On Life with Lynnie (LwL) today, I'll let you know that once again, I'll be enjoying my Lord's Day!

After all, it is SONday.  The day when I'll be heading to worship with my church family!

It truly brings me pleasure in honouring God.  And, worshipping Him in spirit and in truth.

Of course, you're probably aware, that I enjoy music, as well!

The music that came to mind for me to honour Him with today, is by David Morris, and is entitled, Now Unto Him.  Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along:  The lyrics are below.

Please make sure you watch to the very end.  If you do, you'll be encouraged, my friend!

Now Unto Him

Now unto Him who is able
To keep you from falling
And, to make you stand in His presence
Blameless and with great joy.

To the only God, our Saviour,
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
Be the glory and the majesty,
Dominion and authority,
Both now and forever.  Amen!

Now unto Him who is able
To keep you from falling
And, to make you stand in His presence
Blameless and with great joy.
To the only God, our Saviour,
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
Be the glory and the majesty,
Dominion and authority,
Both now and forever.  Amen!

Thinking of this music, reminded me of some Bible verses.  Verses that were probably the basis for the lyrics, as you will see.

The verses are Jude 1:24-25, "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."

Yes, He is the only God.  There is none like Him.

Our Lord keeps us from falling, when we trust in Him.  He presents us faultless.

How does this happen?

It happens simply by trusting in/believing upon Jesus Christ, our Lord.

There is no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).  Saved, from spending eternity in Hell.

So, if you have not yet come to Christ, please do so.  Do this, before it is too late.

Until next time...

AS & FM...

Yesterday, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discussed Lupus.  Today, I'll be discussing Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS).  And, Fibromyalgia (FM).

If you know what AS is, I'll be pleasantly surprised.  Many people do not have any idea what it is.  To help you understand, I'll let you know that it is a rare rheumatoid arthritic disease.

Here is a link, so you can read a bit about AS:

Please watch this short Youtube video.  It is by SPONDYLITISdotORG, and is entitled, Areas of Inflammation in Ankylosing Spondylitis

Here is a link to another YouTube video, by ASsufferer entitled, My life with Ankylosing Spondylitis

Here is a link for you to read about Fibromyalgia (FM):

Some people who suffer from AS, also suffer from FM.  Here is a link for you to read about that fact.  The article is by Spondylitis Association of America and is entitled, Fibromyalgia in Women with Ankylosing Spondylitis

You may wonder why today's topic is about AS.  And, about Fibromyalgia.  To me, it's simple.

I have Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS).  And, I also have Fibromyalgia (FM).

This is not something new for me.  I have had AS and FM for many years, now.

Yes, this has been part of my life, for a very long time.  Long before I even suffered over the past couple of years, having had repeated surgeries/operations.

Anyone who knows me, or has read the book I wrote entitled, Love Never Fails You... knows that I had been in a major collision, back in 1980.  The collision happened when the school bus I was driving, was hit by a tractor-trailer driver.

I suffered many injuries.  Later, I suffered another back injury after Worker's Compensation Board (WCB... known today as Workplace Safety Insurance Board... WSIB) told me I was okay to do any kind of work, when I truly wasn't.

Being diagnosed wasn't easy.  And, it is a rather long story, so I won't discuss it, today.

I will say that when I obtained the diagnosis from a diagnostic specialist in London, Ontario, I was told that had I not had injuries that affected my spine, I could possibly had lived my whole life, without ever having any problems.  It seems the injuries I endured, triggered the AS.

It was upsetting to me, to hear that.  It was also upsetting to hear my family doctor in Windsor, Ontario, tell me that I needed to find another family doctor.

He didn't want anything to do with me, because even though it had been found that women were able to have AS, he didn't believe it.  For years, it was thought that it was a disease that only men got.  :(

The rheumatologist who took care of me, here in Windsor, after I was first diagnosed, did some testing.  Yes, I had the HLA B27 gene.  And, he confirmed that in addition to having AS, I also had FM.

The rheumatoid arthritic inflammation I have affects the spine and other bones (AS).  The same inflammation affects the muscle (FM).  It's truly shocking how inflammation affects both bones and muscle.

For quite a while, I was taking many prescribed medications.  Until they started causing problems for me.

Eventually, I stopped taking them.  Now, I just do vitamin therapy.

I must admit, I am truly grateful that God provided for me, by bringing those special vitamins and minerals, into my life.

And, I'm grateful for the grace God showed me.

Thinking about His grace brought to mind, 2 Corinthians 12:9, "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Yes, God showed me grace.  He helped me.  And, He gave mercy to me.

Life wasn't easy.  But, God was good.  He provided in so many ways.

He helped me by providing me with His strength at times when I was weak.  Weak physically, and emotionally.  Thank You, Lord!

Even though I would like to not suffer with AS or FM, I would rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Just as we read in today's Bible verse.  That's how I feel.

He helps me, daily.  And, has for many a day.

He has shown me grace, as I discussed.  And, I pray He will show you grace.

What do you have to do to receive His grace?  You must be a member of His family.

How do you do this?  As I've said so many times in the past, trust in/believe upon the Lord, Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31).

Until next time...

Yesterday, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discussed Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).  And, how fund-raising is rampant, at the moment.

Something that I failed to mention yesterday, is about how wonderful it is that through all the videos being done, people are getting to understand better how much help is needed.  And, they are becoming educated about what ALS is, and how it affects people.

While I'm happy about that, there is something different I wish I could be happy about.  I wish people were feeling the same about Lupus.

A few years ago, my daughter P and I set up a walk-a-thon, for Lupus.  This was in October, the month for Lupus support.

We even arranged for Tim Horton's to supply hot chocolate and some treats.  For this, we were thankful to them, and to God.

Even though we promoted the event, and asked people to support it, only a few people showed up.

To me, this was upsetting.  After all, those suffering from Lupus, need support.  Just like people suffering from other diseases do.

This is something I will continue praying for.  Support for those suffering from Lupus, and other auto-immune diseases.

Many people have no idea what Lupus is.  Or, how it affects a person.

Here is a link, so you can read about what Lupus is:  Instead of using an information page, I used the Lupus Canada website link.  This way, much more information is available.

Here is another link, where you can easily be informed as to the different types of Lupus:  This article was posted by the Johns Hopkins Lupus Center.

Just to give you an easy to understand idea of what Lupus is and does, I'll tell you a little story.

When a healthy person becomes ill, antibodies waken from within their immune system, and fight off the cells that are making them ill.  This happens with all forms of illness, whether it is infection, virus, or whatever.

Once the healthy person's antibodies have killed off the cells that were making them ill, their body's antibodies go to sleep, until they are needed again, at some point in the future.

