Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL), I would like to wish my grandson A, a very Happy Birthday! May God bless you on this, your special day... and, always!
Just as I said yesterday, here on LwL, I went to worship.
It was wonderful meeting with my fellow Christians. Especially, to worship!
Of course, I did attend our Bible study, that happens, before our worship service. :) Like normal, it was wonderful!
After our worship service, I did not go immediately home.
Instead, I joined my brothers and sisters in the Lord, and all their family members, who shared our pot-luck lunch. I must admit, it was a wonderful time of fun, food, and fellowship!
At the end of our luncheon, we had a membership meeting. It didn't take long. We reviewed our status, finances, and budget for the year. It seems we are doing well. For this, I praise God!
Things happened during my time with my church family, that encouraged me.
Not only did pastor Tom remark about how happy he was that I had prayed and given my testimony, last Thursday evening, for the group that met at our church building. But, an Elder did, also. This was in addition to having a few people approach me and let me know they had heard that I had done a wonderful job, speaking and singing.
Of course, I felt like there were ways I could have improved what I had done, but still... it was a blessing, being encouraged by others. Thank you, so very much, my family! May God bless you...
In case you're not aware, I included a gospel message, during my speaking time. Just as I always do.
This brought to mind, Romans 1:15-16, "So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
Just as we read in these verses, like many others of the past, and of the present, I am ready to preach the gospel. To all. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. It is definitely the power of God unto salvation, to all who believeth. Praise God. Hallelujah!
I would like to thank all, who attended that prayer evening.
Especially, those friends of mine, who do not worship with me, at Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church (www.gowebc.com). Like the women who I originally met when we attended grief counselling about four and a half (4 1/2) years ago. Like some friends of mine, who I see fairly often. And, like my publisher, who had asked me in the past, if I still spoke and sang.
To all who are my church family, I thank you, also. I'll look forward to each of you giving your testimony, at some point in the future!
Until next time...
