In Remembrance...

If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL), you'll be aware that I love to worship my Lord.

Due to my health problems, for quite a while, I've had to worship at home.  As you're probably aware.

However, yesterday was different!  Yesterday, I managed to join my church family in worship!

A sister-in-the-Lord E, who lives not far from me, came and picked me up.  Together, we went to meet up for our worship service.

Thank you, E!  I appreciate what you did for me, more than what you know.  May God bless you, sister!

Upon arriving, I was greeted by many people, who were happy to see me.  And, I was happy to see them.

Something that surprised me, was the number of people who commented about how I have lost weight.  Yes, I have.  But, I still have more to go!  Even so, I appreciated receiving caring comments of encouragement.

Being the first SONday of the month, meant that in addition to having our worship service, we also had communion.  Hallelujah!  Thank You, Lord!

Truthfully, it has been so very long since I was able to join my church family in celebrating Christ through having communion.  I felt truly blessed!

It did my heart good to join with my brothers and sisters in Christ, to honour Him.  Especially, through the bread and wine (juice for us).

Truly, I gave thanks.  And participated, in remembrance of Him.

This brought to mind what Jesus said, in 1 Corinthians 11:24-26, "And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come."

Yes, to me... it's important to honour Jesus, in remembrance of what He did for us.

After all, He came to earth in the form of a person, was crucified, died physically on a wooden cross at Calvary, and was resurrected.

He did all of this for me.  And for you, if you are believing upon Him, and have become saved by doing so.

How grateful I am, Lord!  I will never stop loving You.  Ever!

Until next time...
