Thankful for Grace!

Today's SONday, and I'm letting you know here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), that I'm going to worship, God!
As you know, I love music.  And, music resonates in my heart and mind, regularly.
Here is a link to a hymn that I adore entitled, I Know Not Why God's Wondrous Grace:
I Know Not Why God's Wondrous Grace - Daniel Webster Whittle & James McGranahan
I know not why God’s wondrous grace
To me He hath made known,
Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love
Redeemed me for His own.

But I know Whom I have believèd,
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I’ve committed
Unto Him against that day.

I know not how this saving faith
To me He did impart,
Nor how believing in His Word
Wrought peace within my heart.

I know not how the Spirit moves,
Convincing men of sin,
Revealing Jesus through the Word,
Creating faith in Him.

I know not what of good or ill
May be reserved for me,
Of weary ways or golden days,
Before His face I see.

(I know not when my Lord may come,
At night or noonday fair,
Nor if I walk the vale with Him,
Or meet Him in the air.)

Why did God redeem me?

I'm not a perfect person.  I am flawed, just like everyone else in this world.

So, why did He elect to save me?

Those are questions I've asked myself.  But, with many years of Bible study and reading of God's Word, I've come to realize that although I am imperfect, God chose me and saved me for reasons only He knows.

And, for this, I am thankful!

After all, I was born into sin.  Just like you were.  How do we know this?

God told us so, in Ephesians 2:1-9, "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Yes, each one of us was physically born into this world, as a sinful person.  No one was exempt from this happening, except Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.

But, with God's mercy, He loved us so very much that He sent His only begotten Son to earth, to die on a wooden cross for the sin of the world, of all who will believe.  And, because Jesus overcame the world, we can also.

All you need to do, is trust/believe on the Lord, Jesus Christ and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31).

Until next time...