However, this does not happen for someone who has Lupus.

When someone with Lupus gets ill, their antibodies within their immune system fight off the cells of virus, infection or whatever, much like they do for a healthy person.

But, instead of those antibodies going to sleep after the fighting is done, they stay awake.  They do not go back to sleep until they are needed, again.

Instead, those antibodies get confused.  They don't realize the unhealthy cells are not there anymore.  So, they continue attacking cells.  Healthy cells.

And, they can attack cells anywhere in a person's body, who has Lupus.

I've met some people who have Lupus.  Some are still alive.  Some have died.  The outcome of the disease much depends upon which type of Lupus the person has.

Please join me in prayer, for those who are suffering from Lupus.  Thank you.  May God bless you.

In case you don't know this, my daughter P, has Lupus.

Please be aware that the type of Lupus she has can end her life.  And, she suffers greatly.

Just like many others do.

Thinking about suffering, made me think of Romans 8:18, "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."

Yes, the sufferings we experience in our lives, are basically nothing to be compared with the glory we will experience, once our lives end, and we spend eternity in Heaven, with God.

This brings up a point I mentioned here on LwL, yesterday.  Where will you spend eternity?

Will you spend eternity in Hell, separated from God?  Or, will you spend eternity in Heaven, with our Lord?

Many people don't know how it can be done, to ensure they spend eternity in Heaven, with God.

It's really very simple.  All we must do, is trust in/believe upon the Lord, Jesus Christ... and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31).

If you haven't yet, come to Christ and gained salvation, I would suggest you do so, today.

Until next time...

H.B. J! & ALS...

Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I'd like to wish my grandson J, a very Happy Birthday!  Hopefully, you'll return home soon, so we can celebrate your special day.

Today, I'll be discussing something that I've never have before.  Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

ALS is a neurodegenerative disease, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.  Here is a link so you can read about it:

Lately, I've seen and heard of many people going through the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (IBC).  This is basically a fundraiser, for ALS.

This fundraiser has literally gone viral.  It's on television (TV) newscasts, and on the internet.

I praise God that many people have been participating in the IBC, for this has helped raise money to help the cause.  In fact, The New York Times, posted an article entitled, Ice Bucket Challenge Donations for A.L.S. Research Top $41 Million

A Facebook (FB) friend F posted two (2) videos, which I also shared/posted so others could watch them.  I'd like to share them with you.

The first video I'm sharing with you, is posted on the internet by and is entitled, Kermit the Frog Takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, on Devour.com

The other video is on Youtube, and is entitled, Pete's Challenge

If you'd like to know more about Pete, here is another Youtube video you can watch/listen to and is entitled, A Life Story Foundation - Pete Frates' Story

Are you shocked by all the videos supporting ALS?  I was!  But, I was also encouraged by this.

I was encouraged, because it seemed that many people wanted to help.  Just as many people want to help those with cancer, as well.

Of course, in God's Word, we see that even all those years ago, there were people who cared for and/or about others.

Like we read, in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

Yes, those who have a good heart will help others, when they are suffering.

But, is this all a person needs to do?  Absolutely, not.

Prayer is needed.  Prayer for healing.  And, prayer for the prospering of the person's soul, just as we read in today's Bible verse.

While many will help financially, not all will help spiritually.  Only those, who are relying on God, will pray.

Are you relying on God?

Are you trusting in Jesus Christ, to save you from spending eternity in Hell... with no chance of escape?

If not, I will suggest you come to Christ, today.  Once you've experienced your last breath, it will be too late.

Until next time...

Mom... & Tell The Truth?!

Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL), I would like to mention that today is the 12th anniversary of my mom's death.  Were she here, I would be very happy.  But, she's not.  Even so, I love her, miss her and think of her, every day.

As I've said before here on LwL, I speak truth.  With regards to God's Word, the Bible.  Also, concerning Islam.

Today, I'll be addressing the issue of those who have converted from Islam to Christianity.  And, the truth that they speak.

Here is something for you to read entitled, An Ex-Muslim's Warning

Some of you may know and understand that it is a dangerous thing to do, for someone to convert from Islam to Christianity.  Even so, people do it.

This next video is entitled Risk taking Christianity:  It will show you just exactly what some of God's children endure, as you will find out how one woman's life was affected.

Even so, we must come to Christ.

Every one of us.  It matters not what religion you have been involved with in the past, or if you have not even believed there is a God.

There is.  And, He is waiting for you.  Not just to come to Christ, but also for you to speak truth.

Just as we're told in Proverbs 12:17-22, "He who speaks truth declares righteousness,
But a false witness, deceit.
18 There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword,
But the tongue of the wise promotes health.
19 The truthful lip shall be established forever,
But a lying tongue is but for a moment.
20 Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
But counselors of peace have joy.
21 No grave trouble will overtake the righteous,
But the wicked shall be filled with evil.
22 Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
But those who deal truthfully are His delight."

One thing that I realize is that Islam does not teach truth.  Nor, does it speak it.  Just as you'll see when you watch this video entitled, Why Palestinians Want This Video Removed

I am grateful for Armageddon News who posted this Youtube video entitled, Mark of the Beast Islamic Connection Part 1 & 2

You see, whether or not you believe it, our world will change.  Just as God told us it will.  All you need to do is read the Bible and believe what you read, and you will understand.

The fact of the matter is, that God is in control.

We have no control over anything in this world.  Except for our commitment to our Lord.

There is no way that I would ever want to be the person who oppresses God's truth.  It is my heart's desire to be a delight to our Lord.

If you haven't thought about this, please do so.

After all, there are many who refuse to even speak up, to this regard.  And, never even mention our Lord Jesus' name, during their daily life.

Just remember that one day, each of us will stand before Him, in judgement.  Think about where you'd like to be, afterwards.  Heaven?  Or, Hell?

God knows the end from the beginning.  He already knows where you'll be.  But, you need to make a decision.

The choice is truly yours, to trust in Jesus for your salvation and be committed to Him.

Until next time...

Shocking. But, Wonderful!

Today, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I will give you an idea of how my weekend improved, after what happened last Friday, with finding my friend Mike, dead.

For the rest of Friday, I felt like I was in shock.  And, had a terrible headache.

While I hadn't mentioned this to you until now, I had been working all week long, laying out birthday and Christmas gifts, for all family and friends I celebrate with.

I know.  That's probably shocking to you!  Especially, since it is still summertime!

However, knowing that I have a habit of preparing early in the year, I wanted to become prepared, just as I normally do.  Especially, since I have about 25 people to wrap gifts for, for both their birthdays and Christmas!

