Peace...

Once again, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be posting music and lyrics.  Just as I have done for a while now.

After all, I will be attending Bible study.  And, worshipping with my church family, afterwards.

As you are probably aware, I worship in spirit and in truth.  And, through music!

I came across music used as a benediction.  It's written by Keith Getty & Stuart Townend and is entitled, May the Peace of God.  Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQlFHIRFGGU.  The lyrics are below.

May the Peace of God

May the peace of God, our heav'nly Father,
And the grace of Christ, the risen Son,
And the fellowship of God the Spirit
Keep your hearts and minds within His love.

And to Him be praise for His glorious reign;
From the depths of earth to the heights of heaven
We declare the name of the Lamb once slain--
Christ eternal, the King of Kings.

May this peace which passes understanding,
And this grace which makes us what we are,
And this fellowship of His communion,
Make us one in spirit and in heart.

And to Him be praise for His glorious reign;
From the depths of earth to the heights of heaven
We declare the name of the Lamb once slain--
Christ eternal, the King of Kings.

And to Him be praise for His glorious reign;
From the depths of earth to the heights of heaven
We declare the name of the Lamb once slain--
Christ eternal, the King of Kings.

While I cannot say for sure, I believe that this music was written, based upon Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

After all, the peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep our hearts and mind through Christ Jesus.  It makes us one in spirit and in heart.  Just as the lyrics tell us.

What a blessing it is, to have brothers and sisters in the Lord.  Church family, who love God, the way I do.  I must admit, I truly feel blessed.

However, there are also some people I know, who I wish would love Him, the same way.

For those people, I pray that God will reveal His truth to them.  And, draw them close to Him.  This, I pray... in Jesus' name.

Until next time...
