Like I mentioned here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, I went to worship with my church family.

Normally, I arrive early enough to fully attend our Bible study class.  But, that didn't happen yesterday.  I was late.  :(

Being only a few minutes late, I only had to catch up a tiny bit.  For this, I praise God!

I feel truly blessed.  Not just being able to attend Bible study with our pastor Tom, where I worship at Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church, although I must admit, I truly enjoy doing this.

My church family is truly a loving group of people.

After our worship service, where our pastor Tom preached another wonderful Biblical message, we made our way downstairs, once again.

This time, we weren't there for Bible study purposes.  This time, we were there to share time with each other, participating in our pot-luck luncheon.

This may not sound like much of a good thing, to some people, but to me, it is wonderful.

Of course, I enjoy having a meal with friends.  But, I must admit, this gives me a very different feeling, being able to spend time with my brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Yes, our meal was delicious.  We had some very tasty food.

I must admit, the time we spent together, meant so much to me.  And, it was a good thing for me to participate in.  For this, I am truly thankful!

Thinking about this, reminded me of Deuteronomy 26:11, "And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you."

Just as read in this verse, we need to rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God has given us, unto our house/family, us, and even strangers that may be among us.

When I reflect upon my life, it isn't always good.  However, when I reflect upon how loving God has been to me, I am so very thankful.  And, always will be.

Are you thankful?

Are you rejoicing, even in the troubles you are suffering in life?

Hopefully, you are.  After all, God did tell us to live our lives this way.

Even if we don't like the troubles we are going through, we need to be obedient to His calling.  Always.

Until next time...
