While this entry was posted with today's date, it was written after Lynn returned home from the hospital, after having surgery, once again. Just as you would be aware of, if you either knew me personally, or are a regular reader of Life with Lynnie (LwL).
I'm sure you realize that from time to time, my surgeon, his assistant and his students came to see me. They updated me on my condition.
It did my heart good to hear repeatedly that the surgery had gone well. And, I was improving.
I praised God for this! Both, aloud, and silently. And, I praised my surgeon and his team.
On Tuesday, April 1st, my surgeon came to see me, once again.
This time, he told me something very different. Something I didn't think I would hear for a while.
He let me know I was going to be heading home the next day.
This was surprising to me. Yes, it made me happy, but I wondered if it was true. Or, a joke.
You see, it was the morning of April 1st. Meaning, it was April Fool's Day!
He assured me, it was not a joke. Although, I must say, he chuckled!
He did let me know that I was ready to go home to continue healing.
For this I praised God. And, him, once again.
His last comment to me, before leaving my room, was that I was a new woman. With an heavy accent on the word, new. And, he gave me a thumbs up. More about this, later.
Until next time...
