If you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, you'll know that I slept my way from 2013 to 2014. lol :)
On January 1st, I was supposed to go visit a friend of mine, M. We planned to celebrate her birthday, with some of her family.
This didn't happen.
Our weather was so badly severe, that M phoned me. She let me know that her husband had gone to the store and came back letting her know the roads were dangerous. M let me know that we could get together another day, when it was safe to drive.
So, I wished M Happy Birthday, and stayed home.
By Friday, it seemed our roads were better to drive on. So, I went to M's home to visit and celebrate her birthday!
It was a nice visit, but I ended up leaving earlier than our conversation would have liked. :(
Being the first (1st) Friday of the month, meant that I had to be at Tim Horton's (TH) to meet up with my friends for fun, food and fellowship! :) Since it didn't take me long to drive there from M's home, I was the first (1st) person to get there.
After getting the area set up for our group, friends began to arrive.
Normally, it is only Christian friends who meet, there. But, on this evening, a non-Christian friend joined us.
We had a good time! Well, I believe we all did. For certain, I did!
I truly enjoyed getting together with my friends!
Thinking about friends, Proverbs 18:24 came to mind, "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."
How grateful I was to be able to enjoy an evening with my friends! Just as I do, every month.
But, the friend I am most thankful for, is Jesus!
He may be a friend to all who believe upon Him, but He is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Hallelujah! Thank You, Lord!
I cannot imagine ever living a day in my life, without Jesus.
Yet, we had a friend join us, who wasn't a believer in Christ. In fact, this person considers himself to be an atheist.
An atheist is someone who doesn't believe that God even exists. Never mind, His only begotten Son, who suffered, died and was resurrected, to provide the world/all who believe upon Him, salvation!
Believe me when I say I pray for this person. And, all like him, who refuse to trust in Jesus Christ, for their salvation.
Unfortunately, if they don't come to Christ, people like that won't spend eternity in Heaven. Instead, they will spend eternity in Hell.
Thinking of this breaks my heart. So, I'll continue to pray. And, plant seeds for Christ, wherever and whenever I can.
Until next time...
