Starting Over!

While there are times here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), when I've copied and pasted information for you, it is rare that I do this with a message from a friend.  However, today is one of those days.

The friend and his wife, who sent me the e-mail work for our Lord.

T. John Franklin has an on-line site entitled, Church of Salvation, Healing and Deliverance.  Here is a link, for you to check it out:  And, here is the e-mail message I received:

Hi All,
Praying in Jesus' name that God will bless & guide you through 2015.

Going Down A New Road

Do you remember the days of yore when you went on a long auto trip? Back then, there were novel tools of navigation. They were called maps and compasses. And before you could start driving, you had to plan out your trip, in precise details. But first, you had to acquire the latest and most up to date ones. And if you went out of country, you needed a set of maps from each region. Well experienced travellers would also keep a good set of maps in their car, just in case.

Then the fun began. Choosing your destination. Choosing tourist attractions. Choosing a good family hotel, in a good part of town. Then, choosing the best roads. Do you want the fast highways, to get there as soon as possible? Or, do you want the smaller and slower roads, with more scenery? Then the list of roads is made, with cities, exits, etc.

Is there anyone who does it that way anymore? Not many. Then computers came along. If you got a map disc, you could input the point of departure, and the destination, with a few variables, and you would get a planned route. And when the internet came along, similar tasks could be done, with a lot more info. And the accuracy improved too.

Is there anyone who does it that way anymore? Not many. To-day, the GPS is in vogue. Now you do not even need a dedicated one. Many mobile devices have GPS apps, to do the same thing. As the unit knows where you are starting from, you do not have to enter that data. Just type in your destination, with your travelling preferences, and the route with all its instructions appears on the screen. And away you go.

One thing is still important, which ever way you do it. The process of trip planning is estential. A well planned trip will be enjoyed by all. A poorly planned one will be remembered by all, and for many years. As no-one is an expert on everything, who do you consult to get accurate information? Many people to-day are going to travel agencies, to do all the work for them. And if they get a reputable one, they will not have any problems.

There is One All Knowing Person, Who is available to help His People in planning all areas of their lives. The True and Living God, and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, is in Heaven, awaiting our prayers and petitions for help. He has given His Holy Spirit to live in us. He has given us His Word, to guide our steps through life. And Our Lord Jesus Christ is planning for our one way journey to Him.

Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know. Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way? Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him. Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us. Jesus said to him, Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, Show us the Father? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world? Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me. These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. You have heard Me say to you, I am going away and coming back to you. If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, I am going to the Father, for My Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe. I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me. But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here. (John 14:1-31)

No matter what happens; God is still in control. He sent His Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ down here to Shed His Blood, and pay the penalty for our sins. Our Lord Jesus Christ has advice for everyone. Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again. (John 3:7)

He still wants you to spend Eternity with Him, and His Heavenly Father. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)

And he brought them out and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? So they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household. (Acts 16:30-31)

For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)

Here on LwL, I would like to thank John and his wife, B.  Not just for sending me this wonderful e-mail message that glorifies God so completely.  But, also for being such good and prayerful friends.

As I mentioned in the past, here on LwL, they even spoke with me by phone and prayed with me.  And, for me.

What a blessing they have been to me.

If you need prayer for healing, or if you need prayer at all, don't be afraid to contact them.  To contact them, click on the link above, or on the link available on the list of blogs I read.  If God places it on your heart and/or mind, be sure to contact them, for they will truly be a blessing to you.

Something you surely aren't aware of, is the fact that I wondered which of these Bible verses I should use, today.  I even thought about this, before I read his e-mail message and even more seriously, afterwards.

Ultimately, it came to mind that each and every one of us needs to be reading the Bible.  By doing so, we become knowledgeable regarding God, and His will for us and our lives.

Just as we read, in 2 Timothy 3:16, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"

Yes, scriptures have been inspired of God.  Even if they were written by people, here on earth.

Once again, being the beginning of the year, I have started over and have begun reading the Bible, right from the beginning, in Genesis.

After all, scripture is profitable for us.  It teaches us, corrects us, and gives us instruction, as to what God would have us do.

How blessed we are, having Bible scriptures!  For this, I will always be thankful.

Thank You, Lord!  Hallelujah!

Until next time...
