As I mentioned here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), yesterday I went to worship with my church family.
The time I left to meet up with my church family, was much earlier than normal. I had planned to meet with pastor Tom, and with some other people.
How grateful I was to meet up with four (4) other sisters in the Lord!
You may be wondering what the reason was for our meeting. It was to find out information on becoming a member of the church group.
Living in various cities in my life, and worshipping with many various church groups, I have worshipped God with many people. And, I even worshipped with one (1) church group for 17 years. But, I had never actually become a member of any church group.
At least, not until yesterday!
I have always called my fellow Christians my church family. Now, we are truly family! Family of Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church.
Of course, being saved, meaning being a born-again Christian, I have for quite a while been a member of God's family. One of many in the body of Christ.
Just as we read, in Romans 12:5, "So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another."
I must admit, that I am grateful that the church family (congregation) of Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church, is growing.
I'm grateful to be a family member of a group of Christians. Christians, who believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, who believe we need to read our Bible, study it, and teach others about it.
After all, it is God's Word. And, will always be His Word. For He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Until next time...