The reason I normally do this early, is because throughout the fall, I'm normally busy.  Not just working.  But, preparing gifts and cards for many other people.

Of course, I'm still not back to work selling real estate, but I still have to do what I do every year.  Plus, with recovering from surgery still, being in weakened condition, and with muscles still hurting, I knew it would take me quite some time to not only get organized, but also have this huge job completed!

I praise God for helping me!  I got it done!  Well, except for all the cards I need to write.  That will be done soon, I'm sure.

Earlier this week, our pool had been shut down.  First, our heater stopped working.  Then, somehow a nearby planter somehow left the concrete and made its home in the pool water.

When it was shut, I thought that possibly the pool would be closed for the season.  Especially, since our weather has not been as hot, as in other years.

But, when I was leaving to worship with my church family, I saw a sign in the lobby stating that the pool was open.  I praised God... even aloud!

Later that afternoon, when the temperature rose, I got my bathing suit on, and headed down to the pool.  I had called the fellow in his 80's, that had been my pool partner, recently.  But, there was no answer.

I prayed that there would be someone in the pool area, so I would be able to go into the warm water, do some exercise and relax a bit.  There was!

Again, I praised God!

After all, He had helped me physically do the things that I had hoped to do.  Even though my body is not yet fully healed.

Thinking about my body brought to mind 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."

Even though my body is sort of... mine, it is truly a temple of the Holy Ghost... or Holy Spirit, as most people say, today.  It belongs to God, and is not truly my own.

So, it's easy to understand why and how God helped me through the physical work I had been doing.  And, allowed me to utilize the pool water, to not only do minor exercise in, but also relax in.

I'm sure you can understand why I was thankful to Him!

Since I was bought with a price... paid by my Lord, Jesus Christ, when He came to earth, suffered and died on a wooden cross for my sin, and the sin of the world... of all who will believe, I was truly thankful.  And, glorified God, by praising Him.

Do you thank God?

Hopefully, you are one of His children.  And hopefully, you do thank Him.

For everything.

The good.  The not so good.  And, the indifferent.

Until next time...

If you've read Life with Lynnie (LwL) for any amount of time, you'll know that on SONday's I go to worship God.  And, yesterday I did!

Like normal, I got there earlier than our worship service time.  Although I was a few minutes late for the start of our Bible study session, they had just begun.  So, I felt like I was almost on time!

It was wonderful seeing our Bible study teacher.  He had been away for over six (6) weeks, with his family.  They visited relatives in Indonesia.

A few months ago, a fellow I knew named Mike, had wanted to see what it was like to worship at a Baptist church.  So, he came to our worship service, one Sunday.

Afterwards, we had a pot-luck luncheon, and Mike joined us.

During that time of fellowship and good food, many people came to speak with Mike.  Like my pastor, some friends, and our Bible study teacher, W.

W and Mike had quite a conversation.  W was previously a Muslim and converted many years ago.

Mike had been raised Catholic.  However, he had an experience with someone within the Catholic church that turned him right off.  So, he decided that God didn't exist and decided to become an atheist.

Part of me wondered why Mike would want to see what it was like to worship at a Baptist church.  Of course, he had never before been with a Baptist church family.

However, I wondered if possibly God was leading him back to Christianity.

Just so you know, Mike and I did not have a relationship of any kind, other than just being friends.  In the spring, he got angry with me for talking about God, and our differences in thinking made him not speak with me for a while.

You may recall reading that I had a van problem a while back.  And, a fellow showed up to drive my daughter B and I to her vehicle.  That was Mike.

After that, I heard from him off and on.

He was looking for information about being on dialysis.  His doctor told him he needed to have dialysis three (3) times a week.  Yet, it hadn't begun.

About a week and a half ago, he called me and let me know he wanted me to list his house for sale.  I thanked him, but had to explain that although I am still am a licensed realtor and must pay all the fees associated with my licensing, I felt I was still not well enough to return to work.

So, I mentioned that I have a friend who works for the same broker as I do.  L is someone I've known since I was first licensed in 1988.

He agreed to meet with her, last Tuesday.  But, he wanted me there, also.

Mike explained that since he's carrying around so much extra fluid in his body, that he was having trouble walking, and was continually out of breath.  He let me know his front door would be unlocked, and if he didn't answer the bell or knocking, it would probably be because he was having trouble on the staircase.

I asked him over and over, if he would let me take him to the hospital.  Even when we met with L, when she listed his house for sale.

His answer was always... NO!  He wanted to wait until after he saw his heart specialist, which he was scheduled for last Friday.

Last Thursday evening, he called me.  During our conversation, he asked me if I would drive him to his heart specialist's appointment, the next morning.  I agreed to do this for him.

Friday morning, I called him just before I left home, and left a message letting him know I was on my way to pick him up.  Upon arrival, there was no answer.

So, I took his mail out of his mailbox, and opened the door to enter his home.  After placing his mail on his kitchen table, I called out his name, over and over.  No reply.

I exited the house, and called L, asking her to come over immediately.  She lives close by, but I could hear the water running, as she was in the shower.  Even so, she let me know she'd be there as soon as she could.

Meanwhile, I saw a neighbour outside and asked him if he would go into the house with me to check on Mike.  I explained that although I was improving, I was still having trouble climbing multiple stairs and was still weak after having that major surgery.  He agreed.

At the bottom of the staircase, we both called out Mike's name.  No answer.

The fellow went up the stairs; I climbed only a few stairs.  From upstairs, he looked at me and said that Mike wasn't in any bedroom.

But then, he saw Mike laying on the floor in the bathroom.  He couldn't tell if Mike was breathing, or not.

I called 911.

The Fire and Rescue truck arrived before the Ambulance.  Then, the Police arrived.

Questioning of both this fellow and I, happened repeatedly.  Then, each of us had to separately give a report that was taken in a police vehicle.

Afterwards, the officer who took the report went into the house.  He came out and told us that Mike could not be resuscitated.  He was dead.

This was stressful and upsetting to me.  Not because we had some sort of relationship, because we did not!  We were just friends.

My first thought was that Satan had truly had his way, with Mike.  Sigh...

I wished that Mike had been in a relationship with Jesus Christ.  And, I silently wished that Satan had stayed out of Mike's life.

Almost like what we read in Matthew 4:10, "Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."

I commented that knowing Mike had died, was upsetting to me, because of his relationship with God.  Or, maybe I should say... lack, thereof.

We discussed the situation, and I explained what Mike had told me, about his walking away from God, in the past.

The officer remarked that Mike had been found laying on the floor, face down.  He commented that if Mike had laid there still alive, he would have had time to call out to God.

