor, are we ever alone.
We? Meaning, His children.
Are you one of His children?
You may be one of His children of creation... only. And, not one of His children, who have a relationship with His only begotten Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ and who have gained salvation by trusting in/believing upon Jesus.
So, let me ask... who are you?
Hopefully, you are a brother or sister in the Lord, of mine. If not, come to Christ, today.
If you do, you'll be eternally blessed.
Once again, I can only say... Yay! Praise God! Hallelujah! Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...

Spirit Raise Me!
In yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I let you know about the love song I sang at the Zehrs grocery store in LaSalle, a week ago.
While I sang (as you know, if you read yesterdays LwL entry) Love Is A Many Splendored Thing, it wasn't the only song I sang. I sang another song.
The second (2nd) song I sang was written by Rolf Lovland and Brendan Graham. Here is a link so you can listen to and/or sing along, sung by Josh Groban entitled, You Raise Me Up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oni0tO_HN30. The lyrics are below.
You Raise Me Up
When I am down and, oh, my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up to more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up to more than I can be.
(Here are lyrics, not recorded here:
There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.)
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up to more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up to more than I can be.
You raise me up to more than I can be.
This lovely and loving song, I have sung many times in the past. Even at weddings.
Some people think the lyrics are referring to a loved one. Referring to someone who raises them up, and loves them, in a human way.
To that, I agree in some ways. However, whenever I think of this song's lyrics, I think of my Lord, Jesus Christ.
Why?
Because, He raises me up. And will raise you up also, if you are one of God's children.
Just as we read, in Romans 8:11, "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."
His Spirit dwells in us, when we have gained salvation.
How does someone gain salvation?
By trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31).
If you haven't already gained salvation, please... come to Christ today. Jesus is waiting for you. And, God will bless you, with eternal life, spent in heaven, my friend.
Hopefully, one day I'll see you, there!
Until next time...

Love Is...
Less than a week ago, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discussed about how I sang at Zehrs grocery store, in LaSalle, last Friday.
When I let you know about what happened that day, I also let you know that I would tell you about what I sang. I thought today would be a good time to do that.
One of the reasons I sang what I did, was because I had been asked to sing about love.
After all, this was the weekend of love, with Valentine's Day, being only a few hours away.
So, I'm letting you know that the first song I sang was written by Sammy Fain and Paul Francis Webster, and is sung by Andy Williams. It's entitled, Love Is A Many Splendored Thing. Here is a link so you can listen and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpD--9S1kiI. The lyrics are below.
Love Is A Many Splendored Thing
Love is a many splendored thing
It's the April rose
That only grows in the early spring
Love is nature's way of giving
A reason to be living
The golden crown that makes a man a king
Once on a high and windy hill
In the morning mist
Two lovers kissed
And the world stood still
Then your fingers touched
My silent heart and taught it how to sing
Yes, true love's
A many splendored thing
Once on a high and windy hill
In the morning mist
Two lovers kissed
And the world stood still
Then your fingers touched
My silent heart and taught it how to sing
Yes, true love's
A many splendored thing
Yes, true love, is a many splendored thing. It truly is.
Anyone who has experienced true love in their life, knows this.
Some people haven't experienced the reality of true love as a human. Even so, many have experienced true love, from God.
As you read, the lyrics to this love song talks about how fingers touched my silent heart and taught it how to sing. Reading this, I am truly reminded about how God loves us.
After all, He touches our heart. Meaning, we His children's hearts. And, leads us... to Him.
Thinking of this, reminded me of Romans 8:14, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."
What a blessing it is to be a child of God!
What a blessing it is to be loved by Him!
What a blessing it is to be led by the Spirit of God! Even on a daily basis.
If you are not yet a child of God, please come to Christ, today. Tomorrow, may be too late.
Until next time...

Touched My Heart...
A few days ago, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I mentioned that last Friday, I went to my daughter P's, to celebrate her K's birthday.
Like I said, we enjoyed a delicious birthday dinner, together. K enjoyed having his birthday, which was actually the next day, on Valentine's Day, celebrated.
We all enjoyed watching him receive his birthday gifts. Of course, we all enjoyed every bite of K's birthday cake, too!
I'd like to say that while there, we also celebrated Valentine's Day. Like normal, I brought sweet treats for my daughter and each of her family members (including my grandsons, of course!).
The next day, being our true Valentine's Day, I went to my daughter B's to visit with family members, there.
Like I did with P's family, I took sweet treats for each of my family members living there, too.
While there, two (2) of my older grandsons, who both have recently had a baby to increase our family members, both said something to me that was rather shocking. What they said nearly blew me away.
They both looked at me, hugged me. Then, they let me know that they thought I needed to change my life.
I was told that I needed to start going out, in an effort to try and find someone to love me.
Being rather shocked hearing this, I laughed. Then, they became rather serious.
They told me that I was beautiful. That I shouldn't have any problem finding someone to be a mate to me.
Upon hearing that I laughed. And, almost cried.
Me? Beautiful?
I didn't think so.
But, they did.
They insisted that I truly need to do this, to change my life. Apparently, they don't like the fact that I'm alone, with no one to love, and to love me, in return.
Upon hearing this, I at first thought they were teasing me. But, after further discussion, I realized they weren't.
They love me.
Much like we read, in John 13:34, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."
Just as we read in today's verse, we need to love others, in order to fulfill what God commands of us. Loving them, is something I do and feel, always.
I could tell that they were truly loving me.
I must admit, that being loved by my grandsons who spoke to me like that, truly touched my heart. It was all I could do to keep breathing. And, not cry.
Silently, I prayed for both my grandsons, T and J. Even now, I am praying for them. And, am still feeling overwhelmed, knowing that I am truly loved by some of my family members.
For love has been rarely given to me, in my life.
So for this, I praise God. And, am truly thankful.
Until next time...

