Please know that this entry of Life with Lynnie (LwL) was not written and published on the date posted. It was done after I returned home from the hospital.
When I left off in yesterday's LwL entry, I let you know I was at the hospital's emergency room (ER). My daughter, P had stayed with me until close to 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning, before going home to try to get some sleep.
The ER physician examined me.
Once my pain was under control and the extra-strong antibiotics were being given to me intravenously, tests began.
Blood tests. Repeatedly.
X-rays.
I also had a CT-scan.
I remained there, throughout most of the day. Some of the time, I was able to sleep and rest.
Most of my awake time, I spent praying.
After all, God told us in Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"
Not only did I ask, but I prayed letting God know that I was trusting Him for my healing.
My daughter, P returned later in the afternoon. She brought her boyfriend, K with her.
When they entered my curtained area, K's hands weren't empty.
They knew that I like pizza. So, they brought some for us to share, together.
Just thinking that they cared for me enough to want to share a meal together, was wonderful. I could feel my heart swell with love, knowing that I was cared for and supported.
There was a problem, though. I wasn't allowed to eat anything.
P was shocked! So was K!
The reason I wasn't allowed to eat or drink, was a decision hadn't yet been made as to whether or not I would be having surgery.
Believe me, when I say I prayed.
Until next time...