That's when I said that I had written about that issue recently on LwL (re:  Robin Williams), and stated that God told us in His Word, the Bible that whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved (Romans 10:13).

The police officer speaking with us, was obviously Christian.  For this, I praised God.

We agreed, that Mike may be in Hell.  Or, he may be in Heaven... if he had cried out to our Lord, after he collapsed/fell.

No one here on earth, knows.  Only God knows where Mike is, now.

Friend, I thank you for reading LwL.  And, I pray that you have a relationship with my Lord, Jesus Christ.

For, if you do, you are saved from spending eternity in Hell.  And, I will be able to one day meet you, in Heaven.

Until next time...

Love for...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I will once again let you know that I'll be heading to worship with my church family.

Today, is our Lord's Day.  SONday.

So, what else could I possibly do, other than go to worship God in spirit and in truth?  And, through music!

Music fills my heart, mind and soul.  And, I'm grateful that I can use it, to honour Him.

The music for today that I thought about, is by Charles Gabriel, and is entitled, My Saviour's Love.  Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along:  The lyrics are below.

My Saviour's Love

I stand amazed in the presence
of Jesus the Nazarene
And wonder how He could love me,
A sinner, condemned unclean.

How marvelous, how wonderful!
And, my song shall ever be:
How marvelous, how wonderful
Is my Saviour's love for me!

For me it was in the garden
He prayed, "Not my will, but Thine."
He had no tears for His own griefs,
But sweat drops of blood for mine.

How marvelous, how wonderful!
And, my song shall ever be:
How marvelous, how wonderful
Is my Saviour's love for me!

(This verse is part of the music, but is not on this recording...
He took my sins and my sorrows;
He made them His very own.
He bore the burden to Calv'ry
And suffered and died alone.

How marvelous, how wonderful!
And, my song shall ever be:
How marvelous, how wonderful
Is my Saviour's love for me!)

When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
'Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.

How marvelous, how wonderful!
And, my song shall ever be:
How marvelous, how wonderful
Is my Saviour's love for me!

Yes, how marvelous!  And, how wonderful... is my Saviour's love for me!

Whenever I think of this, I think of John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Oh... how wonderful it is that God loved the world so much, that He sent His only begotten Son, to earth, in the form of a man.

How marvelous it is, that Jesus fulfilled the plan of redemption God had for us.  In His obedience, he not only came to earth, but suffered and died on a wooden cross, for the sin of the world... of all who will believe upon Him.

For this, I am, and always will be eternally grateful.

Hopefully, you are trusting in/believing upon the Lord, Jesus Christ for your salvation, too.  For if you are, then you will spend eternity in Heaven with God, and not in Hell.

Until next time...

Canadian Internment Camps & My Grandpa... 100 Years Ago!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be discussing something that happened 100 years ago, yesterday.

While I knew about the issue I'll be discussing, I was never sure exactly when it began.  At least, until I watched the television (TV) news, last evening.

Having never seen any news items about this in the past, it made my heart skip a beat.  I was totally surprised.

You see, it was the 100th anniversary of the WW1 internment camps, here in Canada.

Why is this important to me?  Well, it's due to the fact that my paternal grandfather spent time in an internment camp in the Province of Quebec.

My grandpa was from Bukovina.  At least, that is what the area was called in Eastern Europe, until 1918.  Here is a link for you to read about it:

Upon arriving in Canada at Quebec City, he met the woman he fell in love with, that he eventually married.  She was from Northern Ireland.  Yes, she later became my paternal granny.

She became employed in Montreal.  So, he followed her, there.

Being trained as a chef in Bukovina, he was employed for a while.  He was an intelligent fellow, who spoke six (6) languages.

His ability to speak many languages led to him being reported to the Canadian government, as a possible enemy alien

This happened after the War Measures Act was brought into force.  Here is a link so you can read about it:

Eventually, my granny was able to marry my grandpa.  His time in the internment/concentration camp, ended.

Due to WW1 taking place, countries in Eastern Europe had their borders changed.

Bukovina was divided up.  Where my grandpa was from, was only a few miles north of the southern border of Ukraine.  So today, he would be considered Ukrainian.  Part of his family lived a few miles apart, and with the border change became known as Romanian, for where they lived became part of Romania.

To be honest, most people I know had never known about internment camps being here in Canada.  So, it was surprising to me to see that the 100th anniversary of when they began, was acknowledged.

Here is a link for you to read about Ukrainian Canadian interment

It was nice to see that people like my grandpa were being remembered.  Here are a couple of links for you to read about how they were being remembered:

*  Here is an article in The Windsor Star entitled, 100 plaques displayed across Canada to remember First World War internment camps

*  This is a YouTube video entitled, 100th Anniversary of Canada's First National Internment Operations 1914-1920

To be honest, it breaks my heart thinking about the suffering my grandpa endured.  All because fellow Canadians were afraid of him, not because of anything he did wrong; for he hadn't done anything wrong.  But, because of his ability to speak several languages.  And, where he had come to Canada from.

Thinking of suffering brought to mine 2 Timothy 2:12, "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:"

Just as we read, if we suffer... we shall also reign with Him.  But, if we deny Him, He also will deny us.

Phew!  Wow!

How clear is that?!

This clearly tells us that if we suffer, we shall also reign with Him, but only if we have not denied Him.

Who is this referring to?

If we have not denied Him, then we are part of His family.  Born-again Christians.

If we have denied Him, then we are NOT part of His family.

As I've said many times in the past, only His family members trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, shall be saved.

Hopefully, you are part of His family.  If so, I will be happy to see you, when we reign with Him, together.

Until next time...

Upon All Them...

It's about time that here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I let you know what I did on Saturday, August 16th.

That day, was a special day.  In a sort of special way.  It was the 37th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley.

Here is a Wikipedia link for you to read about Elvis Presley:

Just thinking about how long it has been since Elvis died, kind of blows my mind.  :(   It's hard to believe that if he hadn't died when he was 42 years of age, he would be about 79, now!  Whoa!!

Be still my heart...

In any case, getting back to what I was going to discuss, I watched films that Elvis starred in.  A great movie channel that I've mentioned in the past, Movies! TV Network, aired several films honouring Elvis.

No, I didn't watch them all.  I didn't watch my television (TV) all day!

But, I did enjoy the following films:

*  Flaming Star, starring Elvis Presley (of course!) & Barbara Eden.  To read about this film, check out the information on this link:  This was a movie I had never before seen.  I found this movie rather shocking.  Elvis played the part of a son who was born of an American dad and an Indian mom.  It was a western film.  And, unlike many of Elvis' other films, there wasn't a tremendous amount of music in it.  Still, it was worth watching!