Embarassment & Praise!
Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I was involved in something that I haven't yet mentioned.
It wasn't something that would change my life.
However, it was something that I was happy to be involved in. I was asked to sing.
A Facebook (FB) friend, who is also a real life mutual friend of another friend of mine, works at Zehrs supermarket, in LaSalle, ON. LaSalle, is next door to my city, Windsor.
D created an music event that was to be held at Zehrs, last Friday, February 13th.
While D works for the supermarket, he is also a DJ. He has professional equipment to play music for various types of events, like the one he was having that day, or weddings, parties, etc.
In any case, D had arranged for several people to join him in the coffee area.
While some would sing. There was a fellow from the Toronto area, who was a poet, songwriter and musician who played a guitar and sang. He's also a FB user.
To be honest, he was a very nice person to listen to.
Using his poetry, he went from table to table, using his poetry to entertain people. Including me. I enjoyed the poems he recited.
Then, D asked me to sing. I did.
The first (1st) song I sang was Love Is A Many Splendored Thing. I'll tell you about it, another day. However, I will say that I had been asked to make sure I sang about love, since we were heading for Valentine's Day, within a few hours.
When I began singing it, there were only a couple people in the area. While I sang, people came and sat in the area. And, I saw people standing on the other side of the coffee serving kiosk, who were walking around doing grocery shopping.
Even the store manager came through the area, as he headed towards the staircase, leading to the upper floor. He smiled and gave a thumbs up, that I presume was to D.
The second (2nd) song I sang was You Raise Me Up. This is a song I'm sure most of you are familiar with.
I was happy that people seemed to enjoy my singing. Especially, since I was singing a capella... without music.
However, something happened that truly blew me away. Almost literally.
D asked me to sing again.
To be honest, I was feeling stressed all that day, including when I was there singing. I let him know I wasn't really prepared to do that. And, I knew that he was aware I was freezing there, and wanted to leave.
He encouraged me to stay and sing.
I let D know I felt rather frustrated, since I knew I needed to leave. And, with the stress, I couldn't even bring to mind a song I wanted to sing... even though I know many!
Seriously, my mind went blank, and panic began to come over me.
In fact, when I finally agreed and began to sing, my mind went blank once again. This was truly embarrassing, because I couldn't recall the lyrics.
After a short time, I took a deep breath, apologized to everyone, and handed back the microphone to D. And, I left the building.
Sigh...
This was truly an embarrassing moment, for me.
However, there was something else that was seriously upsetting to me. It was the fact that the panic feeling stayed with me. At least, for much of the rest of the day.
It was the same panic I felt years ago, when I had a few opportunities to have a music career, and couldn't do it, due to having stage fright... by way of panic attacks.
This panic had not overcome me for many, many years. Yet, it happened, last Friday. :(
To be honest, I thought God had totally healed me from this horrible problem. I thought He healed me many years ago.
But now, I realize that I have not been fully healed, that way.
Even so, I trust God. For everything in my life.
Just as we are told we should do, in Psalm 28:7, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him."
Yes, the Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in Him. He helps me.
And, my heart greatly rejoices in Him, for all He does for me. I praise Him in many ways. Including through any music I sing.
Just so you know, the panic left me.
And yesterday, I found myself singing for a group of people at a dinner I attended. Without any panic, or any problem.
I praise God for this. And, thank Him... for all He does for me!
Until next time...

Amazing!
Much like what I normally discuss, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I went to Bible study, yesterday. And, of course, worshipped with my church family.
How fitting it is that our Bible study teacher, has been discussing issues about the heart. Your heart and mine. After all, February is a month of the year where the focus is on the heart.
How proud I am of him, also!
W has been a member of my church family for many, many years, now. In fact, before I worshipped with them, I met him and some other members regarding issues concerning missions.
In addition, as a realtor, I helped this church group obtain some properties that were purchased to help expand the church building's property. Today, where those structures were, the land is vacant. And, one day it will become a place for more people to be able to park.
Knowing that W had a stroke a few months ago, I am so very happy that God provided for him. And, has restored him to the point where he teaches us, again. Thank You, Lord!
Isn't it amazing how God works?
By Him healing brother W enough to have him teach us about God's Word, the Bible, we are truly being blessed. In addition, He has provided a way for W to fulfill what God would have him do.
Just as we read, in 2 Timothy 4:1-2, "I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine."
Through God's healing, He has made a way where there wasn't one, for a while.
Now once again, W preaches/teaches God's Word. And, teaches all who participate in the Bible study group, about how to be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
Just as God would have him, do.
What a blessing God has done, not just for W, but also for all who are being taught by him. Again, I thank You, Lord!
By W doing what he is doing, many who are there to learn, will be able to do more of God's work that He has commanded us to do.
For this, I will always be thankful. Hallelujah!
Until next time...

