A few days ago, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I requested prayer for Asia Bibi.
She's the Christian woman, who is awaiting death. Death, because the Muslims who have her imprisoned her, convicted her of blasphemy.
Had Asia done what they accused her of? Only God knows for sure.
Chances are, she didn't.
Why do I think this? Well, anyone who has read LwL's entry about her in the past, knows that I receive e-mail from the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).
Here is an e-mail I received yesterday, from ACLJ:
Asia Bibi may die for an act of kindness.
A Pakistani Christian mother of five, she offered a cup of water to a Muslim neighbor.
For that, Asia Bibi was called “unclean,” and her Christian faith “filthy.”
Then, when she defended her faith and refused to convert to Islam, she was sentenced to death.
We must stand with Asia. At the ACLJ, we’re mobilizing our resources worldwide to plead her case, but we need your help:
Sign the Petition: Spare Asia Bibi’s Life.
ACLJ Chief Counsel
How awful I feel for Asia Bibi. And, for other fellow Christians who are imprisoned, because they are Christian.
Believe me when I say I pray for them, daily. I do. And hopefully, you do, also.
As we read, Asia Bibi did not do something to hurt a Muslim. Not to anyone, really. Not even to God!
All she did was give a Muslim neighbour a cup of water.
A cup of water?!
Thinking about a cup of water, brought to mind a couple of Bible verses. The verse I decided to use today, is Matthew 9:41, "For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward."
What Asia Bibi did, was not offensive. Even if she weren't Christian, she would have been doing an honourable and loving thing, to help someone else.
But, Muslims do not think this way. They look for any reason they can to hurt others. And, murder them. Like they plan to do to Asia Bibi.
How evil is that?!
To be honest, I praise God that Asia Bibi is a sister in the Lord. For even if those Muslims do what they claim they will do, and murder her, she will be blessed to spend eternity in Heaven with our Lord.
Still, she is a mom.
Do you not think that being imprisoned, she misses her children? Do you not think her children miss her?
I believe they do, for a mother's love for her children, never dies. And, children need and love their parents.
Asia Bibi needs to be released! Please, do whatever you can to help her be released.
Sign the ACLJ petition. Speak up and out to others, and share the need to have that ACLJ petition signed.
Whatever else you think you can do, please do it.
And, please... make sure you pray.
Thank you. May God bless you, my friend.
Until next time...
