If you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, you'll know that yesterday was my grandson, D's birthday.

When I began the day, I had a few things to do.

You see, I have been organizing and preparing to host a GIFT SALE, on November 8th, here in the party room of my apartment building.  Before I began setting things up, I checked with our office, and found out it was okay for me to do this.

So, I had contacted some fellow authors, and some other friends who either sold some type of things, or made craft items.  Plus, I had created a sale ad/flyer.

After e-mailing the flyer to everyone participating, I sent it to our building office, so that it could be printed and posted here in the building, and added to our television channel, where everyone can see/read what is happening, here.

This afternoon, after working on some things to prepare myself for the gift sale, I received a phone call.  The person calling was the President of our Board of Directors, who make all decisions on how to run our complex.

I was told by this person, that I was not being allowed to host the gift sale, here in our building.

We discussed several things.  Including the fact that I had been told it was okay for me to do this, by our office person who takes care of all the daily planning of our building.

She made a comment that I found to be a lie.  And, told her so.

You see, I was told that no one was allowed to hold a sale of this nature.

I explained to her, that what she said to me was not the truth.  And, let her know that I knew of someone who had held a sale, and sold items to people both in our building, and those who do not live here, using the same party room I had arranged to use.

She told me that didn't happen.  I assured her... it did.  How did I know this?  The person who had held this sale, told me she did it (before I knew her and lived here)!

In any case, I received a letter from the Board of Directors, letting me know that I was not allowed to host the gift sale.

This meant, I had to cancel an ad I posted.  Plus, I had to e-mail everyone involved, to cancel with them.

By the time I was done, I had to head out to go to my daughter P's.  I had been invited for dinner, and to celebrate D's birthday.

We had a great time together, celebrating with a delectable meal, and a delicious homemade birthday cake!  Thank you, P!  It was so wonderful spending time with each of you, my family.  And, it was wonderful to celebrate D's birthday!

P hasn't been feeling well, lately.  She's my daughter who has Lupus.  So, when she doesn't feel well, this can become rather dangerous.

As I was leaving, I began to pray for P, once again.  She truly needs healing.

Believe me when I say I pray for her, for all my family and friends, daily.  But, when someone isn't well, I pray more often.

After all, God said we should be in a mode of prayer, continually.

Like He told us, in 1 Thessalonians 5:1, "Pray without ceasing."

This is something I find to be easy for me to do.  Praying constantly, I mean.

I'm grateful that God has provided for me, to be able to do this.

Yes, I am praying that God will help me and my fellow authors and other friends to be able to locate a place for us to hold our sale.  Even if the date becomes changed.

But, of more importance, is the fact that I pray for my family, friends, and even... you.  For nothing is more important than praying for those we care about.

In addition, I pray for our Christian family around the world.  And, for those, who work for our Lord, whether they are in paid ministry, or not.

Also, I pray that anyone who is not yet saved, will come to Christ, today.  Tomorrow may be too late, for them to gain salvation.  So they need to trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, now.

Hopefully, you are trusting in/believing upon Jesus, now.  If not, I'll be praying for you.

Until next time...
