Wonderful!

As you know, today is once again our Lord's Day!  Just like I normally say, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be going to worship Him!

When I think of what a busy and loving week I had, I think of how wonderful God is to me!

Speaking of wonderful, He is wonderful.  In so many ways.

Of course, this brought to mind a song that I adore.

It is by Audrey Mieir, and is entitled, His Name Is Wonderful!  Here is a link, so you can listen and/or sing along:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXjMFqJUCKs.  Here are the lyrics:

His Name Is Wonderful

His name is Wonderful,
His name is Wonderful,
His name is Wonderful,
Jesus, my Lord;
He is the mighty King,
Master of everything,
His name is Wonderful,
Jesus, my Lord.

He's the great Shepherd,
The Rock of all ages,
Almighty God is He;
Bow down before Him,
Love and adore Him;
His name is Wonderful,
Jesus, my Lord.

He's the great Shepherd,
The Rock of all ages,
Almighty God is He;
Bow down before Him,
Love and adore Him;
His name is Wonderful,
Jesus, my Lord.

Yes, He's Wonderful!  He's my Lord!

Whenever I think of these lyrics and think of Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, I think of Isaiah 9:6, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

As we approach Christmas, the time when we celebrate the birth of Christ, I thank God for sending His only begotten Son, to earth.  And, I thank Jesus, for being obedient to God, the Father.

After all, if He hadn't come to earth, He would not have fulfilled God's plan of redemption for us.  Instead of us having a way to spend eternity in Heaven with Him, we would be lost and without hope.

Our future eternal life, would not be in Heaven, with Him.  Instead, we would be spending it in Hell.  With no chance of escape.

How thankful I am that God loved us, so very much.  How thankful I am that Jesus loved us, so very much.  How thankful I am that we have the Holy Spirit with us, each and every day.  Thank You, dear God!

Until next time...
