Just...

Once again, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be writing about worshipping our Lord.

After all, today is SONday, our Lord's day!

When God created the world, in the first six (6) days, He ensured that the seventh (7th) day would be a day of rest.  A day, when we would be able to focus on Him.  A day, when we could honour and worship Him.

Thinking about worshipping, I know I'll be going to church today.  I love to honour and glorify my Lord.  After all, He is our God.

As I'm sure you're probably aware, I love to worship, musically.  In addition to traditional worship, of course.

Something I adore singing is by Dave Doherty; entitled, Come Let Us Worship & Bow Down.  Here is a link to hear it:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEK9u51ofZE

Come Let Us Worship & Bow Down

Come let us worship and bow down
Let us kneel before the Lord, our God, our Maker

Come let us worship and bow down
Let us kneel before the Lord, our God, our Maker

For He is our God
And we are the people of His pasture
And the sheep of His hand,

Just the sheep of His hand.

Come let us worship and bow down
Let us kneel before the Lord, our God, our Maker

Come let us worship and bow down
Let us kneel before the Lord, our God, our Maker

For He is our God
And we are the people of His pasture
And the sheep of His hand,

Just the sheep of His hand.

For He is our God
And we are the people of His pasture
And the sheep of His hand,

Just the sheep of His hand.

Every time I sing this, or think of this song, I am reminded the words of Psalm 95:6, "O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker."  In fact, more of the Psalm, than just this one verse.

After all, this song is almost a direct lyrical copy of part of the Psalm.  But, I'm thankful for the beautiful musical accompaniment.

As I said, I love singing this, for it is a form of worship.  It does my heart good to think about both the Psalm and lyrics of the song, for we must worship and bow down, and kneel before our Lord, our God, our Maker... to glorify and honour Him.

How grateful I am that He provided a day when we are able to meet together with others to do so.

After all, we are the people of His pasture.  And, the sheep of His hand.

Nothing more; nothing less.  Just the sheep of His hand.

I praise God for this!  Hallelujah!

Until next time...
