I do this every day. However, on SONdays, I like to worship with my church family.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to do so today since I had a medical procedure done a few days ago. Yes, I'm trusting God for my healing and am looking forward to being able to drive, sit up without pain, and worship Him with my church family, once again.
As I'm sure you're aware, while at home I worship Him in spirit and in truth. Plus, through music.
Alvin Rauh, a Facebook friend of mine and a fellow blogger of Simply Alvin (see the link on this page), posted a song on Google+. Never before had I heard it, but I truly enjoyed it.
It's by William Lee Golden entitled, Let There Be Love. Here is a link so you can watch and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKnRNhoaBU0. The lyrics are below.
Let There Be Love
Let there be love
Let there be hope
Let's open up our hearts
And let our love show
Let there be love
Instead of the worry and the fears
Instead of the anger and the tears
Let there be love
The whole world over
Love is the key
That opens a smile on every face you see
That's what the whole world needs
Let there be love
Let there be hope
Let's open up our hearts
And let our love show
Let there be love
Instead of the worry and the fears
Instead of the anger and the tears
Let there be love
In the beginning
When the earth was made
If our creator just had one more day
This is what He'd say
Let there be love
Let there be hope
Let's open up our hearts
And let our love show
Let there be love
Instead of the worry and the fears
Instead of the anger and the tears
Let there be love
Let there be love
Let there be hope
Let's open up our hearts
And let our love show
Let there be love
Instead of the worry and the fears
Instead of the anger and the tears
Let there be love
Let there be love
Let there be hope
Let's open up our hearts
And let our love show
Let there be love
Instead of the worry and the fears
Instead of the anger and the tears
Let there be love
Love. Love is truly what everyone needs. Just as the lyrics of this song tells us.
After all, God is love!
To me, it is a shame that neither God, nor love is not received by all. Unsaved people cannot have the fruit of the spirit, for they do not have our Lord in their hearts.
But, even those who are saved do not always walk/live in the spirit.
What is the difference?
God explains it, in Galatians 5:19-26, "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another."
I was reminded of the difference between living in the flesh and living in the spirit, not just because today is Sunday, our Lord's Day.
I was also reminded because of it being Injured Workers Day, today... June 1st.
There will be a group of people who will be gathering today. And, if you are willing to be supportive of injured workers, I pray you will join those participating, either here in my city, or wherever it is you live. My area's local information is as follows:
There will be a PROTEST gathering at
WORKPLACE SAFETY AND INSURANCE BOARD (WSIB)
2485 Ouellette Avenue, Windsor, Ontario
1 PM Sunday June
1st, 2014
Yes, there is a major difference between what Worker's Compensation was set up for when it began many years ago.
Originally, it was set up to help those who were injured while working. The programme showed love to those who could not work.
Today, it is different.
Not just the name has changed. But, also the programme itself.
And, it is in the process of changing, again... in a way that will be hurtful and not helpful to those who need the love that this programme should be giving.
So, where is the love for injured workers? It certainly is not with WSIB.
The love is with God. And, only with God.
That's why He sent His only begotten Son to suffer and die on a wooden cross on Calvary. To be resurrected, so we can know that just as He is spending eternity in Heaven, we can, also.
He did this, so that we can have everlasting life... by believing upon/trusting in Jesus and in Him alone, for our salvation.
If you're not trusting in Jesus yet, I would suggest you read God's Word, the Bible. Begin reading in The New Testament portion, in the book of John.
Here you'll discover that you truly need to be saved. And, how you can be saved.
May God bless you.
Until next time...
