Glenn... & I Will...

Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I'd like to say that if my brother Glenn were still alive, it would be his birthday, today.  My heart is filled with grief and love for him.  I miss my brother, and am looking forward to seeing him once again, in heaven.

Just like most other SONdays, I'm letting you know that I'll be heading to worship with my church family.  After being unable to do so for such a long time, it is truly a blessing to me!

With my brothers and sisters in the Lord, I'll be worshipping in spirit and in truth.  And, through music.

A hymn that came to mind is one that I enjoy.

It is written by Philip P. Bliss and Rowland H. Prichard, and is entitled, I Will Sing Of My Redeemer.  Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SN1H3kWwU9g.  The lyrics are below.

I Will Sing Of My Redeemer

I will sing of my Redeemer
And His wondrous love to me;
On the cruel cross He suffered
From the curse to set me free.

Sing, oh sing, of my Redeemer,
With His blood He purchased me.
On the cross He sealed my pardon,
Paid the debt and made me free.

I will tell the wondrous story
How, my lost estate to save,
In His boundless love and mercy,
He the ransom freely gave.

Sing, oh sing, of my Redeemer,
With His blood He purchased me.
On the cross He sealed my pardon,
Paid the debt and made me free.

I will praise my dear Redeemer;
His triumphant power I'll tell,
How the victory He giveth
Over sin and death and hell.

Sing, oh sing, of my Redeemer,
With His blood He purchased me.
On the cross He sealed my pardon,
Paid the debt and made me free.

I will sing of my Redeemer
And His heavenly love to me;
He from death to life hath brought me,
Son of God, with Him to be.

Sing, oh sing, of my Redeemer,
With His blood He purchased me.
On the cross He sealed my pardon,
Paid the debt and made me free.

Oh yes, I will.  I will sing of my Redeemer and will praise Him, always.

I will tell the wondrous story of how He suffered and died for me.  All due to His love for me.

On the cross He paid my debt and made me free.

Thinking of how Jesus made me free, brought to mind Romans 6:22-23, "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Yes, He made me free from sin.  I became a servant of God.  Just as you can probably tell from my writings.

I've obtained everlasting life.  For this, I praise God!

After all, just as we read in today's verses, the wages of sin is death.  But, the gift of God is eternal life through who?  Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Jesus is definitely my Lord.  Is He yours, also?

Hopefully, so!  If not, you'll spend eternity in hell, separated from God... with no chance of escape.

If you're like me and trust in/believe upon Jesus Christ, then we'll meet up one day.  In heaven.

For this, I'll always be thankful.  Hallelujah!

Until next time...
