Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I've discussed many types of things.
Something I haven't really discussed, is how I listen to preachers/teachers, online. Although my pastor knows I have in the past, I'm not sure if he realizes I do, now.
Tom Perry, my pastor where I worship at Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church, sent me e-mail. He included a couple of his sermons, for me to read. I enjoyed this.
In addition, I was happy that our church family had created a page, where sermons could be listened to. Here's a link in case you'd like to listen to some: http://www.gowebc.com/sermons.html. It was nice hearing sermons that I knew my church family heard, also!
What I haven't yet mentioned, is that Friday, June 5th was a very encouraging day for me.
First of all, I will mention that I was able to finally watch television (TV). Yes, the manufacturer of the TV I sent away to be repaired or replaced, sent me a replacement.
It wasn't easy for me to put the TV together, and set it up. But, I had some help. My nurse lifted the TV for me, so I didn't have to do that. Thank you, A! May God bless you, not just for the nursing care you've been giving me, since my regular nurse has been on vacation, but I thank you for helping me from hurting myself by lifting the TV!
Yes, I had to move it a few feet, but that was all.
This meant that even though the shows I enjoy watching, weren't being aired, I was able to watch and listen to the TV. Just as I enjoy doing, even when I'm not watching programmes.
This made me happy. Even so, something else made me even happier, on the weekend.
My daughter B, came to visit with a friend, Saturday evening. They even left for a few minutes to do an errand for me. Then, when they returned, we continued our visit. Thank you, B! May God bless you... and your friend.
Believe me when I say that I was happy to not have spent the whole weekend alone, once again. Thank You, Lord!
How gracious God has been to me.
Just as we read He is, in His Word, the Bible, in Psalm 116:5, "Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful."
Yes, He was gracious. And, He was merciful.
He understood that I was feeling quite stressed recently over all I have been through, and how I haven't been feeling the best, even though I trust in Him, for everything in my life. Including, my healing.
I was thankful God provided, just as I'm sure you understand, now.
Of course, He always provides. Just as He did over 2,000 years ago, when He sent His only begotten Son to earth, to suffer and die on a wooden cross at Calvary... for the sin of the world, of all who will believe.
How gracious and merciful to us, Jesus was since He did this, in obedience to God the Father, knowing what He would endure... for us, who trust in Him.
While He suffered, died, and was resurrected, we received the grace (G) and mercy (M) that can only come through Him... by receiving salvation and everlasting life, simply by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.
I pray I'll meet you one day. Either here on earth, or in Heaven. If you have also received our Lord's G & M.
Until next time...