Talk About Deep, Deep Love!
Even though today on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I will once again let you know I'm going to worship, I want to say that this weekend, and even this month, is mainly about love.
Love... is so very important to people. For sure, in many ways. Not just the way humans mainly think about it as being.
Thinking about honouring and glorifying our Lord through music, I came across some music I thought was so very important to us.
I must admit that I am not sure who wrote it. One source says it is Todd Wilson Agnew, while another source says it is by Samuel Trevor Francis & Bob Kauflin.
No matter what the truth is, here is a link for Oh the Deep, Deep Love, so you can listen to and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPXapfFfesA. The lyrics are below.
Oh the Deep, Deep Love
Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus
Vast, unmeasured, boundless, free
Rolling as a mighty ocean
In its fullness over me
Underneath me, all around me
Is the current of Thy love
Leading onward, leading homeward
To Thy glorious rest above
(Not recorded: Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus
Deeper than the deepest sea
The love that led my Christ to die
Is the love that set me free)
Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus
Spread His praise from shore to shore
How He loveth, ever loveth
Changeth never, nevermore
How He watches o'er His loved ones
Died to call them all His own
How for them He's interceding
Watcheth o'er them from the throne
(Not recorded: Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus
Deeper than the deepest sea
The love that led my Christ to die
Is the love that set me free)
Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus
Love of every, love the best
Tis an ocean vast a blessing
Tis a haven sweet of rest
Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus
Tis a heaven of heavens to me
And it lifts me up to glory
For it lifts me up to Thee
( Not recorded: Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus
Deeper than the deepest sea
The love that led my Christ to die
Is the love that set me free
That set me free)
Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus... is greater than anything else in this world.
After all, Jesus is our way to Heaven.
Just as we read, in John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Jesus was honest with us. After all, He told us that He is the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by... Him.
There is no other way, to be with God the Father, to spend eternity in Heaven.
So, my friend... if you are not yet saved, begin reading the Bible, today. Begin with the New Testament, where you'll see God's plan of salvation for us, and how we obtain it.
It's simple. Trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ... and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31).
Talk about love. Deep, deep love. This is truly it.
For this, I praise God, and thank Him! Hallelujah!
Until next time...

H.B. K! Love At It's Best & Happy Valentines' Day!
Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I would like to wish K a very Happy Birthday! Plus, I'd like to thank him and my daughter P for having me over last evening to celebrate K's birthday. Thank you. It was a blessing to me. Once again, Happy Birthday, K!
If you read yesterday's LwL entry, you'll know that to me, God's love is very important.
In fact, it is even more important than that. It is the greatest love I've ever had.
God's love is so serious. So, complete. And, so filled with compassion for people, that I can honestly say, there is no greater love that anyone can have.
God loved us, so very much, that He sent His only begotten Son, to earth, to suffer for the sin of the world, of all who will believe.
And, He let us know that nothing will ever separate us from the love of God, that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Just as He told us, in Romans 8:35-39, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Many of us suffer in life, feeling unloved, unwanted, unappreciated in many ways, for many reasons, by people.
But, those who are truly saved by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, know that He is with us always. And, we can never be separated from Him.
This means that we are truly loved.
I praise God for this. And, will always love Him, in return.
After all, this is truly love... at it's best.
Until next time...

Love?
Today, on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be discussing a rather personal subject.
It's about how some people don't really like what I write about.
Their varied opinions, are exactly that. Opinions. Their opinions.
For me, the only opinion that matters is God's opinion.
He's all that matters to me. I am not looking to please man. Only God.
In a previous entry quite a while ago, here on LwL, I posted 2 Timothy 4:2-4, "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
Today, I am once again quoting these Bible verses.
What we read, explains exactly why I do these things. God instructed us to preach the Word, reprove, rebuke and exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
Why is this important to me?
Well, the truth is, I am grateful that God saved me. The last thing I would ever want to happen, would be for someone I know, whether family, friend or foe, to spend eternity in hell.
I am not alone in this thinking. While I may not be a professional Bible teacher/preacher, I know I've had great teaching/preaching. And, there are many Bible preachers/teachers out there who agree with me.
However, just as we read, there will come a time when they will not endure sound doctrine. And, shall turn away their ears from the truth...
It seems like we are living in that very time.
Please don't dismiss what I've been writing about. Think about it. Pray about it.
Ask God to reveal truth to you. His truth.
In response, I'm sure He'll show you that I've been speaking the truth... in love.
Until next time...

