As in the past, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I will let you know that it is important for me to go to worship with my church family.  So, I'm going!

Yes, I will worship Him in spirit and in truth.  But, also through music.

A hymn came to mind, written by Joachim Neander (Neumann) and is entitled, Praise to the Lord, the Almighty.  Here is a link for you to listen to the music alone and/or sing along:  The updated version of this hymn's lyrics are below.

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
The King of creation
O my soul praise Him
For He is thy health and salvation
All ye who hear
Now to His temple draw near
Join me in glad adoration

Praise to the Lord
Who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth
Shelters thee under His wings
Yeah, so gently surstaineth
Hast thou not seen
How all thy longings have been
Granted in what He ordaineth

Praise to the LORD,
who doth prosper
Thy work and defend thee
Surely His goodness and mercy
Here daily attend thee
Ponder anew What the Almighty can do
If with His love He befriend thee.

Praise to the Lord,
O let all that is in me adore Him
All that hath life and breath
Come now with praises before Him
Let the “amen”

Sound from His people again
Gladly forever adore Him

It is amazing to me that even though these are not the original lyrics, an updated version is still being sung.  It's still being sung here on earth, to worship God!  Hallelujah!

Thinking about this hymn brought to mind, Hebrews 13:15, "By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."

After all, we need to do what God's Word, the Bible, tells us we should do.  We need to offer the sacrifice of praise to Him, continually.  This is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to Him!

Hopefully, you also went to meet with fellow Christians, or your church family, to worship Him.  By doing so, you'll honour Him.  And, you'll be blessed.

Until next time...
