I must admit, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), that last week was really a special week. At least, for me.
Of course, you may get the impression that I thought this way, due to having my television (TV) reception restored. While that is true, that is not the only reason that I feel last week was special.
Something I haven't really discussed here on LwL, is the reason why I self-published the book I authored, Love Never Fails You... Check it out on this link: http://lynniebooks.blogspot.ca/.
Prior to writing and publishing it, I had attended a few informative meetings with regards to publishing. Through these meetings, I found out for certain that any time someone signs a contract with a publishing company, the publishing company has the right to change anything written in the book.
To me, this meant that it may not be a good thing to use a publishing company. After all, we true Christians realize that by changing a word here, or there, can absolutely change the meaning of what we are writing about.
So, that's why I never used a publisher, and self-published.
After being sick and having repeated surgeries over the past couple of years, I realized that I have not been able to promote Love Never Fails You... At least, not the way I had hoped to do, because I wasn't physically able to do so.
Recently, a fellow author H, found out that there was a publishing company who had an office in our area. She met with the publisher. And, signed a publishing agreement with them.
H let me know that the publisher was Christian.
OOOOOOoooooohhhh! Be still my heart!
This made me very happy, hearing this. Why? Because, I had recently been praying that God would lead me to know what to do about promoting Love Never Fails You...
After receiving the publishing company's link to their website, I messaged them.
Upon receiving a response, we set up a meeting time. Actually, we met three (3) times over the past couple of weeks.
The publisher had checked out Love Never Fails You... prior to our meetings. And, had encouraged me to work with them.
Then, last Friday, we signed an agreement. The publishing company I'm working with now, is Didymus Prime. Here's a link to their site: http://didymusprime.com/#
My friend A, came with me last Friday, September 19th when I signed the contract. Thank you, A! :)
The fellow I'll be working with T, discussed with me several things that we'll be looking into, regarding publishing and promoting of Love Never Fails You...
Not only will there be another printing in English be made, but it will be translated into other languages, and promoted around the world. In addition, not only will it be available as an e-book, as it is already, it will become an audio book, as well.
I must admit, this was truly an answer to prayer. For this, I thank You, Lord!
This was obviously His will for my life. Not just mine. After all, I was happy just promoting Love Never Fails You... whenever I could!
Thinking about this, brought to mind, Philippians 4:11, "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."
Yes, I was content. I was happy with what I had been doing.
Even though I had felt like promotion hadn't been strong, during the last couple of years, when I was so unhealthy, I was grateful God had provided for me.
He provided for me, by having those who have read Love Never Fails You... contact me, and let me know their reviews. Every one was encouraging to me. Thank you, to all who have done this.
And, thank You, Lord!
How amazing it is that I wrote Love Never Fails You... to encourage people going through life's troubles/trials and grief. While this has worked well in helping others, the responses I've received have truly been encouraging to me. For this, I am and always will be... grateful.
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