Easy Come, Easy Go, starring Elvis Presley & Pat Priest.  Here's a link for you to check out this film:,_Easy_Go_(film).  While this movie had a great amount of music in it, the storyline was interesting.

Paradise, Hawaiian Style, starring Elvis Presley, Suzanna Leigh & James Shigeta.  For information about this film, click on this link:,_Hawaiian_Style.  As you can probably guess, this film had many water scenes in it.  And, a great amount of music.  I enjoyed watching it.

Even as I watched those movies, thoughts ran through my mind about Elvis.

He was a US Army veteran.  He was a good actor.  And, his music was wonderful!

The main thing that kept popping into my mind, was the fact that he was Christian.

Thinking about his life.  And, how he died, after having used prescription drugs for quite a while, brought thoughts to my mind.

I thought about sin, death, and life... through salvation.  Not just his.  Mine, and yours, too.

With these thoughts running rampant, I thought about Romans 3:21-24, "But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:"

It reminded me that no matter what any of us have done in life, that could be considered sinful, God cares for us.

Just as we read in those Bible verses, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  That's right.  No one is perfect.

But, God provides for us.  He provides for us, who belong to Him.

We receive salvation by trusting in Jesus.  And, we are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.  Just as we read.

Amazing.  Truly amazing.

My friend, I appreciate you reading LwL.  Thank you for doing so.

However, there is something I feel I must ask you.  Have YOU received God's grace, forgiveness and everlasting life, by trusting in our Lord, Jesus Christ?

Hopefully, you have.  If so, we'll be able to be together in heaven, some day.

If not, my heart breaks for you.  For there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.

Trust in Jesus.  There's no other way.

Until next time...

Who's The Father?

If you read recent entries of Life with Lynnie (LwL) , you'll be aware that I was fraudulently approached by a Muslim.

Was this the only time it happened?  Well, I can't be sure, but I believe that it almost happened to me again.  However this time, it would have been in person, and not through the internet.

To make matters worse, someone on Facebook (FB) contacted me the other day.  This was NOT someone who was a FB friend of mine.

She doesn't live in North America, but she came across what I had posted here on LwL, about being fraudulently approached by a Muslim.  This woman let me know the same thing had happened to her!

Thinking, and praying about the whole situation, I realized that this may not have just been something to cause terror for her, or for me.

After all, Christians are being persecuted by Muslims in various parts of the world today.  So, what would stop Islam from wanting to attack her?  Or, me?

Especially, since they believe they are God's children.  Even though they are not.

Just as we read what Jesus said, in John 8:37-45, "I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not."

As we read, anyone who has God as their Father, loves Jesus.

This is the absolute truth.  Just as we read in verse 42, above.

The evilness I have been writing about, isn't new in this world.  Even if it has been new to me.

Some people think that it is only Muslims in the Middle East, are the problem.  But, that isn't true.

We have people here, who are Islamic, who follow Muslim ways/teachings, to hurt others.

Just as they are taught, in Islam.

Just as that fellow approached me, in a hateful manner... trying to encourage me to do something, to be hurt.  Or, at the very least, warn me that they won't tolerate me speaking truth.

Don't believe me?  Click on this link:

Hopefully, you read that article posted by National Post.  In case you couldn't open it, I'll copy/paste it below:

Iraq suicide bomber was once a Calgary business analyst who ‘seemed like a regular guy’

A suicide bomber who attacked an Iraqi army base last November was a Calgary business analyst who left the country in 2012, friends said Wednesday amid rising concerns about the flow of Canadians to overseas terror groups.
Those who knew Salman Ashrafi said they had lost all contact with him after the Pakistani-Canadian suddenly quit his job and moved away. And now they know why: He apparently died seven months ago after detonating a car bomb north of Baghdad.
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria posted his photo online in March, calling him Abu Abdullah Al Khorasani, but a Calgary Muslim community leader said the man was Ashrafi, a privileged Pakistani-Canadian.
“He seemed like a regular guy and he was one of those guys that actually had a career, had a wife,” the man said.

I'm glad you can see that I am being honest.  And, not hateful.  Because, I am not.  I'm speaking truth.

God's Word, the Bible, tells us that those who do not belong to Christ, are of the devil.  Satan.

And, we are living in his evil world, that he has control over.

Hopefully, you can understand that by speaking truth to people, it will encourage them to find a solution to the problem we face here in the world, today.  I believe the only permanent solution, is to gain salvation.

It is my prayer that if anyone who is not yet saved, will come to Christ, today.   Tomorrow may be too late.

Until next time...

Oops... Sorry, Dieppe!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I try to post about special issues, whenever I can.  And, I try to focus on celebrating historical events that have affected our lives.

Unfortunately, I missed doing this, yesterday.

I should have discussed Dieppe, France.  Here's a link to read about Dieppe:

When my now deceased husband Gordon was still alive, we visited France a few times.  Once, we visited Dieppe.

Gordon wanted to see Dieppe, because an uncle of his, participated in the Dieppe raid.  The date was August 19th, 1942.  Here's information for you to check out about the Dieppe raid:

If you opened that link regarding the Dieppe Raid, you'll be aware that it was known as Operation Rutter.

To most of you reading this entry, you probably won't understand why that was important to me.  No, I did not have a relative who participated in the Dieppe Raid, as Gordon did.

However, the name Rutter is important to me.  It is one of my family names.

When I first heard this, I actually wondered if I had a family member who participated in this WW2 event.  But, I didn't.

It surprised me that there wasn't much to see in Dieppe, regarding the Canadian allies.  Although, I must say there is a small park that honours Canada.  In a past LwL entry, I posted pics of the park.

It was surprising to me that not much was honouring to Canada, because so very many Canadians were killed during that raid.  Or, were taken prisoner of war.

However, our Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) news confirmed that a monument is now located, in Dieppe.  Here is a link, to a CBC article entitled, Monument to honour Battle of Dieppe casualties  This monument was erected a while back, but not until after Gordon and I had visited Dieppe.

Gordon's uncle was not killed, during the Dieppe Raid.  He made it ashore.

This was surprising to both Gordon and I.  You see, most people aren't aware the situation at Dieppe.

Yes, there are high cliffs.  German army bunkers still exist, there.  Just as they do in many places along the coastline.

However, most people are not aware that the beach was not sand.  It was and still is... rocks.

Slippery, smooth rocks cover the beach.  Gordon filmed early in the morning, what it must have been like to have tried to cross the beach.

It couldn't have been easy.  I'm sure you'll understand, when you see this pic:
This is the stony beach at Dieppe (our snapshot).
When it is wet, it is so slippery that many people fall on it.

