Love...

Just as recently discussed a few times here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I will be going to worship with my church family, today.

I am always inspired to get together with brothers and sisters in the Lord.  Of course, especially on our Lord's Day!

Lately, I've felt like I've been on a roller coaster of love.

Lack of love, by missing my deceased husband, Gordon.  And, feeling loved by my daughter B, who showed me love by taking me out to dinner, on the sad day of what would have been Gordon's birthday.

I am looking forward to meeting with my church family, to worship.  It's my love for God that makes me want to do this.

With regards to love, I thought of a hymn that is lovely, and heartfelt.  At least, to me.

It was written by William Rees (trans. William Williams) and Robert Lowry.  It's entitled, Here is Love.  On this link, it is being sung by Robin Markhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8YOPj5TnUM.  Hopefully, you'll listen and/or sing along.  The lyrics are below.

Here is Love

Here is love, vast as the ocean
Loving kindness as the flood
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom
Shed for us His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten
Throughout heaven's eternal days.

On the mount of crucifixion
Fountains opened deep and wide.
Through the floodgates of God's mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love like mighty rivers
Poured incessant from above.
And heaven's peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love.

Here is love, vast as the ocean
Loving kindness as the flood
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom
Shed for us His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten
Throughout heaven's eternal days.

On the mount of crucifixion
Fountains opened deep and wide.
Through the floodgates of God's mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love like mighty rivers
Poured incessant from above.
And heaven's peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love.

Grace and love like mighty rivers
Poured incessant from above.
And heaven's peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love.

Here are other verses that were not recorded on that YouTube link:

In Your truth You will direct me,
By Your Spirit through Your word.
And Your grace my need is meeting
As I trust in You my Lord.
Of Your fullness You are pouring
Your great love on me anew.
Without measure, full and boundless,
Drawing out my heart to You.

Let me all Your love accepting
Love You ever all my days.
Let me seek Your kingdom only
And my life be to Your praise.
You alone will be my glory,
Nothing in the world I seek.
You have cleansed and sanctified me.
You Yourself have set me free.

Yes, He has set me free.  He's saved me, from spending eternity in Hell, by my trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.  And, has sanctified me.

Of course, I will never be finished being sanctified.  After all, I am no different than anyone else who belongs to Him.

None of us are perfect.  We all are clay, and He is our Potter.

He will mold us.  We will suffer through trials.  And, through this, we will continue to be in the process of sanctification.

Of course, God expects us to be obedient to Him.

One form of obedience, is to gather with our brethren.  And, to worship Him, together.

Just as we read, in Hebrews 10:25, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

We should not forsake gathering together, to worship Him.  Some do, while some do not.

God expects us to exhort one another.  He expects us to lift each other up.

Of course, He lifts us up, by providing for us.  In many ways.  What a blessing!

Until next time...