Seven Days in Utopia & I'll Be Seeing You...
Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), with Valentine's Day coming quickly, I can only say that love is special.
Quite a while ago, I headed to Calvary Community Church, for a movie night.
Arriving at the church, I gave my donation, received my bottle of water and container of popcorn and made my way to where I was to be seated. Within a couple of minutes, a friend arrived.
As we talked, people were entering the room, making their way to find seats. It seemed that we knew so-o many people, we hardly had time to talk with each other. We were busy talking with other people! With introductions, as well. Of course, we were both surprised that we had some common friends, too!
The movie we watch was entitled, Seven Days in Utopia.
Not wanting to spoil the ending for you, I won't tell you much about the movie. But, I will post a LINK to Wikipedia, where you can read more about it.
To me, it was a great movie! I enjoyed it. It was happy, sad, and interesting. But, the ending was exceptional. That's all I will say about it! lol :) If you haven't yet seen it, make sure you do!
For some reason, the song I'll Be Seeing You, has been on my mind, lately. It's an oldie, to say the least. I cannot seem to stop thinking about it.
As I've said before, I do not know why I awaken with songs on my heart, but I do. In any case, here is a Youtube link so you can hear the song, sung by Byng Crosby: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ld7pkvZPQk. The lyrics are below.
I'll Be Seeing You
Realizing there was a movie of the same name, where the song was played, I decided to watch it. I cannot say I had ever seen it, previously. If I had, I didn't recall watching this film, before.
Like most movies from that golden film era, it had a happy ending. An ending that made me cry. You might wonder why. My reply would be, because real love never dies. It never ends.
Real love always survives. And, never dies. Just like God.
After all, God is love.
Just as we read, in 1 John 4:16, "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."
Yes, God loves us.
He loves us so much, that He has provided a way of salvation. A way, for everyone in the world to obtain it.
All a person has to do, is trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ and they shall be saved.
Thinking about love, and how romantic and loving it is to be looking at the stars in the sky, and the moon, itself... made me think about how wonderful love truly is.
God's love. And, love that people have for each other.
This brought to mind, something I recalled from the song posted, today.
... I'll be looking at the moon, but I'll be seeing you...
Until next time...

As I've said before, I do not know why I awaken with songs on my heart, but I do. In any case, here is a Youtube link so you can hear the song, sung by Byng Crosby: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ld7pkvZPQk. The lyrics are below.
I'll Be Seeing You
I'll be seeing you in all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces, all day through
In that small cafe, the park across the way
The children's carousel, the chestnut trees, the wishing well
That this heart of mine embraces, all day through
In that small cafe, the park across the way
The children's carousel, the chestnut trees, the wishing well
I'll be seeing you in every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay, I'll always think of you that way
I'll find you in the mornin' sun and when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon but I'll be seeing you
In everything that's light and gay, I'll always think of you that way
I'll find you in the mornin' sun and when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon but I'll be seeing you
I'll find you in the mornin' sun and when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon but I'll be seeing you
I'll be looking at the moon but I'll be seeing you
Realizing there was a movie of the same name, where the song was played, I decided to watch it.

Answered Prayer!
I can't recall if I mentioned, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), that I've been doing something that I have been using as exercise. Line dancing.
As I've mentioned in the past, there are times when I've gone to one of our local legion locations, to meet up with friends of mine. My friend L, is a fellow realtor, she and her boyfriend like to attend there, because they enjoy dancing.
I began going there from time to time, just to have a break from being alone at home.
I must admit, I enjoy watching them, and many, many, many other couples dance. Especially, since most of them have taken dancing lessons!
As for me, well I do not have anyone to dance with, so I have not done any dancing the way couples do.
However, one of the wonderful dancers I have seen there, also teaches a form of dancing. Line dancing.
When I was first told this, I spoke with her. She confirmed that she teaches line dancing at a South Windsor Presbyterian Church, called Paulin Memorial.
She also let me know that I was welcome to attend.
I thanked her and went in the fall for the first time. However, as you are probably aware, I had hurt myself by lifting too much, and actually caused myself to have a twisted vertebrae again, as I had many of in the past. So, I didn't go for a couple of months.
However, over the past few weeks, I've actually attended the line dancing lessons, again.
Not only do I thank my teacher, and her substitute who taught us yesterday, since she's away on vacation. But, I also greatly thank God.
I thank Him for helping me. And, for providing for me to have some form of exercise that I can do.
Even if it truly wears me out! lol
It is fun. It is definitely helping me become stronger, for I am not suffering afterwards for as long as in the beginning.
In my heart, I believe God provided this, not just to help me, a single person, be able to have some fun with friends from time to time. I also believe He provided this for me, so I would have a way of gaining strength.
After all, God provides for us, who belong to Him. Especially, when we ask Him to.
Just as He told us, in Matthew 7:11, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"
I praise Him and thank Him for wanting to provide for me. Just as I asked Him to.
God knew what I needed.
He knew I still am not able to lift much. He knew that I am unable to work out in a gym.
He knew I needed some sort of exercise to help build some physical strength in me.
After praying to Him, He answered my prayer. And, provided for me.
I truly feel blessed.
Thank You, dear God! I know I could not do this, without You.
Until next time...