Gordon's uncle became a prisoner of war.  Much like an uncle of mine did, in another part of France.  :(

Still, I praise God that these relatives lived through the terror of WW2.

I feel badly that I did not attend a memorial celebration held here in Windsor, at Dieppe Park, yesterday.  Here is a Windsor Star link to an article entitled, Local soldiers and supporters gather to remember the Battle of Dieppe  I pray God will bless those, who did attend.

It's certainly not easy, living through any trial in life.  Not for them, during WW2.  And, not for you, or me, or anyone suffering, even today.

Thinking about people suffering with trials in their lives, reminded me about what God told us about situations like this.

Just as He did, in 1 Peter 4:12, "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:"

God told us in this verse, that we would experience fiery trials, in our lives.  He also explained that we should not think of these trials, as something strange happening.

Every person who belongs to Him... who is His child, will go through trials.  Fiery trials.

Please understand.  God may allow us to go through trials of various kinds. However, He does not create the trials.

Some trials are created by choices made by man.  Whether this is the case or not, doesn't really matter.

For most are made by Satan.  Sometimes directly from him; sometimes through people who belong to him.

Who is he?  Satan, is the father of this world.  Satan, does his best to prevent people from coming to Christ.

The sad thing is, that anyone who is not being attacked by Satan, is probably one of his children.

After all, Satan doesn't need to attack his own.  He only attacks those who belong to Christ.

So my friend, if you are going through a trial or a horrible experience, realize that you are being attacked, by Satan.  If this is happening to you, what should you do?

Trust in our Lord!  He will lead you through.  And, will never leave you, nor forsake you.

For this, I will always praise Him!

Until next time...

Derek's Injured...

Yesterday, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discussed what I did on SONday.  However, there was something I didn't mention, that I will discuss later, on today's entry.

I began writing this entry a few days ago.  The following information is what I thought I would mention.

My fellow blogger... Derek, who is biking around the world, was interviewed once again.  Here is a link for you to watch and/or listen:  Please understand that even though it is a French interview, Derek was speaking English.  I hope you'll watch the video, my friend.

Later, on Facebook (FB), I saw a posting made by a relative of Derek's.  Here is what the message said:  Hello Everyone. We have had a call from Derek this evening and he apparently had a cycling accident earlier today. His front tire exploded going downhill. He is now in Rimouski Regional Hospital (418-724-3000418-724-3000 x 8574) with suspected arm fractures. He is in a significant amount of pain. If anyone is in the area and can get in touch with him, it would be much appreciated.

This was shocking to me.

No, it wasn't the first time Derek had been injured.  While he was in the Middle East, he had been injured when he was hit in a collision.  At that time, his bike was demolished, and he was hurt.  Now, he's hurt, once again.

I praise God that Derek wasn't killed.  And, I'm asking that you will pray for him.  Thank you, my friend.  May God bless you for this.

Now, going back to what I wanted to let you know I did on Sunday, was the fact that I went to the office of Canadian Broadcasting Corporation/Windsor (CBC/Windsor).

Knowing that CBC had interviewed Derek in the province of Quebec prior to his injury, I had prayed and hoped that CBC would do a follow-up interview.  If they did this, I prayed that people would step up to help him, in many ways.

Unfortunately, the office was closed.  No one was there.

So, yesterday (Monday), I went to the CBC Windsor office, once again.

This time, I was able to speak with the manager.  He told me to contact either the person who had done the interview/video or to contact CBC/Montreal.

When I asked if he could do this for me, he responded that I had to do it, myself.  Sigh...

Having been away from home for a while, I decided to message Derek on FB, once I was home, again.  It was then, that I saw that the person who had done the interview/video had commented on one (1) of his two (2) FB pages.

I messaged the CBC employee.  She responded that she would be off work, so I need to contact another person.

I praise God she gave me the person's name and contact information.  I thanked her, and let her know I would make contact, with the person she requested I get in touch with.

Thank You, Lord!  I praise You.  You are such a blessing, to me... and to all who are Your children!

This brought to mind, Psalm 34:1, "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth."

Yes, I will continually praise Him!

I will glorify Him, both in good times, and in not so good times.  For He is there with me, always.

Just as He is with You, if you belong to Him.  Do you belong to Him?

Some people ask what we must do to belong to Him?  What must we do to become saved?

The answer is simple:  believe upon the Lord, Jesus Christ... and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31).

Yes, by doing this, you will become a child of God.  And, will be saved from spending eternity in Hell.

Please believe upon/trust in Jesus, today.

Until next time...

God Provided...

Being Monday, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I will tell you about my Lord's Day, yesterday.

After having only a few short hours of rest (I don't mean sleep!), I got up and got myself moving.  It wasn't that I really wanted to do so, physically speaking, but I knew I needed to, in order to be able to go worship God, with my church family.

Arriving before 10:00 a.m., I made my way downstairs to our fellowship room, where we have our SONday morning adult Bible study class.

This is also where we would be gathering after our worship service, for our pot-luck luncheon.  So, I made sure I dropped off the muffins that I had brought with me, as my contribution.

Taking a seat, it was a few minutes before other people joined me.  Our Bible study time was wonderful, just as it usually is!

Afterwards, I made my way upstairs to the sanctuary, and took a seat.  It was great being able to sit once again with my church family to worship!

Our worship service was honouring to our Lord.  Just as it should be.  :)

Later, we all made our way downstairs to the fellowship room.

This may sound strange to you, but I was very happy being able to share a meal with my brothers and sisters in the Lord.  After all, when I am at home, I am alone.  And, am constantly eating by myself.

Thinking about being alone, brought to mind Genesis 2:18, "And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him."

God told us a long time ago, that we do not need to be alone.  That's why He created Eve, for Adam.

Unfortunately, in my life, I no longer have an 'Adam' to share my life with.  So, I end up being alone, most of the time.

It was a true blessing, being able to spend time with my church family.  Worshipping, to be sure!  But, also in spending time visiting with each other, and sharing our meal.

I felt blessed.  Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...

Speak, O Lord...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I will once again let you know how grateful I am that I am healed enough, to not have to stay home.

I am truly grateful that I can sit up, move around, and even drive, once again.  Thank You, Lord!

Being SONday, our Lord's Day, I will once again make my way to worship with my brothers and sisters in Christ, at Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church, where I am a member.

As I've said in the past, I enjoy worshipping God.  With my church family, I will worship Him in spirit and in truth.  And, through music.

A song came to mind, that I thought you might enjoy.

It's written by Keith Getty & Stuart Townend, and is sung by Kristyn Getty.  It's entitled, Speak, O Lord.  Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along:  The lyrics are below.

