Just as I've discussed in the past, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), God helped me through this past weekend.
If you haven't read LwL entries over the past few days, I would suggest you do so. This way, you'll understand what I am referring to.
Even if my life were to change, I do not believe I could ever spend our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, being 100% happy. Not, with memories about what happened in my past.
No matter what though, I am thankful. Truly thankful.
Just as God told us to be, in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
How grateful I am to Him.
He helps me, always. He helps me deal with those life issues that are heartbreaking. Even if they sometimes happen during times that are meant to be celebrations.
The joy I have in my heart for Him, always helps me to celebrate. Whether with others. Or, alone.
Just so you know, I was truly blessed by my family, on Sunday and on Monday.
On both Sunday and Monday, I visited and enjoyed dinner with one of my daughters and her family. For this, I am truly thankful.
Even though part of the weekend was a sad time when my heart was breaking, God provided for me. He provided a way for me to not only feel thankful during our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, but to also feel thankful for the love of my family.
To all my family that lives here in my city, I want you to know I love you. And, I thank you very much.
I feel badly that I am still not strong enough to be able to lift a turkey, and other foods and dishes. However, I am thankful that you showed me love, and cared for me.
For this, I will always be thankful. To my family. And, to God.
Thank you, Lord. Thank you for everything You do for me. And, for how You provide through others, for me.
I know You love me. And, I love You. In fact, my love for You... and my family, will never die.
Until next time...