A Handful!
In yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I discussed what I did with my church family, on our Lord's Day. SONday.
Today, I thought it would be good to let you know about what I did on Saturday evening.
I went to Tim Hortons (Timmy's) on Tecumseh Rd. E. (between Red Lobster restaurant and Joseph's Market), in Windsor, ON, Canada. I arrived about 6:45 p.m.
Before I arrived there, I prayed that God would provide an area at the back, where a large group of us Christian Singles, could spend time together, if in fact, many people showed up.
As I drove past that part of the building, I saw people sitting in that area. I said to our Lord, 'Oh well. It's Your will that is done. Not mine.', thinking that those men I saw sitting in that area would be there for a while.
However, after I parked my van, and walked into Timmy's, each and every one of those men got up and left. Not just that area where I hoped to be able to sit, but also in that whole part of the coffee shop!
Silently, I praised God! And, thanked Jesus!
Being unsure of how many people would arrive, I made sure there were several tables put together into a line of them, so that if we had several people show up, we'd all be seated, together.
Thinking about how God supplied my need, and the need of the group of people meeting there, made me think about how we need to not wonder what we need. God already knows.
Just as we read, in Matthew 6:31-32, "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things."
There is no need for us to wonder about things, just as we read in today's verses.
God knows everything about us. He knows our every need.
And, He supplies for all us who belong to Him, our every need.
Do you belong to God? Are you His child?
Are you saved?
If so, you are truly blessed. For He will always take care of every need you have.
If not, you need to come to Christ.
You need to trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, so that you will gain salvation. And, come to know and be thankful to Him, for everything He will do for you.
Come to Christ, today. You'll be glad you did!
By the way, just so you know, instead of having only one (1) person show up, like last month at the old location, we had a few more. A handful!
Praise God! Hallelujah!
Until next time...

Eateth! & Prayer Request...
Yesterday, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I mentioned that I would be going to Bible study, and to worship with my church family.
I must admit, I felt rather badly that I wasn't able to do so, last week.
Even so, when I spent time with my church family, I found out I wasn't the only person who didn't attend, when we had that awful weather. Apparently, many others didn't either.
In addition, our pastor and his wife weren't there. They were away on vacation. On a cruise.
Unfortunately, I found out yesterday, along with my other church family members, that our pastor's wife, L was ill during the whole cruise time. :(
And, L is still not well. So, please... if you can find it in your heart to pray for her, please do so. Thank you! May God bless you...
When I missed that first SONday of the month, I felt badly thinking I missed out on having communion. But, I didn't. Miss out, I mean!
You see, instead of celebrating communion on the first Lord's Day of the month, we had it, yesterday!
For this, I praised God! Hallelujah!
I must admit, that I felt blessed. Totally, blessed.
After all, Jesus made it clear that when we celebrate communion, we are celebrating Him, and our eternal life.
Just as we read, in John 6:53-58, "Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever."
I praise God for giving us a way of salvation. I praise Jesus, for fulfilling God the Father's plan of salvation, that allowed for us to be saved!
And, I praise Him for providing us with a way of honouring Him.
For this, I'll always be thankful. And, will always participate.
Until next time...

The Blood...
Hopefully, when I say here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) that I'll be going to meet with my church family today, I'll actually be able to do so. Unlike what happened last week, due to excessive snow.
After not being able to attend Bible study, and not being able to worship with my church family last week, I must admit, I felt badly that I wasn't able to do this.
However, there was nothing I could do about it. So, I just worshipped at home.
Music is such a big part of worship, for me.
A song that came to mind, that I've sung during worship time. However, I have no idea who wrote it. The title is, O The Blood Of Jesus. Here is a link so you can listen to and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8hrOhHnxxY. (Please know that the lyrics are in both English and in Hebrew on this recording.)
O The Blood Of Jesus
Oh the blood of Jesus
Oh the blood of Jesus
Oh the blood of Jesus
It washes white as snow
Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
K'sheleg malbeen
Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
K'sheleg malbeen
Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
Ho damo shel Yeshua
K'sheleg malbeen (gets sung at the same time as in English)
Oh the blood of Jesus
Oh the blood of Jesus
Oh the blood of Jesus
It washes white as snow
K'sheleg malbeen
It washes white as snow
N.B. There is another verse that has been sung during worship, yet was not sung/recorded here. In English only, here it is:
O the cross of Jesus
O the cross of Jesus
O the cross of Jesus
His death brings life to me
Whenever I think of these lyrics, I think about how the blood of Jesus is so very important. To me. To you. And, to every single person in this world.
Since atonement was done during Old Testament times, by the shedding of blood, blood was truly very important.
However, Jesus' blood was even of greater importance. As was His death on the cross.
Just as we read in Hebrews 10:19-20, "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;"
Yes, by the shedding of Jesus' blood, those who trust in/believe upon Him, receive a new life. A new living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the use of His flesh, and through His... Jesus' blood, just as we read in today's verses.
Are you trusting in/believing upon Jesus?
Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus?
My friend, if you don't yet, please... come to Him, today. Tomorrow, may be too late.
Until next time...

