Looking Forward...

If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) on December 31st 2013, you'll know that I wrote about Looking Back...

However, now we have begun 2014.  It is a new year!

In my mind it is no longer time to look back.  But rather, now is a time to look forward.

So, I have decided that I need to close out all the hurt and anguish that I've experienced during 2013.  One of the worst years of my life.

Instead, I will look ahead.  And, free my broken heart from any/all pain that I've experienced.

Already, I have forgiven those who have hurt me.  And, will continue to show them love.

Just as God told us we should do, in Matthew 5:43-48  , "Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

It seems that those in/of the world usually spread hatred.  And, show little or no love to others.

But, this is not what God would have us do.

He made Himself very clear, with regards to what He would have us do.  Those of us who are His children.  Those of us, who belong to Him.

He told us to love our enemies.

We need to bless them that curse us.

We need to do good to those who hate us.

And, we need to pray for them, which despitefully use us, and persecute us.

So, to be obedient to God's calling, I will do exactly what He commanded of me.  I will not only forgive, but I will also continue to show love, do good, and pray... for those who have been hurtful towards me.

And, I will praise God for His Word.  For the Holy Spirit, who guides us.  And, of course, for our Lord, Jesus Christ.

No.  I am not perfect.

However, I will continue to be obedient to Him.  And, praise Him.  And, honour Him, whenever I can.

Until next time...
