Sing and Shout!

Being our Lord's day, just as I've said before here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I will be going to church.

Worshipping God is the best thing I can think of doing on SONdays.

Quite often, when I think of Jesus, I think about what will happen when my life ends.  After all, none of us will live forever.

When I thought about this over this past week, I was reminded about a song that was sung recently during a worship service.  It's entitled, When We All Get To Heaven; here's a link so you can listen and/or sing along:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVh687Kcnbo

When We All Get To Heaven - Eliza E. Hewitt

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus
Sing His mercy and His grace
In the mansions bright and blessed
He'll prepare for us a place

When we all get to Heaven
What a day of rejoicing that will be
When we all see Jesus
We'll sing and shout the victory

While we walk the pilgrim pathway
Clouds will over spread the sky
But when travelin' days are over
Not a shadow, not a sign

When we all get to Heaven
What a day of rejoicing that will be
When we all see Jesus
We'll sing and shout the victory

Onward to the prize before us
Soon His beauty we'll behold
Soon the Pearly Gates will open
We shall tread the streets of gold

When we all get to Heaven
What a day of rejoicing that will be
When we all see Jesus
We'll sing and shout the victory

When we all see Jesus
We'll sing and shout the victory

Sing!  Shout the victory!

Thinking of how I will sing and shout, I thought about various verses in the Bible.  One was Psalm 47:5-7, "God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.  Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.  For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding."

That's exactly what I know I will do, when I get to heaven.  I will sing praises to God!

After all, we are nothing without Him.  Nothing.

But, by Him, we are made righteous and are given the gift of eternal salvation.

What gift could ever be better than this?

Of course, this gift is only given to those who are trusting in Jesus Christ.  And, the finished work He did on the cross at Calvary.

Are you trusting in Jesus?

If not, your future will not be in heaven.  It will be in hell, for you will be separated from God.  With no chance of escape.

Don't wait to think about it.  Give your life to Jesus.  And, trust in Him, for everything.  Now.

Until next time...