Terror, Murder & Humbleness...
In yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I discussed ISIS/ISIL.
Unfortunately, some people believe I shouldn't speak up regarding Islam and the trouble we in the world, are having with it. Even though some people think ISIS/ISIL haven't got anything to do with Islam, I believe they are wrong.
After all, anyone/everyone participating with ISIS/ISIL are Muslim. Muslims who truly believe what the Qur'an teaches. And, are attacking in various parts of the world, just the way they are taught.
On Tuesday this week, CBC News, here in Canada talked about what was happening, recently. I saw it on the television (TV). And later, found it online.
Here is a link to an article they posted online entitled, Terrorism-related charges laid against Ottawa men with alleged ISIS ties: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/terrorism-related-charges-laid-against-ottawa-men-with-alleged-isis-ties-1.2943313.
If you take the time to read it, you'll see that what I've been saying in the past, is happening, in reality. There are people here, who are virtually terrorists. Some born into Islamic families, and some who converted to Islam. And, charges are being laid.
Praise God! After all, our government has finally reached the point where they are standing up/speaking out, and making various efforts to protect us. Hallelujah!
Something else I saw on the CBC News, was a horrible story.
Here is a link to the online version posted by them entitled, Muath al-Kaseasbeh, ISIS hostage, purportedly burned alive: http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/muath-al-kaseasbeh-isis-hostage-purportedly-burned-alive-1.2943229.
Unfortunately, that Jordanian pilot's F-16 plane crashed near Raqqa, Syria, and the Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh fell into the militant hands of ISIS.
Even though he was Jordanian, he was tortured with soaked with gasoline, and set on fire. This was done while he was alive. He was burned, to death.
Some people are trying to say that it proves that ISIS is just a group of terrorists affecting the world, and are not focused on Islam and what it teaches about killing infidels (non-Muslims).
That my friends, is not true.
In fact, ISIS/ISIL, and other terrorist groups are in fact, seriously focused on Islam. And, the teachings of the Qur'an and other of their holy books/teachings.
It's easy for Muslims to try and say it is not the case. Especially, when they don't want to be blamed for having any part in the problem the world is facing.
But, Islam is the problem.
Their holy teachings are recognized and accepted by those terrorist groups, who have a sever focus on what they have been taught. Not just are they instructed to kill anyone refusing to become Muslim, but they are also taught to kill anyone who is not supporting them. Even if that person is Muslim.
What can we do?
Well, our government here in Canada is stepping up to the plate in a strong way, to help protect us Canadians. For this I am thankful.
As Christians, we need to humble ourselves, and pray.
Just as we read, in 2 Chronicles 7:14, " If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
We need to humble ourselves, pray, and seek His face. We need to turn from our wicked ways. Then, He will hear from Heaven will forgive our sin... and heal our land.
Yes, our land needs healing.
Just as we can see in everyday life. And, on the news.
But, in order to be healed, we need to have forgiveness for our sin. In order to receive this from Him, we need to turn from wicked ways. Ways that promote sin in our generational society.
So please, pray. Plant seeds for Christ. And, do what you can to help others understand that there is much sin in today's society.
Sin in today's society, that needs to stop, and be turned away from, in order for us as a group to receive forgiveness and have our land healed.
For this, I will continually pray. May you join me, my friend. For if you do, you will be blessed.
Until next time...

