The Hour Cometh...

Yesterday, being our Lord's Day, as I mentioned I would here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I went to worship with a church group.

It was a different group than where I had worshipped and told you about over the past few months.  But, in fact, it's a church group that I worshipped with in the past.

More than 19 years ago, was the last time I worshipped with them.  You probably haven't guessed correctly, even though I wrote about how I worshipped there, when I first returned to live in Windsor.

The Salvation Army (SA).

Recently, a Facebook (FB) friend contacted me.  Of course, over the time I've been using FB, I've had many FB friends contact me.  Usually, we chat.

This FB friend was a little different.  He lives, here in the city I live in.  Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

During some of our discussions, I mentioned that I have been worshipping with various groups, as of late.  He mentioned that he's also looking around, even though he had been worshipping with the SA for a while.

We agreed to worship together at SA, yesterday.

There are two (2) locations, here in Windsor.  We met for the 10:30 a.m. service, at the South Windsor Citadel.

When I walked into the building, I was absolutely floored.  lol  I suppose the word floored, could have a double meaning, here.

You see, the last time I had worshipped with this group, in the spring of 1994, the sanctuary was much smaller.  In fact, it seemed to be about double the size, yesterday!

And, there seemed to be more people gathered to worship than I had recalled seeing, in the past.  I praised God for this!

Of course, over the years, growth in the family of worship isn't really something to be surprised at.

At least, that's the way I feel about it.  Especially, since it seems to me that those who are not truly believers in Christ, seem to be falling away.  Or, worshipping with religious groups where false teaching/preaching, happens.

In my opinion, true believers want to have a place to worship where they will hear God's truth in the preaching/teaching.

After all, God told us so, in John 4:23, "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him."

I must admit, I was very happy to have gone and worshipped at the Citadel, with my FB friend.

The preaching was wonderful!  I felt truly blessed, being able to worship with that committed group of believers.

It never ceases to amaze me, how God works all things together for good, to those who are the called, according to His purpose.  In other words, just as He told us He would do, for those who belong to Him.

If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, today is the day when you need to come to Him.

We are not guaranteed, tomorrow.  Tomorrow, may be too late.

Accept Christ, and repent... of your sin.

Then, He will bless you, beyond belief.

Until next time...