Speak, O Lord

Speak, O Lord, as we come to You
To receive the food of Your Holy Word.
Take Your truth, plant it deep in us;
Shape and fashion us in Your likeness,
That the light of Christ might be seen today
In our acts of love and our deeds of faith.
Speak, O Lord, and fulfill in us
All Your purposes for Your glory.

Teach us, Lord, full obedience,
Holy reverence, true humility;
Test our thoughts and our attitudes
In the radiance of Your purity.
Cause our faith to rise; cause our eyes to see
Your majestic love and authority.
Words of pow'r that can never fail -
Let their truth prevail over unbelief.

Speak, O Lord, and renew our minds;
Help us grasp the heights of Your plans for us -
Truths unchanged from the dawn of time
That will echo down through eternity.
And by grace we'll stand on Your promises,
And, by faith we'll walk as You walk with us.
Speak, O Lord, till Your church is built
And the earth is filled with your glory.

God's speaks to us through His Word, the Bible.

He teaches us.  And, fills our hearts and mind, with His Word.  So that we can be educated as to what God wants us to know.

Just as we read in 2 Timothy 3:16, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"

His Word teaches us what we need to do, and how we need to think.

He leads us through conviction, through repentance, and into righteousness.  This can only be done by reading His Word, the Bible, and coming to Christ.

Have you come to Christ?

Hopefully, you have.  If so, I will one day meet you, either here on earth, or in Heaven.

If not, I suggest you come to Christ today.  Believe upon/trust in Jesus, is all you need to do.  Tomorrow, may be too late.

Until next time...

In yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I mentioned how some people are finally coming to understand that they need to understand what Islam is.  What it is about.  And, how it affects the rest of the world.

However, there are many people who do not yet realize what it is.  So, I've included many links to articles, preachers, teachers, and videos.

This way, you can take your time, and see for yourself what Islam is about.  And, what it is doing to the world we live in.

Here is a Youtube video that I believe everyone should watch; it's entitled, A 5 minute introduction to REAL Islam

As we hear daily, Islam is murdering and terrorizing people, all over the world.  Here is an article by The New York Times entitled, Scores Are Killed by Suicide Bomb Attack at Historic Church in Pakistan

This Youtube video features Erick Stakelbeck on Sid Roth's programme, It's Supernatural entitled, Muslim Brotherhood Plan Exposed!:

Here is something I am grateful I read!  It is an article by Reuters entitled, Egypt court bans all Muslim Brotherhood Activities:

Please... listen to/watch this Youtube video featuring Brigitte Gabriel entitled, Radical Islam:  The Plan to Destroy America from Within:  Infiltration:

If you don't believe what you've read, then please read this article published Sept. 26/13 by The Toronto Sun entitled,  Calgary imam to Muslims :Go Home" :

That article proves by the imam's own words, that Muslims are immigrating to Canada for the wrong reasons.

What he claims, is exactly opposite to why people immigrate to Canada.   Like my grandparents did.  And, probably some relatives of yours, also.

Instead of coming to Canada for a better life, Muslims are coming to live here, in an effort to stake claims... for Islam.  Just as they are in other countries around the world.

Taking over the world and forcing Islam to be the ideology that people will live by, is their ONLY reason.

No Compulsion posted the following article entitled, The Gang Religion of Islam  It confirms everything that's been said.

Please... watch this next Youtube video is entitled, The Nairobi Mall Massacre  It's very important.

This article is by The White Resister entitled, Twelve Muslims gang raped Swedish Mother in Refugee Camp

By now, you may be asking yourself... what can we do about this?

Of course, we need to pray.  Pray diligently, that God's will shall be done.  And, pray that many Muslims will come to Christ.

Here is a Youtube video entitled, Iraq:  Many thousands of Muslims are coming to Christ

Whether or not this fellow has come to Christ, I am thankful that he spoke up, telling the truth about Islam on this Youtube video entitled, Son of Hamas Leader:  The God of Islam Suffers from Split Personality; Muhammad - a False Prophet

Prayer is so very important.  I've been praying as I'm sure many of you have also, that governments everywhere will realize that Islam, being an ideology, and not truly a religion, will be rebuked.

It seems to be happening.  Russia has decided to not allow Islam.

And, now Angola, has also!  Check out this article by Freedom Outpost entitled, Angola Bans Islam - Sets to destroy all Mosques :

For this, I praise God!

After all, He has begun to answer the prayer of many.  Of those, who are praying that Islam will not be accepted everywhere in the world.

My friend, we must pray.  Always.

Just as we read, in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, "Pray without ceasing."

Please understand that we must not just pray for ourselves.  We must also pray for those who hurt us.  And, for all who need salvation.  Including Muslims.

So, I am asking you to pray.  For all, who will spend eternity in Hell, unless they gain salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Thank you, my friend.  After all, prayer can move mountains.

Until next time...

Christian Genocide? Christian Genocide!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be discussing something that may surprise you.

Christian Genocide.

I am grateful to someone I knew when I was young.  This person posted on Facebook (FB), about this issue.

Here is a pic of the Arabic symbol being used.
The Arabic letter 'N' that represents 'Nasara' or 'Nazarenes', used instead of the word, 'Christians' .

Recently, I used this pic on FB.

So far, only one (1) friend has asked me why, or what it represents.  I made sure he knew what the symbol represented; he was thankful.  Another FB friend messaged me, letting me know that he checked out the symbol himself, and seemed happy I was using it as my profile pic.

It seems many people are afraid to speak up, regarding the problems the world is having with Islam.

How grateful I am that my childhood friend who posted this pic originally, has arrived at realizing that Christians, who are considered to be infidels by Muslims, are being attacked in various ways.  Including being murdered.  Thank you, my friend.  May God continue to bless you...

To confirm what was posted on FB, I searched online for information relating to this.

I found an article posted by National Review Online entitled, A Christian Genocide Symboled by One Letter  Please read it, so you will have a better understanding about what is happening.

Here is a link to another article posted by Catholic Online entitled, ISIL Islamic Terrorists Committing Christian Genocide - As the World Watches

This video should be watched by all who read this entry, in my opinion.  A FB friend posted a link to this Fox News video entitled, Should Obama step up support for Christians in Iraq

Hopefully, you'll realize that what happened to the Jews during World War 2 (WW2), is now happening to Christians, by Muslims.  Instead of it being a Jewish holocaust, as in WW2, what is happening now, is a Christian holocaust.

I'm not just referring to being murdered, although that is happening.  Christians and their belongings are now being marked with the Arabic letter 'N', that refers to Christianity, so that all will recognize that people and things they own, need to be destroyed.  Sort of like how Jews had to wear their Jewish star, during WW2.