ISIS/ISIL Be Afraid? Are You Ready?
Once again, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I have many links to share with you.
A friend on Facebook (FB), shared a video CNN.com published a link that I believe everyone needs to watch. It's entitled, ISIS Hostage Speaks Out: http://www.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/bestoftv/2014/10/04/dnt-damon-isis-releases-kidnapped-boy.cnn.html.
This proves to the world that when Muslims take hostages, it is not difficult to brainwash them into becoming one of their family. Especially, when doing this with children.
Another video was posted by a friend on FB. This one is by Fox News' Judge Jeanine and is entitled, We Are Not Ready For War With ISIS: http://video.foxnews.com/v/3797776189001/judge-jeanine-we-are-not-ready-for-war-with-isis/?playlist_id=937116552001#sp=show-clips.
Then, another video was posted. This one is by CNN.com and is entitled, New Details of Man Behind Beheading Horror: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eirWbdM23V4.
Think about what you've read, watched and heard about ISIS.
This next video is by CNN.com entitled, U.S. Teen arrested, Allegedly Tried to Join ISIS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFxqRTB6uqs. I shared this, after being posted by a friend on FB.
The teenager featured in that video by CNN.com, was also mentioned in an ABC News video and article, along with the parents of the latest person being held by the Muslim that is featured in New Details of Man Behind Beheading Horror, who were interviewed. This ABC News video and article is entitled, Feds: Teen Arrested at O'Hare, Wanted to Join ISIS: http://abcnews.go.com/International/feds-teen-arrested-ohare-wanted-join-isis/story?id=25996408.
After posting about the U.S. teenager who was arrested for allegedly trying to join ISIS, people commented. One fellow said that Canadian Government has allowed 80 people who fought for ISIS to return to Canada.
This seemed truly upsetting to another fellow, who also commented. And, so it should be. Not just upsetting to him, but to everyone who lives in Canada, and who is not Islamic (Muslim).
In the past, I've said over and over again, that I believe we are being set up for attack, from the inside out. Now, the proof is evident.
And, there is more proof, in an article by the National Post concerning: Soldier dies after being run down in suspected terror attack near Montreal and entitled, Martin 'Ahmad' Rouleau killed after high-speed chase. Here is a link for you to read about it: http://news.nationalpost.com/2014/10/20/driver-who-ran-into-canadian-soldiers-near-montreal-was-known-to-counter-terrorism-officials-rcmp/.
Of course, you are probably aware of how Cpl. Nathan Cirillo was shot and killed in Ottawa. I previously wrote about his death. In case you didn't read about it previously, here is a link by Yahoo News entitled, Thousands mourn at funeral of Canadian soldier slain in Ottawa: https://ca.news.yahoo.com/canadian-soldier-killed-ottawa-parliament-attack-laid-rest-070324102.html.
Just so you know, I wrote this LwL entry immediately after our soldiers were attacked and a couple of them killed, back in October. Yes, I even entitled this entry at that time, even though I never posted it online, until today.
Obviously, I was not alone in thinking that we all need to be ready to go to Heaven.
Here is a link by CVTV entitled, Billy Graham Releases New Message Called Heaven: http://christianvideotv.com/billy-graham-releases-new-message-called-heaven/.
I praise God that I am not alone in my thinking. After all, God told us we need to be ready.
Just as He told us, in Matthew 24:44, "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh."
To me, it is heartbreaking that many people do not agree with me, and with others like Billy Graham, concerning our need to be ready.
Those who feel that way, may not be reading the Word of God, the Bible. Or, they may be someone who is not trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ. If this is the case, they have not gained salvation. And, will spend eternity in Hell, separated from God, with no chance of escape.
Hopefully, you are not one of those people. I pray that you and I will spend eternity together in Heaven, with God.
Until next time...

This I Believe!
From time to time, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discuss music I enjoy. Today, will be one of those days!
A Facebook friend of mine, F who was a childhood friend of mine, posted a song I had never before heard. Thank you, F. I truly enjoyed this song!
It is by Anthony Eden, sung by Hillsong Worship and is entitled, This I Believe (The Creed). This is a fairly new song, that was published July 1, 2014. Here is a link for you to listen and or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuDI-sk2nJU#t=13. The lyrics are below.
This I Believe
Our Father everlasting
The all creating one
God almighty
Through your Holy Spirit
Conceiving Christ the Son
Jesus our Saviour
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in one
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe
In the name of Jesus
Our judge and our defender
Suffered and crucified
Forgiveness is in You
Descended into darkness
You rose in glorious life
Forever seated high
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in one
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe
In the name of Jesus
I believe in You
I believe You rose again
I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord
I believe in You
I believe You rose again
I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in one
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe
In the name of Jesus
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in one
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe
In the name of Jesus
For I believe
In the name of Jesus
For I believe
In the name of Jesus
I believe in life eternal
I believe in the virgin birth
I believe in the saints' communion
And in Your holy church
I believe in the resurrection
When Jesus comes again
For I believe
In the name of Jesus
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in one
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe
In the name of Jesus
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in one
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe
In the name of Jesus
For I believe
In the name of Jesus
Yes, I believe in our Lord, Jesus Christ. He was/is God the Father's only begotten Son.
Jesus came to earth, being 100% God, and 100% man.
He came to fulfill the plan of redemption that God the Father created for us. To save us from spending eternity in Hell.
Our Lord, came to earth to pay the price for the sin of the world, of all who will believe. So that we could spend eternity in Heaven with Him.
When He left this earth, He sent the Holy Spirit to help us and guide us, through our lives.
All we need to do is to trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, and we will be saved. Hallelujah!
Just as we read, in Acts 4:10-12, "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
There is no other way for salvation to be obtained.
It's through Jesus. And, Him... alone.
After all, just as we read, there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
So, if you haven't yet accepted Jesus as your Saviour, do so, today. Tomorrow, may be too late.
Until next time...

