We Are To...

If you read recent Life with Lynnie (LwL) entries, you'll know that I've had some discouraging things happen to me, recently.

However, I have not been discouraged by all that has transpired.  Just as I previously discussed.

As I also mentioned previously, things happened that were encouraging to me.

On Sunday, I posted on Facebook (FB) about how I wish I could change my life, but I can't, so I'll just continue to trust in my Lord.  Most of the responses were very supportive.

One was different.

It was a question, asking me what I would change about my life.  I responded to the person, that I used to love to travel, but I couldn't for quite a while, now.  Especially, since I wasn't really looking forward to being cut open for the 7th time, in about 20 or 21 months.

The person who asked the question wasn't a long time FB friend.  It was the author of a blog I follow, entitled Derek's Bike Trip.  Here's a link to his blog site:

Hearing from him wasn't the only shocking thing that happened.

What he did, made me feel wonderful.  Derek responded that he would add me to his prayer list.

I thanked him.  And, praised God!

On Monday, I watched Richard Bangs on the CREATE television (TV) station that I adore, as he travelled throughout Morocco, on his programme, Richard Bangs' Adventures with Purpose.  Here is a link to Richard Bangs' website:

Later, I found him on FB.  And, became a follower.

On one of his pages, I posted a comment.  I let him know that I enjoyed watching his programme on CREATE, when he travelled through Morocco.  And, commented that it reminded me of when I travelled to Morocco, in the past.

To my surprise, Richard responded to me.

Wow!  This was truly unexpected by me.  I never expected to hear from him.

Well, hopefully it was him and not someone who works for him, representing him.  In any case, it was nice to receive a response.  Thank you!

Please know that I have prayed for Richard, and will continue to do so.  Not just because he was friendly towards me.

I also have prayed for Derek.  And, will continue to do so.  Not just because he was friendly towards me, and added me to his prayer list, for my healing.

I must admit that I must ask you to please pray for Derek.  Not just because he's biking around the world.  But also, because he has been battling cancer for much of his life.

And, Richard needs prayer, just as all my FB friends do.

Yes, I pray for all my FB friends.  It's because I believe we all need to pray for all people.  Whether saved, or not.

I'd like you to know, I do not pray only for those who are nice to me.  I also pray for those, who are not.

Just as God told us to do, in Matthew 5:43-44, "Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.  44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"

Yes, I've heard many times from people that I should hate someone, for hurting me.  I don't.  I forgive them.  And, pray for them.

I do whatever I can to love my enemies.  I bless those who curse me.  And, I do my best to be good to those who hate me.  Plus, I pray for those who despitefully use me, and persecute me.

Why do I do this?  Because I want to be obedient to God.

No matter who you are, please know that I pray for you.  May God bless you.

Until next time...
