Just as I said I would, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, I went and worshipped with my church family.
Like usual, I arrived earlier than our worship service time. This way, I could participate in our Bible study time.
I must admit that I was truly happy, when I entered our fellowship room!
There was our Bible study leader/teacher W, who had only been released from hospital a few days ago. Again, I must thank you God... and you my friend, for praying for W. I praise God for providing healing for him!
Please understand, W wasn't teaching our class. He was just standing up, at the back of the room. Even so, I was so grateful to see him! And, grateful that God answered our prayer of healing for W.
After our Pastor Tom finished our Bible study class, we all made our way upstairs, to enter the sanctuary.
I'm not sure if you feel this way when you enter your sanctuary, but I feel so wonderful when I do this. It makes me feel like I'm at home. At home, with God.
Our pastor preached a wonderful sermon. Just like he always does.
Afterwards, I had an errand to do, on my way home.
When I entered my apartment, I noticed I had messages on my answering machine. After I listened to one (1) message, I went to listen to another, but did something really stupid.
I clicked on the wrong button. Instead of saving my messages, they were erased.
Hopefully, the people who left messages for me will call back!
Knowing my friend L had called, I returned her call. And, I had a call from a senior fellow G, who lives in my building.
G wanted to remind me that our pool was closing, Monday.
He was hoping I would go into the pool, with him. This would prevent either of us from getting in trouble with those in charge, since we are not supposed to enter the pool, alone.
Even though it was rather cool, I agreed to do this, since our pool is heated. Of course, it was rather cool getting out and getting dried off! Even so, I was happy to be able to do some pool exercise.
Believe it or not, I actually did a little more exercise than I have been doing, recently. Although I still am not able to do all the exercise that I used to do, prior to my surgeries over the past two (2) years, I found I was able to add another couple. Hallelujah!
Afterwards I hurt a bit more than normal. :(
This means I must take it easy, and not over do things. After all, I do not want to have any further surgery, other than the upcoming operation I need to have. :(
Of course, I am not in control. God is. So, I won't worry about this.
Just as He told us, in Matthew 6:34, "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
There's no need to think about what will happen in the future. Tomorrow, will bring with it, whatever God allows in our lives. And, whatever Satan throws at us.
As the verse says... sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Yes, we face evilness. Each and every day.
While God is in control, He allows us to make choices in our lives. Sometimes, we make good choices. Other times, we do not.
Living in this world, Satan's domain, we know that we will be attacked. Think about this.
Satan doesn't need to attack those who belong to him. He only attacks those who belong to God.
So, if you have a personal relationship with Jesus, and have gained eternal life, by trusting in/believing upon Him, please understand that you WILL be attacked by Satan. At least, while living here in this world.
Even so, God provides for us... protects us. And, loves us.
Until next time...