H.B. J! & A Horrible Ordeal...
If you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, you'll know that I discussed a special day. Groundhog Day.
However, being Groundhog Day on Monday wasn't the only thing special about that day.
It was also a day when I was supposed to go to my daughter's home, for dinner. It was then, that we planned on celebrating my step-grandson J's birthday!
Happy Birthday, J!
Hopefully, you read about how it was we planned... on celebrating J's birthday. While some family did so, I could not.
After having a heavy load of snow dropped upon our city, it wasn't easy to drive.
The main bus routes were plowed, of course. As were the school bus routes.
But, all roads were not. Especially, side streets.
Thinking about this, makes me feel blessed not having to park on city streets, like I have done at times in the past.
It truly makes me happy that I am parked in a covered parking area. This certainly makes it easy to leave where I'm parked and park again later, after returning home.
This was not the case at my daughter's home. And, the area she lives in.
On Facebook (FB) yesterday, she posted about how she was stuck in the snow on her street for 20 minutes. Eventually, she made it out and was able to get with her son's (my grandson's) doctor's appointment.
For this I praised God!
Did the City of Windsor ever get around to plowing her street? NO!
When I went to drive in the area where my daughter and her family lives, I found myself having trouble making my way on some of the streets. Especially, hers.
Even as I turned onto her street, I found myself battling through a high volume of heavy snow.
It seemed like yard after yard, I battled again. Over and over.
Eventually, I made it near her home. There was no parking spot for me. Every space normally available was taken.
One vehicle had trouble getting out.
At first, I thought that after that vehicle left, I might be able to park there. But, it didn't happen that way.
In fact, I had to avoid hitting the car owner, even though I battled my way through the deep snow near him, because he had gone and gotten a shovel to help remove some snow around his tires.
Knowing I had to move, so he could try and get out of this spot, I did so. Only this didn't help. Not him. Nor, me.
In fact, when I made my way only a few feet away, I had to turn a bend in the roadway, a corner-like situation.
Normally, this would be easy. It wasn't, yesterday.
Stuck. Stuck. Stuck. Stuck. Stuck... is all I can say, as I finally made my way around the bend, and found there was no parking available there, either. At least, nowhere I could possibly park my van.
Arriving near the stop sign, I began to battle an even greater amount of snow. Especially, since that other road had been plowed, making an even greater amount of snow to get through in that intersection. Since there was traffic driving there, I found it took quite a while for me to be able to drag through that horrible hard and heavy snow that the plow left in front of me and my van.
All this horribleness took me at least 20 minutes. Maybe more.
I thought maybe I could park across the street, but found myself stuck in an area that also hadn't been plowed, with nowhere for me to park.
I praised God that there was a plowed driveway, there! I pulled in, thinking I would be able to turn around and head back to make my way to be able to go back to near my daughter's home.
Backing out seemed okay, until I hit the roadway. Sigh...
Once again, at that corner, there was traffic making it's way back and forth. Yes, that road had been plowed.
However, when I began to struggle through the deep snow, I found it likely that I might hit a parked vehicle, in my effort to try and make it around the block once again, to try and find a place to park on my daughter's street. Or, try to swing my van around a bit, and head up my daughter's street, heading the wrong way to find any parking places.
Not wanting to hit that parked vehicle, I was grateful that I was able to swing my van around a bit. This meant that I was heading up my daughter's street the wrong way, for there would be no parking, headed in that direction.
This meant I would not be able to park my vehicle. So, I decided to just drop off the birthday gift to J, instead. And, phoned my daughter to send someone outside to take the things I was bringing to them.
When I finally arrived near her home, that fellow who had been trying to shovel away enough snow for him to get out of that parking spot, was still there. But, eventually got out, praise God! Even if it was only a moment or two (2) before a grandson of mine came out, to take from me J's gift, and some other things I had for his mom.
By now, I'd been struggling through the snow in her area, for about a half hour, or more. And, more time was used up, struggling more.
As I began trying to make my way through the deep snow, I kept getting stuck, over and over. Then, I noticed someone who had been struggling to get out of their parking spot at the top of the street, finally got out.
Instead of backing up past one (1) house, and backing out onto a plowed roadway, that person made their way towards me. Where did they think I would go?!
We both stopped. And, the car behind me, did too.
That van ahead of me insisted I needed to back up. What did I do?
I shut off my vehicle and put on my 4-way flashers. And, prayed.
The driver of the car behind me approached the van that had chosen to block us, and let them know they had to reverse up the street. So, the driver finally decided to do it.
By the time I got off my daughter's street, I had spent well over 45 minutes, struggling through the snow on that unplowed street. Sigh...
After arriving home, I tried to call my daughter. I had to leave a message. Later, I went on FB and messaged her. No response.
I did however get a response, after I posted about the trial I had on her street, on a posting she had made early that morning. Her response showed me that she was angry with me, for not going into her home, to celebrate J's birthday.
While I found this upsetting, I chose to forgive her. And, anyone else who may have been upset with me. Even if I felt as frustrated, as I did.
After all, God did tell us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
So, forgiving anyone upset with me, was important. At least, to me. For, I look to Him for everything. Everything in my life.
As for J?
Well, being 20 years old, I believe he is old enough to understand the problem I had. And, old enough to understand that I am not physically strong enough to shovel or push my vehicle, no matter how badly the weather and roadways are.
So, I will once again wish J a very Happy Birthday! Even if this is somewhat belated.
May God bless you, and provide for all your needs. I'm hoping you enjoyed your gift and will get to see you, soon.
I praise God for helping me through that horrible ordeal, caused by the deep snow that had not been plowed away, on my daughter's street.
I could not have done this, without You! Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
