The Last Dance...

As I've discussed here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) many times in the past, I wake up with songs on my heart and mind, on a fairly regular basis.

This has been happening to me daily, over the past week or more.

The song that's been part of my life lately, was sung by The Drifters entitled Save The Last Dance For Mehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKkmfgp8mC8.  Here is the lyrics:

Save The Last Dance For Me

You can dance
Every dance with the guy
Who gives you the eye
Let him hold you tight

You can smile
Every smile for the man
Who held your hand
'Neath the pale moonlight

But don't forget who's taking you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
So darlin'
Save the last dance for me, mmm

Oh I know
That the music's fine
Like sparkling wine
Go and have your fun

Laugh and sing
But while we're apart
Don't give your heart
To anyone

But don't forget who's taking you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
So darlin'
Save the last dance for me, mmm

Baby don't you know I love you so?
Can't you feel it when we touch?
I will never, never let you go
I love you oh so much

You can dance
Go and carry on
Till the night is gone
And it's time to go

If he asks
If you're all alone
Can he take you home
You must tell him no

'Cause don't forget who's taking you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
So darlin'
Save the last dance for me

'Cause don't forget who's taking you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
So darlin'
Save the last dance for me, mmm

Save the last dance for me, mmm
Save the last dance for me

Why this song has been playing over and over in my heart and mind all week long, has been a mystery to me.  At least, until yesterday.

That's when it seemed God answered my prayer, and answered me.

It seemed to relate well to John 14:1-3, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

How grateful I am for God's Word, the Bible.

Even before He seemed to give me an answer to my prayer, all week long, I kept thinking about my Lord, every time this song resonated in my mind.  Over and over, again.

Whenever I thought about the lyrics:  don't forget who's taking you home... and in whose arms you're gonna be... I would think about Jesus.

After all, it's because my sin has been covered by the blood of Jesus, that I have been forgiven and redeemed.  It is He, whose arms are wrapped around me, every minute of every day!

And, as we read in verse 3, when He goes and prepares a place for those me, He will come again, and receive me unto Him.  This way, I can be with my Lord.

The same thing can apply to you.  If you are trusting in/believing upon Jesus.  Just as He said, in verse 1.

By doing so, you'll be saved and granted eternal life, by the grace that is given unto us, by Him.  Hopefully, I'll see you in heaven, one day!

As for me, I am thankful that I am saved.  This way, I can definitely save the last dance, for Him.

And, be safe in the arms of my Lord, Jesus Christ.

Until next time...