For quite a while now, I've been speaking up.  I've been telling people to beware.  I've been trying to explain that I believe history is repeating itself, but with a difference.  Instead of only Jews being attacked as in the past, we Christians are being attacked now, too.

Normally, I use KJV of the Bible when I quote Bible verses, but today I decided to use the NLT, because it is easier to read and understand that indeed, history will repeat itself.  Just as God told us in Ecclesiastes 1:9, "History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new."

Knowing that Islam is not just a religion, but also mainly an ideology (a way of life, in life itself as well as politically), I will say once again, that it is trying to take over our world.  Just as Hitler and the Nazi's tried to do during WW2.

Many people's eyes are closed to truth.  Many do not want to even consider trouble is growing, and will eradicate our lifestyle, at some point in time.

While God is in control, we as His children must speak up.  We must educate others.  We must help people see that their lives may be okay this second, but at some point in the future, they will not be.

And, we need to pray.

After all, God's Will is always done.

Until next time...

Robin Williams...

Yesterday, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discussed about a song resonating within me.  Tin Man.

Part of what I mentioned, is the fact that many brothers and sisters in Christ, are suffering.  Suffering in many ways, in their lives.

One such fellow Christian, was Robin Williams.

Not everyone thinks Robin Williams was saved, being a child of God.  I can understand this, because most actors, comedians, etc., don't always mention their relationship with Him.

However, here is a link to Wikipedia, that tells us about him:

If you read the information posted on that site, you'll see that he was Episcopalian.  And, even did a comedy act about being Episcopalian.

Most Christian church groups believe that in order to be a member, a person needs to be baptized.

The Episcopal church group believes that in order to be baptized, a person must first turn away from sin, and come to Christ.  Thereby, trusting in our Lord, and being saved.

Then, baptism takes place.  I was happy to have read about that; you can do so also, here:

This told me that Robin had worshipped at a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church.  For this, I am thankful.

Many might think he wasn't saved.  Or, that he lost his salvation.  Some may feel that because he had sin in his life, he is not in heaven.

However, I do not agree.

While God wants us to be overcomers, He also understands when people are sick, they cannot always think straight.

He told us that even though when we become saved, we obtain a new nature, we still have our old nature.  And, He also told us that once we are in the palm of God's hand, we can never be removed.

Just as we read, in John 10:27-30, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one."

While the world has heard that Robin Williams committed suicide, this does not necessarily mean that he's not in heaven.

As we read in today's Bible verses, once a person is held in the palm of God's hand, the person cannot ever be removed.

Knowing that Robin suffered emotionally, and knowing that he probably felt depressed over the life's troubles and trials he had faced, he was definitely sick.  Mentally, and possibly even physically.

No one knows if he actually hung himself, or if he was hung by someone who wanted to murder him.  Only God knows this.

No one knows if he did hang himself, and after doing so, repented, without being able to change the situation and stop his life from ending.  He may have repented, and/or called upon the name of the Lord.

God told us in His Word, the Bible, that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord, will be saved.

So, is Robin Williams in heaven?  Even though I believe he is, only God knows.

One thing is for sure.  It's now too late to pray for him.

There is no changing anything concerning his eternal life.

My friend, if you're not yet trusting in our Lord, Jesus Christ, I would suggest that you come to Christ, gaining salvation.  Tomorrow may be too late.

Until next time...

Looking Forward?

As I've mentioned in the past, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), there are times when music resonates throughout me, day after day.  Lately, this is what has been happening to me.

Every day, for close to a week now, I've awoken with a song on my heart, in my mind, resonating throughout me, day after day.  Why this is happening, I'm not really sure.  But, I think I have an idea.

The song was written by Dewey Bunnell and produced by George Martin, is sung by America and is entitled, Tin Man.  Here is a link to listen and/or sing along:  The lyrics are below.

Tin Man

Sometimes late
When things are real
And the people share the gift of gab
Between themselves

Some are quick
To take the bait
And catch the perfect prize
That waits among the shells

But Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man
That he didn't, didn't already have
And Cause never was the reason for the evening
Or the tropic of Sir Galahad

So please
Believe in me
When I say I'm spinning round, round, round, round
Smoke glass stain'd bright colors
Image going down, down, down, down
Soapsud green like bubbles

Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man
That he didn't, didn't already have
And Cause never was the reason for the evening
Or the tropic of Sir Galahad

So please
Believe in me
When I say I'm spinning round, round, round, round
Smoke glass stain'd bright colors
Image going down, down, down, down
Soapsud green like bubbles

No, Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man
That he didn't, didn't already have
And Cause never was the reason for the evening
Or the tropic of Sir Galahad

So please believe in me

Oooh... Oooh... Oooh... Oooh... Oooh... Oooh... Oooh

Why this song has been on my mind, I really don't know.

However, I will say that for the last couple of weeks, since it was my deceased husband Gordon's birthday, I had been feeling rather low in spirit, whenever I thought about him.

Sometimes I've asked God why I was not yet healed physically, and from grief.  And, why He hasn't yet restored my life, fully.

Somehow, I wonder if God hasn't been telling me that He would give nothing that I don't already have.  And, letting me know that I need to trust in Him.

Seriously, I am trusting in Him.

And, I'm sure He knows it.  But, do I really have what He says I have?  Only He knows for sure, for His timing is not my timing.  Being only human, I cannot see everything that He has provided for me, in my life.

So, all I can do is trust Him.  And, I do.

I'm sure He's aware that I have not been happy with my life, over the past couple of years.  So, it may be that He's also reminding me that I need to not just believe/trust in Him, but I also need to change the way I've been feeling about my life.  For sure, I realize I need to turn around, and stop looking back.

Instead, I need to carry on, looking forward.  Even, if it is not easy.

Just as we read in Philippians 3:13-14, "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

We all need to forget those things in our past, that we find upsetting.  Upsetting enough, to make us feel low in spirit.

We need to reach forth, and press on toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, just as we read.

Am I alone having trouble dealing with an issue like this in my life?  Absolutely not.

Many people suffer this way, even when they are trusting in our Lord.  Like me.

It reminds me that Satan is alive and well.  He does whatever he can to hurt us, since we are Christians.

After all, he doesn't need to attack anyone who belongs to him.

And, God did tell us that we would face many trials in life.  As sad as this is, it is true.

Almost every Christian I know is going through some sort of trial in their lives.  Many have had more than anyone could ever dream of.

The amazing thing to me, is that God is always there.  For me, and for you... if you belong to Him.  If you are a child of God, who is saved.

What must you do to be saved?  Believe upon the Lord, Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31).

Until next time...
