Be Not Deceived...

Every now and then, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discuss issues some people don't like.  It's that kind of day, today.

When I watched the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) Windsor news programme last evening at suppertime, I was absolutely shocked.  And, upset.

What was the issue?  Marijuana.

There was a video shown on the news that I wish I could have found, online.  Unfortunately, I couldn't find it.

Watching it almost made me sick to my stomach. 

The issue of marijuana becoming legal yesterday, in Washington state, in USA was disgusting to me.  But, on the video shown, a woman who was in line awaiting entry into the store to purchase marijuana, was interviewed.

While the woman was being interviewed, she smiled at another woman next to her, and commented that she never thought she'd be able to marry her wife, and was happy that marijuana was now available for sale, there.

Sigh...

How sinful...

While searching online for the video I had seen on the news, I also came across an article posted by Huffington Post entitled, The Next Five States In Line For Marijuana Reformhttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/08/states-legalizing-marijuana_n_5567004.html.

Some people reading this LwL entry may laugh aloud.  Some may shout aloud, in a happy way.

Then, there's those people who read God's Word, the Bible.  People who know that both issues mentioned here, are not acceptable to God.

Sin... is sin.  There is no escaping sin without help from God. 

Nor, can anyone escape the repercussion of having sin in their lives.

Just as God told us in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

God has made it clear to us, about what sin will do to us.

The unrighteous, who choose to live their lives in sin shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  Meaning... those who elect to live in sin, will not spend eternity with God in Heaven.  Instead, they will spend eternity in Hell, separated from God; know that there is no escape, either.

How grateful I am that God provided for me.  How thankful I am that I am being sanctified, daily.

How thankful I am that I have been washed clean, by the blood of my Lord, Jesus Christ... who died on a wooden cross for the sin of the world, for the sin of all who will believe. 

If God is leading you to salvation, I'll be eternally grateful.  For then, I will some day see you in Heaven.
