Glory & Honour...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'm encouraging you to check out what is being discussed, today.

A while back, a friend sent me a link to a Youtube video entitled, Flash Mob by Journey of Faith at Galleriahttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vnt7euRF5Pg&feature=player_embedded  It is one of the best video's I've seen that honoured Jesus!  I pray you're as blessed as I was, watching it.

I suppose you can guess that this entry is about exactly that.  Honouring Jesus.

One of my Facebook (FB) friends, Dave Roberts, was originally from Australia, but now lives with his wife, in England.  His on-line ministry Partakers is a great asset to those who value cyber-missions.

Who would use a cyber-ministry?

Well firstly, there are those who are not ambulatory; those who cannot get themselves physically to go worship.  In addition, in this day and age, there are many who have trouble finding a place to worship, where God's word is being preached.  Truly being preached.

If you are one who is looking for a supplement for your already worshipful life, you may find it with Dave.  Here is a link to one of his sermons:    http://davegroberts.podbean.com/2012/01/08/serving-in-gods-orchestra-of-joy/

In my opinion, Dave Roberts is a true man of God, whose hearts desire is to do what God called him to do.  Preach the Gospel, of course.  But also, to encourage and teach God's children, as they walk through the trials of this life.

Of course, we are all called to do what Dave does.  Even if we are not a pastor.  Even if we are not in paid ministry.  After all, those of us who are saved, and who are obedient to God's calling, want to do exactly what Dave Roberts does; use our gifts and talents for the glory of God.

Which is exactly the reason I wrote the book Love Never Fails You...

If people think I wrote the book to obtain fame and fortune, they would be wrong.  In fact, anyone who has ever written a book and self-published, knows that fame and fortune are usually elusive.

From extensive research and from attending a conference on self-publishing, hosted by a woman who was experienced in such, I knew this even before I began writing.  Even before I began writing this blog, Life with Lynnie, which was originally born to be about my travelling and life issues; of course, God has used it differently than I expected.  But then, He is in control!

Does this mean God can't use my blog or my book?

Of course not!  He can and will use them, just as He inspired me to write both.  They will be used to preach the gospel, and provide comfort and encouragement to those who are experiencing life's trials and/or grief.

In fact, God has blessed me by allowing me to hear from some people who have read Love Never Fails You... www.lynniebooks.blogspot.com who have been blessed themselves, by reading it.  Thank You, Lord!

Believe me when I say that if God had not inspired me to write the book, it would not have been written.

I was not looking for my own glory and honour.  Nor for fame and riches.

The glory and honour I have, is for my Lord, Jesus Christ.  Not for me.

Just as we read in John 8:54, "Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:"

As we read, if I honour myself, my honour is nothing.

God honours His children.  Like me, who knows that He is my God.

Yes, I wrote about some trials of my life, including my husband's illness and death.

This was not a comprehensive account of my life.  It was not my full life's story.  I did not write about all of my life's trials.  Nor would I want to.  The truth is, I've experienced some trials even more serious than the ones I wrote about.

However, God led me to break my heart once again, reliving those difficult moments that contributed to me becoming the person He called me to be; those issues that were written about so that others can see that there is no pit too deep that God cannot help us out of.

I pray that all who read my words, will be truly blessed.

Until next time...
