If you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, you'll know that I felt rather sad for a while last Saturday. Even so, God lifted my spirits. For this I praised Him!
Thinking that Sunday would be better, I began the day feeling encouraged. At least, until something happened that made me see that once again, I was receiving an attack by Satan.
No, I won't go into detail. What happened isn't of any importance to you, to be sure. Even though it was to me.
What began Sunday, didn't end there. It continued on Monday morning.
There was a difference, though. It didn't discourage me. Instead, it confirmed to me just exactly what I had discussed, yesterday.
Why these things have been happening to me, I can't understand. The only thing I know is, that God is in control. Not me.
Life can be very confusing. I'm glad I don't consider myself wise. Or, mighty.
Just as we read in 1 Corinthians 1:27-31, "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord."
As I've said before, I am nothing to the majority of people I know, who do not honour God first in their lives.
But, to Him, I am everything. And, I glory in Him, my Lord.
How thankful I am that God has given me wisdom and encouraged me to read His Word, the Bible. For in it, He reveals truth.
Truth, not just as I discussed yesterday, but also truth of life. And, the trials we will face.
How grateful I am that He loves me. For, nothing could ever be more important than His love that created a way of salvation for those who trust in Jesus Christ.
Ahh... what relief. Whatever happens here on this earth, is only temporary. I praise God for this!
What's important is where we will spend eternity.
I'm grateful He saved me. Hopefully, you are saved, also.
If so, we'll see each other in Heaven. What a blessing that will be!
Until next time...
