An Encouragement?

Just as I said I would yesterday, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I went and worshipped with my church family, at our home church building of Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church:  www.gowebc.com

I'm sure that by now, you've heard me say that many, many times.  But, I am truly grateful to be able to do this!

Like normal, I met with my brothers and sisters in the Lord, earlier than the time for our worship service.  Today, our pastor taught our Bible study class, just as he has done recently.

This coming week, our usual Bible study teacher W, will be released from hospital.  Hopefully, he'll be well enough soon to take over our class, once again.  Thank you to all who have been praying for W.  May God bless you...

Being the first SONday of the month, we not only worshipped during our regular service, but also had a communion service.

For this, I praise God!  After all, He told us to do so, in remembrance of Him.  What a blessing it is!

After the service, as I was leaving the sanctuary, I shook hands with my pastor.  He said something to me that surprised me.

Pastor Tom let me know that I was an encouragement to him, his wife L, and to many others that he knows.

This shocked me, to hear this.  In response, I asked him to explain to me, how/why he felt that way.

Pastor Tom let me know that because of my knowledge of Bible verses, and a few other things, he and others saw me as being an encouragement to them.

Hearing this, I thanked him.  And, didn't comment any further on his compliment.  Yes, we did discuss something else, but nothing more about me being an encouragement to others.

Thinking of what happened, and what I heard, made me think about Bible verses.

One (1) that came to mind, was 1 Thessalonians 5:11, "Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do."

I must admit, it was comforting to hear this, from my pastor.

After all, I do everything within my power, to provide comfort to others, and to edify others, through Bible study discussions, plus through my writings, providing all the encouragement I can.  In everything I do, I try to encourage others, for I know that life is not easy.  But, God is good.

For this, I praise God.  And, always will!

God is always there for me.  And, for you too, if you belong to Him.  If you have come to a saving relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Have you?

Many people have read God's Word, the Bible.  Many are knowledgeable in many things.  But, many do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

By having a personal relationship with Jesus, He provides eternal salvation to the person who is trusting in/believing upon Him.

If you haven't yet done so, I pray that He will bring you to your knees, so that you will call out unto Him.  For when you do, if you are not already saved, you will be.

Once you've gained salvation, even if we don't meet here on earth, we'll meet up in heaven.  Hopefully, I'll see you, there.

Until next time...
